The hotel is located very near to the attractions of Florence, but the entrance does take a bit of observation to notice. The interior of the hotel is rustic and charming. Not modern but very clean. Hotel receptionists were also very kind and informative, always attending to all our needs. The view from the rooftop terrace is also stunning, able to catch a direct view of the Duomo.

Perfect location with super friendly staff who helps you with your luggage. Despite the buzzing area with many bars and restaurants the hotel was very quiet. The view outside our window was picturesque. The breakfast was small and cute with everything that you need to start your day. The mattress was slightly bouncy and sometimes you could hear the neighbors.

Absolutely fair price and amazingly good service. Even a coffee Maschine in the room. The view from the terrace alone is worth a stay. Definitely above 3 star level.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a rooftop terrace with a splendid view of Florence, especially in the morning or late evening. It's located in the city centre a bit of the beaten path so it isn't noisy.

Awesome hotel. Book a table at the restaurant across the street! It's bumping every night, food looks awesome, but it's always booked up. Staff at the hotel were excellent. Location was perfect. Would stay again here in a heartbeat.

The hotel is very central and you can anywhere within 15 minutes walk. The cathedral is just 4min walk, restaurants and bars near by, central station close too, etc. The staff is impeccable. Very kind and professional. Unfortunately, I had a health emergency that needed a visit to the hospital and the receptionist Giovanni came with me to assist and offered to stay. It was very helpful. Leonardo was too very kind and helpful, always taking care of our needs with breakfasts, city guidance, instructions, everything. The view is also great from the rooftop. The rooms are decent. Good in size and appliances available. The downsides are that you see several smashed mosquitos on the walls and they didn’t get cleaned during our stay. The toilet seat was kind of broken and the screw kept falling off. The walls are so thin that the guests next door sound like they are in your room. I could hear them snore during the night. The last downside is that it’s located on the third floor without elevator so you will lose your breath going up after your walks. Regardless of the above, I still recommend the hotel. It was a nice and safe stay after all.

A good hotel with an exceptional manager. The rooftop terrace is great and location is great. But!! There are 60 steps to get to reception, no lift. If you leave luggage the manager will bring it up for you. Older people should beware.!

The entire staff was incredible. We had lost our bags during our flight and Mario was incredibly helpful and fixed an error I had while booking. Rooms were a little small but had everything we wanted. The hotel is on the third floor, but the staff will carry your bag on request with no questions asked. The view from the terrace was gorgeous. Surrounded by tons of local shops and restaurants but very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We just stayed for 3 nights having booked another nearby hotel whose air conditioning had failed. We managed to get their last room. The reception staff were absolutely outstanding to us - very thoughtful and always helpful. Room was clean, bed comfortable, and shower worked well. Rooftop terrace has great views especially sunset. Great location. Better than 3 star.

What a fantastic hotel. We had a fantastic stay and have never felt so welcome by a hotel. The staff even noted a birthday without a prompt, showing genuine friendliness. The room was perfect, and the terrace was amazing, what a view!!! We can't wait to return

Marco made our stay in Florence wonderful! His hospitality was perfect and his restaurant recommendations were spot on. He provided us a map with really helpful directions and hand marked places on it based on what we told him we were interested in! He also offered to help us buy tickets for tours and museums and was helpful with ordering a taxi for us. He even gave us a free upgrade on our room because we had booked it far in advance. Overall, we were very happy we stayed here the location was great and the view from the roof was incredible!

We loved this hotel! Very charming and a good location to restaurants and all of the sights. The rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. Loved having a glass of wine on the roof top terrace with the beautiful view. Breakfast was great - Marco, Mario and Matt are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Don't worry about all of the stairs - these are strong guys who will get your luggage up - no problem!!

Perfect hosts, very good hospitality. The hotel has a good location in the center of the city. The rooftop terras is great! The rooms are spacious and very clean. Highly recommended.

We stayed here 3 days and I was so much better than I thought it would be. Clean and comfortable room and the most friendly people running the hotel, they made the stay so nice… 5 stars for service & and great breakfast too. Yes it is on the 3rd floor… they gladly take your bags for you. I definitely recommend Hotel Cardinal - great location too!

This place was top class it is situated so close to the centre, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are amazing and the views from the roof terrace are beyond phenomenal I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on my trip.

Very wonderful stay and the staff made it special - so attentive and generous. We have nothing to complain about because the staff was so kind. Accommodations were nice as well just very thin walls and very noisy street which usually doesn’t bother us but we slept with window open
