It was very nice, the view played a big part... It was beautiful day and we had a table outside, the oliveto was beautiful. We had a few dishes most were good, it's not the food that will make the event special it's the combo of the outside and overall feeling that you are out in the country while you are 25 min walk from the center. The stuff are very nice and welcoming the food overall was good, a bit too much salt and a bit expensive (listed price). ** We came with a 50% off coupon which just made even better.

We stopped here to get a drink. The waiter was dismissive: “All tables are reserved”. After half an hour we persuaded them to give us a table. Another half hour went by, our table was still not cleared of the glasses of the previous visitors. Exactly one hour after arriving, we were finally able to order our drinks. This place is in a magnificent setting, but the service lets it down.

We hiked up the hill in eager anticipation of this place. We booked several weeks in advance. They seated us inside in a hot stuffy room with no view. The menu was not great. There was only one item I would choose to eat. The server was rude. I would not recommend.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. We were seated outside and given the bar menu, we ordered drinks, the drinks came. We waited and then had to ask if we could have a food menu. We were told that our table was too small for food and we would have to move tables. However, there were 2 tables next to us with 2 different couples and it was obvious from all the dishes on their tables that they had both been served meals on the tables that we were told were “too small” for us to eat on. We were given a food menu but no one ever came back to take our order, we waited for about 40 minutes. In the end we got up and went to the bar to pay for 2 drinks so we could leave and go somewhere to eat. Even when asking for our check they tried to charge us with a surcharge of half the cost of the total bill. Terrible, horrible restaurant, definitely avoid it. If you are visiting Florence and want to drive away from the city center for a really nice meal make sure you don’t stop at this place. Instead, go straight to La Bianchina, excellent restaurant! You will be treated well and get to enjoy a fantastic meal!

Great location with a small garden above Piazzale Michelangelo. Great for sitting outside. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming and the food was fresh and tasty. They are doing many homemade things like bread, etc. The only small disadvantage is the price but the place is definitely worth it for a bit more special occasions like birthdays.

We chose this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. I booked it weeks in advance and was told about the beautiful garden setting it offers. Upon arrival we were seated in a stuffy back room with no view and no air. The menu choices were very limited, but the biggest disappointment was the horrendously RUDE service. We were clearly an inconvenience to them. At one point even, my sister got up from the table to take a picture of our group of 7, and the server who was standing there watching ran out of the room as not to be asked to take a picture of us all together. There were only two other tables there so it was not that they were busy. I asked at the end why we were seated inside, the server said they had a party there earlier that day. Had I known that I would have booked a different day. Now knowing what I know I would not have booked this at all. Oh, and it was the most expensive meal we had in all of Florence. Truly disappointed.

Great place! Went here for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. Large are for lunch with huge umbrellas to keep the somewhat brutal summer sun at bay. There is rolling lawns and a nursery on the property so good for people with children and pets. Food was amazing, I had the prawn risotto- very delicate Coffee as great and the dessert (cheescake) was unbelievable. Worth a visit.

This is the best restaurant we’ve been in Florence! The food was absolutely amazing! It has a beautiful garden and the atmosphere is very tranquil. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, friendly service and delicious food! I loved the risotto primaverile in particular, and the mushroom and ceci bread dish (cannot remember the name), but everything we tried was tasty and particular. They use ingredients from their garden, and you can taste that! Definitely recommended

We stopped there for a coffee, so I cannot say anything about food. But the place is beautiful and the service was very good. We plan to return there to have a lunch.

We arrived to our hotel late and hungry, then awoke all our senses at this Chalet. Wonderful place to eat and enjoy the view of the attractive and very nicely layed out garden. We tried the fried octopus and 'Carbonara 2.0' - found both creative, nice to smell and to look at and delicious at the same time. Service friendly, quick & attentive. Recommended! Only thing is: we're afraid this has been the best meal in the next several weeks..;-)

Excellent restaurant just on the hill above Florence. Absolutely worth the trip to get away from the crowds

Interesting dishes like stuffed quail and stuffed rabbit. Portions not large, but tasty. Prices not unreasonable, but service a bit on the slow side due to understaffing. Had to ask for a napkin and ice came without a pair of tongs. Has a nice patio with a view of the surrounding countryside.

Beautiful garden and relaxing environment for enjoying a drink or a meal. One of my favorite places in Florence.

Do not go to this restaurant - small portions, overpriced and bad food. I ordered seitan which was very bland and hard to chew. My partner ordered duck ragu which was tasteless and poor, worse than canned sauce. We were still feeling hungry because of the tiny portion, disgusted by the food and feel like we wasted our money. We were unaware of the price of the water and that there was an extra cover charge. The tastiest was the complementary bread and it wasn't even that good. We told the waiter about our dissatisfaction and he said he'd inform the chef. Later I sent an email to the restaurant with no response. Although it is located at a beautiful place with a nice garden and polite waiters, I am so disappointed by the food quality and can not recommend this place at all.
