If you want amazing gelato crafted with care please visit this place. The lower amount of selections is an indication that the gelato is real and made consistently fresh. Saffron with pistachio is truly heaven on earth for your mouth. The owner and staff are wonderfully amazing people. It is worth your time.

After a month and a half in Firenze, and trying A LOT of different gelato places, I can say this gelateria is the best one!! I always ended up coming back here. It’s a small business behind Santa Croce and they make the gelato right there. They even have their own flavor specialties which are sooo good. Also the owner is a really nice and kind person, I ended up chatting with him and he even helped me with my Italian. The only bad thing I can say about this place is that the gelato is so good I always want to have more 🥲

We were lucky that our Airbnb was on the parallel street and we could sweeten our trip with this gelato every single day. Over the days, we tried every single flavor and enjoyed each. Tip: try Zafran ice cream or mix hazelnut with chocolate.

I came back to Gelatissimi 7 years after my first visit and YES, it is still the place where you can eat outstanding ice cream in Firenze. A must try is "Saffron".... simply unforgettable. The short walk from Sta-Crocce is well worth the effort, and there are 3 tables in the quiet street to enjoy the ice-cream.
