I strongly recommend buying the FirenzeCard. If you have 3+ days, it easily pays for itself even before weighing the benefit of the the expedited entry at some, if not most sites. I've included my cost and value calculations below. We bought the actual card at our first stop at the Bargello and it was very easy to use throughout our 72 hours of use. Given some of the negative experiences posted about the mobile voucher and app, I'd definitely recommend getting the physical card. Point of Sale locations are found under the "Buy" section of the FirenzeCard, but I'd suggest getting it at one of the less popular attractions on your list. We also staggered our sightseeing so that we could use our 72 hours over 4 days; we started on the afternoon of our first day and ended on the morning of our fourth day. While still a frenetic pace, it was less grueling than 3 concentrated days and still allowed us to see everything we wanted. Used from 12:30PM on 3/19/19 to 12PM on 3/22/19. Paid €85. Individual prices without FirenzeCard are included next to each attraction to illustrate savings and value: Bargello €8.00 Galleria Dell'Academia €12.00 Uffizi €20.00 Santa Maria Novella €7.50 Basilica San Lorenzo and Library ticket €9.50 Capelle Medicee €11.00 Palazzo Vecchio €19.50 including special exhibits Boboli Gardens €10.00 Pitti palace €16.00 (Uffizi + Pitti + Boboli Combo = €38) Ferragamo Museum was closed for renovations Bardini Gardens €10.00 (could be accessed for free with Boboli ticket) Museo San Marco €8.00 Nat'l Archeology Museum Firenze €10.00 Medici Palazzo Riccardi €10.00 including special exhibits Santa Croce Basilica €8.00 5 paid Duomo sites plus free Cathedral €18.00 Total price without FirenzeCard €177.50 In summary, we paid €85 euros to get €177.50 in attraction admissions. That's over 50% off! That €85 also includes expedited entry through the FirenzeCard or Reservation Lines depending on the site and access to special exhibits. Just get the card and you'll be good to go!

Firenze Card is, honestly, a huge disappointment. You still have to do the line to some of the museums (you have to guess which of them) so they give you a ticket so you can access them (in one of them after going up . to the 4th floor we were told that we had to get the ticket on the ground floor). Something they don't tell you about is, if you buy the firenze card online, to visit the duomo, cathedral, campanile and baptisterio you still have to stand in line at the info point so they can give you a ticket for them, and, aftewards, you have to do ALL the lines: hour and a half minimum for the cathedral (we were waiting to visit Campanille for half an hour and then when it was our turn we had to come back to the ticket office). One of the reasons to visit Florence was to see the Duomo and we couldn't because you have to make the reservation in person with FirenzeCard and when we arrived there weren't any tickets left until 4 days later. By the way, if you go near Duomo, there are people whispering if you want to skip the line to visit the Duomo buying them tickets (the ones you cannot have with FirenceCard I assume) which is totally unfair. Uffizi gallery also has a HUGE line, even for the Firenze Card. It's, in my opinion, a waste of money. You only skip a few lines to some of the museums, but if you buy those tickets online with the reservation you skip also the line.

Just got back from Florence, definitely one city everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime, simply gorgeous. I completely regret getting the Firenzecard, it offered zero benefit to my visit. You still have to go through the hassle of finding ticket offices which are usually in a separate location and not well marked, but you still have to present your card alongside the ticket for scanning. Also I never found a single "skip the line with Firenzecard" opportunity anywhere. There's no signage even mentioning the Firenzecard, so the only way to get information is to be told by an annoyed employee who obviously has to repeat themselves a million times a day. Even getting the card was a hassle when the website glitched out and I had to email staff twice to send my vouchers. The only way I can see this card saving any money is with the extra two days tacked on for free, otherwise savings are minimal and outweighed by frustration. As for convenience, it's actually less convenient than just buying tickets normally since it's an extra unnecessary step on top of all the other normal procedures. On the plus side, the card doubles as a souvenir and comes with a lanyard.

Card is suspended since 2020. Would have been nice to find a hint on the landing page, not when you try to buy it ...

If you have 3 full days in Firenze and you know that you will want to enter in most of the famous museums and palaces, then I would recommend you to get the card as it's good value for money. However, be aware that for certain places you will still need to book your ticket in advance; in the ones we visited we had to do so for the cupula of the cathedral, the Uffizi gallery and the galleria dell'Accademia. This is all explained in the papers they give you with the card. For the cathedral, you pick up your entrance ticket from the museum ticket office, the ticket is valid for 72 hours and it will allow you to visit cupula, museum, bell tower, the crypt and of course the cathedral. A part for the cupola all the others you can visit without booking them. I wouldn't give it 5 stars because it's not very well organised. Each museum after scanning your card issues you a small paper ticket (like a pdq receipt), which is so easy to loose. And in general the queue system in the city is not the best, especially in the Uffizi, where even thought we had already booked our ticket (using the Firenze card), we still had to scan the card at the museum. I think there is room for improvement, also it may be worth doing a similar scheme to the one in Amsterdam, where you can have a card that lasts 24,48,72, etc. hours. I think day trippers may take advantage of that if it was an option.

DO NOT PURCHASE. This card gets a good reputation because people like Rick Steve's were promoting it in 2017, but it is now a huge scam. The city keeps selling them, but almost no big attractions or museums accept them. When they do, you are the last person so get in. Museums will give you last priority because they don't make as much money from the Firenze cards as their own ticket sales. Everyone is starting reject these cards. And you can't make reservations after purchasing the cards because none of the attraction websites let you use the Firenze card as payment. So to make a reservation (which you absolutely should do) you'd end up paying twice. Everyone is so rude when you even ask if the Firenze card is accepted. Total scam.

I don't recommend it. Not good value for what they offer. Very bureaucratic to get museum tickets. You end up having to queue for ages just to book tickets you've already paid for. They don't give you the option of booking online. Customer support is poor and lacks empathy. Staff at some museums treat you badly when they see that you've bought the card instead of the ticket at the box office. No information about accessibility on their app. I had a bad experience overall.

Only worth it if you are planning to visit lots and lots of sights. Don't expect to be able to skip lines. Usually applicable to these kind of cards, but not this one; you'll need to get your (free) ticket at the ticket office just like any one else. Moreover, reserving your time slot for the Uffizi is more of a hassle with the card as without, as for the latter it can be done online.

By far best investment you can make. For approx. 75 Euros, you not only get free museums, but more importantly, you get your own line, which basically means you go right to the front. Many major attractions have 1 hour+ lines. We waited no more than a minute in all of these.

Firenze card used to be worth it! But after Duomo is out of their museum list. It is no longer a great option. Once duomo is back again it is actually a very good card to have but not currently. Go directly to official museum sites to book and do not buy firenze card. You end up spending more money unless you are there for a week and visit many of them on the list.

Firenze Card may have worked ... once. No more. You'll see it online surrounded by loads of "skip the line" hogwash--that seems only possible if you engage yet a FOURTH party, namely some kind of tour guide. The MEGA attractions (Accademia, Uffizi Museum) will not accept it, and even if they did, you are always urged to reserve a timed ticket--annnnnd no online portals accept a Firenze Card, anyway. You'll STILL stand in lines AND deal with annoyed staffers. By the time I learned this on my trip, I was left with ZERO faith it would work at still other points of interest, and I felt that nothing had been made easier for me as a sight-seer. You want to see the Galileo Museum or the church at San Lorenzo? Use the Firenze Card. But DO NOT expect to skip any lines, and DO NOT expect to have gotten a bargain, unless you really plan to cram your trip with Piazzas and Palazzos. You can note their official reply below, which doesn't seem to address the critical point: online portals don't TAKE Firenze Card, so there's zero benefit from having it for those attractions. Total whiff on the reply, guys.

I heard about this in a Rick Steves program on PBS. Tried to buy it 3 times online before we left the USA. Then tried 2 more times after we got to Europe kept getting error messages!! Then we spent one whole day looking for the sales offices. None of them were open. Tried again online in Florence, finally got a page that said Thanks For Your Purchase. Never got a voucher number, so couldn’t download the cards to my phone. I contacted them and they said they had no record of my purchase. And that they had no control of the hours of the sales offices. Do not try to purchase this card. It is a scam. We wasted two days on this.

We can highly recommend the Firenze card as we visited 10 museums within 3 days. How it works: You go to the museum's ticket office as usual. Don’t worry about lines since you receive priority access in most museums, just ask an employee nearby. You present your Firenze card, receive a paper ticket and present it at the museum's actual entrance. The process is the same for every museum. For Accademia and the Palazzo Vecchio Bell Tower you need to reserve a timeslot at the ticket office in advance. Even though all timeslots for the Bell Tower were sold out on that day, we still got our slot thanks to the Firenze card. We actually saved more than 20 Euros using the card.

Don’t get this pass! Just go on your own or use different provider that actually included Duomo!!! Not worth unless you’re going to go to at least 5 of the museums allowed with the pass. Nothing is updated on websites about what it covers! Lots of misinformation.

Worth it if you like all the things it allows to do. My wife loved it, I didn't like Florence, so for me not worth it.

The Firenzecard is a great way to visit many of the most important museums and attractions in Florence. In some places, it enables you to skip to a shorter line and enter with less time waiting. At some places, you still have to collect a paper ticket, but it’s usually quick and simple. The app is a really convenient way to check in and show your Firenzecard. You can also find a lot of helpful information about visiting times and the like. There’s an option to extend the Firenzecard for another 48 hours after your first 72 hours has expired. The clock starts when you enter your first Museum. It’s one of the best museum package tickets I’ve used. I purchased the Firenzecard+ for transportation and never used it. It might be useful others, but I found Florence to be a very pleasant and walkable city.

The next available Dome entry was scheduled for Monday, but we were leaving on Sunday. Thanks Firenze Card for informing me that I might not be able to visit some of the museums when I payed the card... (today is Thursday, just to make an ideea). Beware! The card might be useless in some cases. If you're not going to plan alot in advance and visit most of the museums, the card might not be for you. We skipped some waiting queues with it, so it's a good way to speed up things.

Good option Firenze card, i used application: very convenient, no need to search where to pick up the card, easy selection of museums, no need to be connected to internet to issue the museum entrance ticket. Super easy! However further improvement is needed: not clear in which museum the ticket is allowing to enter and where you need to go to ticket office first. Especially annoying Duomo system: so complicated about nothing: the worst museum in Firenze. Majority of the museums has a clear sign where to go with Firenze card, except very funny announcements in Palazzo Medici-Rickardi, where it was proposing to call somewhere to reserve the ticket, while in ticket office was no issue to enter... Very useful open hours schedule available on Firenze card site, great for churches, though i would recommend to double check it, i had a bad luck with San Lorenzo: for 2 days they didnot follow the official schedule. In summer period the card is really paying off: the entrance cost is ridiculously high to some premises during high season. Overall highly recommend for art lovers!!!

Website is frequently inaccessible from US. Advance reservations from US must be made by phone for uffizi. The cost of the call (including 20 minutes on hold) more than ate up any potential savings.

Do not waste your money. I never leave bad reviews but this one deserves it. Not only is it more expensive but we also had to wait in two different lines and get reservations after we got to the museums. Reserve tickets directly with each museum you plan to visit.

Firenze card saves you money but is mostly messy to use. It works fine more or less for the first 3 days. In only two places it was enough to scan the visit QR code, in all other places we needed to get a ticket and go from one place to another before we were able to start a visit. Extending a card is a mess and we had to go a tourist office for help. The extended card did not work at first, QR code was not accepted. We managed to do all our visits but wasted a lot of time and had to run all over to find the office that could extend it. Bargello closes in the afternoon so we went to the Palazzo Vecchio.

I recommend the card if the ticket price of the places you plan to visit are more expensive in total than the Firenzi card. But, take note that the card has only a 72h validity, so if you need further than that, then the 48h extension by the Restart card is useful and interesting because it is at the moment free of charge. However, i do have a complaint regarding the activation of the Restart card. After the expiration of our 72h Firenzi card, we purchased/obtained online the Restart that extended it for 48h, but were not able to activate it (in the app) and use it for several hours. At the Firenzecard point at Palacio Vecchio we were told that some times the system doesn't work immediatly after expiration , that we would have to wait 30 min. But that was not so, it was possible to activate it only more than 4 or 5 hours later. This meant loosing basically the whole afternoon. This is really annoying and time consuming for someone that is visiting the city for a short and strict time. This is a technical problem that can surely be solved. Until then, information regarding this limitation should be given upfront to clients. So, the 72h Firenzi card is ok, the 48h extension Restart card not so much. Also, beware that in some place you have to book visit hours upfront and others you need to go get an entry ticket anyway at the locations.

I bought 2 passes that you have two download on the first day you plan to use them. When you try to download it just comes up with an error message and the email addresses and phone numbers are either not manned or no one responds. Looks to be a scam so best to avoid.

  • 3/5 Tatiana M. 1 year ago on Google
If you want to visit museum for 72+48 ist Not going, because this options to purchase for 48 hours more is not working online. Only for the next day when you are driving on the train you can get 48 hours more)) I am thinking this is on this program some mistakes. When you go for the help for the service Center nobody help you and speak not good with you, like you are the stupid (it was Palazzo Vecchio), another points don’t know how to make it renovations. And the main office doesn’t erlaub too nobody can say who can help you. + It’s mean when you are travelling for more days you can make it and this is very good to go more for different museum and this is a good price - Minus it’s not service die find solutions for problems and you lose your time.

I was very concerned about reservation and lines. But we never had that problem. We directly went to Orsanmichele Church ticket office and make reservation for Uffizi and Academia about 1 minute and visited the galleries just in time. Also we use QR code for other museums. Just some of them want tickets on paper but it was not a problem because the ticket personel was very helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

When first purchasing the pass, we couldn't download any of the tickets. Email was send and a generic email was sent back that helped in no way. After a while the tickets were able to be downloaded, but more clearer instructions needed to be given (an English option as well would have been nice). The Duomo requires the barcode which was easy to navigate, but the other pass is more tricky to navigate.
