We decided to keep things close to our hotel during a potentially stormy evening in Florence, and we are SO happy that we did! This ended up being one of the most memorable meals we had during our 3 weeks in Italy. The friendly service was the best we received during the whole trip, and the food was very flavorful and satisfying. I took the leap for the dry aged Bistecca, and didn’t regret it for a moment.

The food is super yummy! Especially Tiramisu, probably the best tiramisu that I’ve ever tasted in Italy.

Everything about this place was amazing. The food was heavenly! The staff was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. They even gave us recommendations to do while in town. The Sirloin and Tiramisu were absolute perfection! On a side note- they let in a sweet 14yo yellow lab and gave her water and a towel to lay on. Certainly elevated our experience.

Good service, delicious menu, reasonable prices. Seemed to be the businessman’s lunch spot. Would definitely go here again.

Nice location. Nice digs. Slow service which is typical of Italy and not always a bad thing. We have the shrimp ceviche. I would recommend this. The avocado and shrimp combo was tasty. After a lengthy wait we finally were able To order the crepe Florentino and the pork with cheese fondue and onions. This also took a long time. The onions were barely warm. The pork was nice and warm. Over all tasty. A creative combination. The crepes arrived barely warm. The server quickly took it back and reheated it. Over all the crepe was nice but I found the sauce lacking. Price was appropriate fir what we had, but I had higher expectations.

Great restaurant! The food was phenomenal, and the service was really good. We were a big group, too, so we were grateful that they were able to accommodate us so quickly and efficiently

We were told how good Florentine steak was and that we had to try it in Florence. I’m so glad this was the place we decided to make that happen. Borderline Firenze is such a welcoming place. Tall ceilings and elegant table settings really made it quite romantic. The staff were great, very welcoming and attentive. They also looked like they were having fun which always makes me happy to see. We started with a bottle of wine and the ‘Tartare di Salmone con Avocado, Lime e Sesamo Nero’. It was incredibly fresh and flavourful. Everything paired so perfectly together. The salmon, avocado, sesame, and lime…. I feel like this is the only way I want to eat salmon for the rest of my life. I had the ‘Tagliata di Controfiletto di Manzo con Misticanza e Riduzione di Aceto Balsamico’. Mouthwatering. Tender. Cooked to absolute perfection it felt like a privilege to eat it. Trevor had the ‘Tomahawk alla Brace con Patate al Forno’. He said, multiple times, that it was the best steak he’s ever had. Once he tried the potatoes he said the same thing, best potatoes he’s ever had. Overall, if you’re picking up what he’s putting down, the best meal he’s ever had! What a luscious dish. It definitely met and surpassed Trevor’s expectations. I tried a piece and it really was next level flavourful, but I struggle with the rare meat (I was a veggie for 13 years). Trevor was SO full. Have a look at the before and after photos. We went to bed after walking a very slow 15 minute walk back to the hotel. Needless to say, wow. From start to finish this meal, and the whole experience, was utter perfection. Is it the cheapest meal you’ll ever eat? No. Is it reasonable based on the overall quality of the food and top notch service? Yes. If you’re in Florence don’t miss out on Borderline Firenze. We sat for just over 3 hours and loved every second of it. They also give you Limoncello 🍋 at the end of the meal. Normally it is just a shot, our waiter gave us the whole bottle……

In Florence for professional reasons, we were taken to a place in town "were the beef is really good". I have to say that that was no joking, and we could enjoy delicious Fiorentina steaks, accompanied by glasses of phenomenal read Chianti. Did enjoy the food and the place as well, with its cozy mood and the very friendly and entertaining staff. If u r in Florence, definitely worth a try.

A tourist trap. Only reason we went is because it was close to the hotel (our mistake we realize!). Ordered risotto with scallops and dill and instead got unseasoned risotto with prawns. We brought this up with our waiter could not have cared less. Find somewhere better!!

We randomly found this place and ate here in June 2023. I have but one word - fabulous! Superb service with smiles everywhere! Delicious food prepared perfectly and served with style! The interior was nicely decorated! And a fair price for great all of it! Only two things to think about: the front door was open and lots of mosquitoes entered and bit us. The meat was a smidge underdone. That’s just personal preference. Aside from that - we loved the place! 5/5! Bravo!

Service was amazing, food was also great aside from a fishy pasts that was ordered. Probably no fault of the restaurant but it was terrible and taste like it was cooked in cod liver oil. All the other food ordered was amazing! Service here was spot on.

A bit hit and miss food which shouldn't happen at this price point. The wild boar ravioli sauce was delicious but the pici was significantly undercooked. The stuffed squid was almost inedibly tough. The tuna tartar was fabulous. My son's steak was unevenly cooked. Very attentive staff. I hope if they shore up the food consistency a bit they will do well!

Best wait staff we have had for our entire Italy trip. You can tell they love what they do. Would definitely go back, and I'm one who usually does not do that as I love to try new places. But Borderline is one place that I would continually go to if I lived in Florence! Thank you so much!!

The steak was good, the wine was good. Terrible bread. Service was friendly and good. It’s a bit trendy, so if you want a classic Florence experience look elsewhere.

10/10 love this place, love the food and love the people who work there. We went back for takeout our 2nd night because we had such a great experience and they went above and beyond again! If you are looking for delicious food and FANTASTIC service this is the place for you. Will miss Borderline, love Sarah and Jamie from Canada 🇨🇦

Excellent service, even when they are busy. Super nice guys running the place. Get the veal steak - it is to die for. 2022 vintage 100% traminer is phenomenal. Tiramisu for desert is a cherry on top!

Awesome well seasoned traditional Florence steak only cooked medium rare. Not for tourist eater who are not use to eating very rare steaks. They have innovative pasta dishes that are delicious too.

Picked it cause it was right next to our hotel. To our surprise the food was awesome and the the staff was so warm and friendly. We had at least 5 different staff members check to see if we were satisfied. We would definitely go back.

I spent two weeks in Italy and this was the only restaurant that I went to twice. The staff is very friendly, and welcoming. Their flavors are absolutely on point. I highly recommend the bruschetta with anchovies. Also, in the entire time I was in Italy, the Tiramisu at Borderline was by far the best.

👍👍 You'll always see queues, but they are actually quite fast, so don't stress! They helped us with recommendations. We ordered one to share, as we wanted a bite mid morning, and it tasted really good. The meat quality is great, and the stracciatella was super creamy. The pistachio cream was amazing an...
