The staff was very nice and helpful to us. It was a good location to see all the places we wanted to see. There were a lot of good restaurants close to the hotel. We had a great time staying there and I would stay there again if we go back to Florence.

David at check in is wonderful and spent time giving us great recommendations of things to do. Unfortunately the hotel itself was not good. The bathroom lighting is so dark there is no way to do makeup/get ready in it. Shower is quite small with no door handles on the inside to close the door. Mosquitos are an issue, they did provide a dusty mosquito repellent to plug in but it was gross. There is A/C but it hardly does anything to cool the room. It was so hot and buggy that we decided to check out early. Rooms are very small.

Dec 2022. I loved this chic hotel. It may be inconspicuous on the outside, the interior lobby maybe small, it was so cozy without any waste of space. The rooms were cleverly arranged and clean. I loved the rainforest shower. It offered scrumptious American breakfast. It was located just 5min walk from the termini which made it a convenient accommodation choice to points of interest.

Great Rooms! It has a desk which can be very useful. Internet service did not work very well at night. Very good attention at the reception. Giovanni is the best!!

We chose this hotel for the location as we loved being able to walk everywhere! It was a quick five minute walk to the train station and about twenty minutes to across the river. The staff was very nice and the little note and treat we got at checkout definitely put a smile on our faces. I would definitely stay here again!

Service was AMAZING! Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful! We stayed for our honeymoon and they provided prosecco in our room at check-in and again mid-stay! So thoughtful and generous! We would definitely stay here again. Just a short walk from the train station and close to many of the amazing attractions that Firenze has to offer. 100% recommend!

Wonderful hotel! Highly recommend - greeted by lovely staff members and smiles throughout the hotel - Room was well thought out, spacious and clean. We received various toiletries and slippers - Intimate breakfast setting, food was great and there was freshly made coffee by lovely staff - No hidden costs and allowed us to pay in advance - Close to the train station and many highly rated restaurants - can walk anywhere! - Room was thoroughly cleaned each day! - The service and staff here are so kind and lovely! I highly recommend 😌

This hotel was lovely! Very clean and the staff was friendly. They had a small but wonderful breakfast - great quality! I liked how there was always someone at the front desk. They were always available for questions and made us feel safe. On the last day of our stay, they left little goodie bags on our doors with a thank you note and cookies. A sweet gesture. Everything was exceptional! I definitely recommend The Market Urban Hotel.

The housekeeping was excellent at maintaining the rooms, and was very quick. The front desk was not only polite, but extremely helpful, going as far as to help us navigate the city and even made a dinner reservation on our behalf once, (thank you Giovanni!). The breakfast service was delicious, and the two attendants, Nicole and Christian, were always extremely accommodating. Every staff member at this hotel went above and beyond in achieving the comfort of us guests, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel has a sewage smell throughout the building. Ac does not work properly. All of Florence has bad internet but you’d think a hotel would pay to booster theirs, this hotel does not! Friendly staff. But overall I will not stay here again, I live in Milano. Odd bathrooms, in that I don’t need my partner watching me in the shadow box bathroom windows. Edit: after the response below I do alter my review on my stay to 3 stars. Sewage smell is. It their fault and they do clean throughout the day to keep it smelling fresh. But the internet is absolutely horrid

I initially booked a room but my plans took an unexpected turn. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the reservation, and it wasn't until just a few hours before check-in that I realized my oversight. Consequently, I incurred a cancellation fee of about $260. In a last-minute effort, I reached out to the hotel, explaining my situation and kindly requesting a fee waiver. To my relief, the hotel staff displayed remarkable empathy and agreed to waive the fee, on the condition that the room would be resold for the night. Luckily, the room found a new guest, and I am genuinely grateful for their honesty and understanding. It's truly a testament to their integrity, as they could have easily double-booked the room and charged me as well. I'm eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to stay at this place in the future, given their outstanding level of trustworthiness.

An exceptional hotel, with exceptional staff. We were greeted with complimentary cappuccinos and snacks as well as the hotel manager letting us use the mini fridge in the room for free during our stay. They gave us great recommendations for where to visit, and location is only a 3 minute walk from the train station. It is very convenient. Very pleased to have found this hotel

Amazing hotel in the city center of Florence. The small rooms are so.well designed that do.nlt feel cluastrofoic at all. You can walk everywhere from here. I Will certainly go back and recommend to anyone.

We stayed here 2 nights and it was a comfortable experience. The property looked modern with decent finishings, but could do with some better upkeep and attention to detail. The staff were very helpful and friendly, though. Our family room was spacious and clean - with the exception of a random shoe print on the wall near the ceiling. Maybe someone was killing a mosquito? The water pressure in the shower was some of the best I’ve had in Italy. Breakfast was a nice touch with typical pastries, antipasti choices, fresh fruit, and coffee. If you’d like an “American” style breakfast, they have eggs, bacon, and pancakes on offer as well.

The service was fantastic- Giovanni went out of his way to help me with an ongoing problem I was having with a Viator tour, a large false charge, he really tried to help- Rubin too! Giovanni also told us how to get to the best sights in the city and places to eat and shop- the room was beautiful, gorgeous wood floors and big windows, and the complementary breakfasts were really amazing- even for my husband who is vegan! We couldn’t say enough good things about this hotel, and the friendly and super helpful service made it just wonderful!

Perfect stay in the middle of Florence! Excelent staff that wants to make every minute of your stay perfect! Big, clean and stylish room with good closing windows so its silent! Delicious breakfast, with very friendly staff! 100 percent recommended, we will come back for sure 😊

Modern room with all the light buttons were touchless. i felt very comforted and rested in the rooms. My husband mentioned multiple times that its a great hotel with affordable price 5. Great breakfast at no additional charges. The girl helping in the breakfast room was super nice and welcoming.

If you're looking for a great hotel to stay in Florence look no further. My husband and I love to travel and we have stayed in many hotels, but this hotel was special. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we got there. Giovanni was in the front desk and he went above and beyond to make us feel special. The room smelled wonderful and even the sheets smelled delicious. I certainly will stay in this hotel the next time I go to Florence. Special thanks to Giovanni that made our stay unforgettable!

Super cute, modern hotel close to the train station. We loved the location and thought the breakfast was great - they had some American staples in addition to the traditional Italian pastries. The staff was always super helpful and the rooms were nice too!

This hotel is just amazing! It is located right in the heart of Florence Centro Storico, literally just steps from iconic places. The rates are so affordable in comparison with other hotels in Florence downtown, and the service they provide for this price is really good! The staff at the reception and breakfast - simply amazing, so welcoming, helpful, warm. The room cleanliness is very impressive, housekeeping does really wonderful job at this hotel! Bedsheets, towels are so white-fresh and white-clean (not the case in many other hotels, unfortunately). I’ve got single room, it wasn’t big, but it was smartly organized and had everything I needed and even more. Plus I had little terrace. So many cute details in this hotel - decoration, nice toiletries. Minibar is free and stuffed with so many good drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks) and snack bars. Minibar and all the toiletries are refilled every day so generously, room is cleaned every day just perfectly. I just loved this place, couldn’t recommend it more! I stayed four nights during Oct 27-31, and I will definitely stay only in this hotel, when I am in Florence.

Excellent hotel. Room was very clean and well-equipped (usb outlets, extra bathroom items you don’t normally see), staff was incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to be helpful, breakfast was surprisingly delicious and did not taste like usual mass-produced hotel food, the location is perfect. You cannot go wrong here and we would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic hotel. If you’re just after a (compact!) room to base out of then you don’t need any more than this. The whole place is very modern, all the fixtures and fittings seemingly brand new, and all immaculately clean. The bed is comfy, air con effective (if a little loud - more white noise than rattle though), and most noise pollution fairly well insulated. Only the shower pressure is let’s it down slightly, though it’s decent enough. Breakfast is very good - fresh juice, barista coffee to order, great quality food, though not a massive selection. The staff were universally excellent. Front desk were quick and efficient with everything, but also spent the time to give some great recommendations for food and where to go. They’re worth quizzing if you’re not sure where to head. Breakfast staff were great, if a little rushed off their feet. And the turndown service neatly ordered the bomb site we’d left in the room before we ran out to see the city. Location is good for the train station and a short walk to most of the main attractions. Highly recommended.

Great location within a short walk to the train station and to superb dining. Room was immaculately clean, and breakfast was fresh with coffee to order. Amazing, literally walk out of the Santa Novella Train station across the road and walk for 1 minute and you are there. Lovely, modern interior which is clean and tidy. Staff are so helpful if you need help with anything. Our room had a balcony and was quite big. On the more expensive side, but definitely worth it. 10/10 would recommend!!!

A great location and walking distance from the train station. However, the hotel has a bad smell. We stayed for 2 nights in January 2024 and had to keep the window open to get fresh air for the bad smell. The room is clean but the bathroom is extremely small and has no counter space. The hotel is definitely not a 4 stars hotel, especially with the very narrow hallway, maze turns and steps to get to the room.
