👍👍 A staple of Florence, this shop has been around for 20 years. The owner is very friendly and always around. We ordered the veggie platter and fried artichoke and it was all very fresh and delicious. One of the best meals we had in Italy. Highly recommend. The food was great. Many italian dishes. It was just what we needed. They have plenty of games and toys to keep the little ones patient until the food comes out. The owner and his daughter are so devoted and friendly. Side note if you like kombucha please request from them. The owner has his own batch of butch and it’s delicious.

I went to Ruth's tonight for some iced tea, a mozarella cheese fried sandwich with breadcrumbs and an Israeli salad. The very kind owner has worked for the Jewish community for ages, and I am so impressed that he was able to keep the restaurant open even during the pandemic. He's so helpful and sweet and approachable. He's known by the entire Italian community, in which he's very involved. The food there is either dairy or vegan. I asked to sit outside where there were a few tables, and he quickly went to set them up for me there. It was a lovely evening, and it was also nice watching him interact with the locals. He said that he bakes challot for Friday morning, and you can reserve space for meals Friday night or Saturday in advance. Thank you for your years of service with this community!

Wow wow wow!!! This place is UNBELIEVABLE! Best kosher in Italy! The flavors are strong, the ingredients fresh. You can taste the herbs! We returned here each day we were in Florence. This is a must go for kosher travelers. The owner is also a very kind person and we felt very welcomed by him and the ambiance he created in the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend!!

Ruth's is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Florence. Tonight I ordered a salmon with vegetables with hummus as a starter. Everything was absolutely delicious as always. The quality of the food is very high & always extremely tasty! They respect dietary restrictions and the service is very professional and quick. The owner of the restaurant, Simcha, is a wonderful man, kind and caring. His cooks are very nice! No matter how many times I return to the restaurant, I always leave with a smile on my face, a full stomach and on a positive note! The location of the restaurant is absolutely stunning- beside the synagogue. Thank you Simcha for such a wonderful experience and for making me feel at home with a delicious home cooked meal!! I cannot wait to come back! Kianna

The food was good without being extraordinary. Well it is good enough. It would have been a nice experience if the owner who is doing the service hadn’t been rude to us (and without any reason). He brought a dish for which we ordered two. I asked a silly question if that was the two dishes in one and he answered : it is only one but I have only 2 hands. Later my wife asked for another bottle of water and he looked at me and said :”he knows where is the water, he can get it himself”. Was that even a joke ? We didn’t drink. We were with 2 of our kids. Why being rude for no reason in front of kids. I was happy to leave. Sad.

We walked in as a group of 9 without a reservation and the owner accommodated us with no problem. We ordered many dishes and shared. Everything was good. We especially liked the caponata, pesto pasta, mushroom and cream pasta, pizza, and lentil soup. Very affordable prices too. The highlight is the owner and the very personal decor in this homey restaurant. He’s an incredibly interesting man with a good sense of humor. We were so happy to find this restaurant and would definitely return if we come again to Florence.

Authentic and delicious Italian cuisine made with love. Everything here tasted homemade and far exceeded our expectations. The artichokes are a must.

I recently had a lovely lunch at Ruth's in Florence. It's a great change of pace from heavy Tuscan cuisine. The staff is very kind and very accommodating.

I will be dreaming about the food from this beautiful restaurant until I go again! Hopefully soon! I had the zucchini and cheese bites, that were like melt in your mouth delicious! When you order, you receive a FULL plate of food…I was so so full. I also had the fried artichoke, which reminded me of salty potato chips, with a touch of magic. Oh my goodness! The ambience of the restaurant, was so warm and so welcoming. My friend said it feels like home to her, and I had to agree. The staff are so attentive. As a vegetarian, just craving some really good food….5+ stars all the way!

Incredible food, the atmosphere is so warm and homely, and the owner and waiters were so so kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend the Caprese salad, the minestrone soup and the Carozza sandwich. Tomorrow, we are going back!

We ordered pizzas, fried artichoke, falafel and coffee. Pizza and coffee were average but the artichoke and falafel were good. We however enjoyed couple of games that was available.

Great restaurant with fresh food and good service. It is a dairy place as well as vegan. Try their artichoke, their lentil soup, their lasagna. Desserts are excellent, would recommend the chocolate one and the almond one. Owner is very diligent and helpful.

We went this evening, arrived straight out of the pouring rain. We were a group of 10, with a lot of children and nothing was too much effort for them! The whole team were so kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that the very wet and hungry children were looked after. Highly recommend!

This place deserves a special shout out.. this is our 3rd time eating in this place, food is always fresh and delicious. But they won us over, when the chef said the kitchen is closed already and we couldn't get French fries for our baby, and surprisingly he came back with this plate of French fries saying he has a daughter too and didn't want our baby to be disappointed so he specially made that for her.. AAAA++++ this place is a winner...

We had a lovely lunch here after visiting the Synagogue. We got the artichoke, platter for 2, and some homemade lemonade. Absolutely fantastic meal and great service! We even got a postcard at the end to send home to our parents

Lovely little eclectic restaurant. Made to feel very welcome. The owner greets every customer with great warmth. We shared the vegetarian and seafood platters. Very nice. The latkes were very tasty even if it was August. Highly recommend.

Best vegetarian/pescatarian restaurant in Florence! Succulent, perfectly seasoned, Mediterranean dishes. Fast, friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Terrific.
