Soul soothing and fulfilling. A feast for the mind and eyes just being in here. I personally prefer visiting churches compared to the Museums or Art galleries - it is usually free of charge, a lot less people and I get to relish their beautiful and unprecedented work of art and architecture. Treasure all around and above - It is best done sitting on one of the long pews and simply look up. There are a staggering collection of beauty and religious significance here. "Do not judge a book by its cover" it is a place that is unassuming on the outside but absolutely phenomenal inside and dominates over the Piazza Mantegna. Here preserves the greatest relic of Christianity: the Sacred Vessels containing the blood of Christ.

stunning cathedral, mast visit. The splendor of architecture and fine arts, this is a real gem of this city. the frescoes are just amazing.

From the outside, it looks like any other cathedral. However, appearances can be deceiving, the inside is gorgeous. The interiors are breathtaking. Even if you're not a religious person, I would recommend you to go and have a peek inside this beautiful church.

Wahnsinnig schöne Kathedrale im Herzen von Mantua. Man kann hier die Geschichte richtig spüren. Sehr interessante Info Tafeln. Sehr gepflegt. Ein Muss wenn man in der Stadt ist!

What an amazing Basilica! It's huge and very, very beautiful inside. The paintings are impressive and the Duomo require a special appreciation moment. Definitely a high note of Mantova.

Free entry, but don't let that fool you. If you want the church to be lightened up for better vision you need to pay. Beautiful, details in painting and sculpture but open up your spiritual eyes and look at all the demonic signs and symbols of the freemasons.

Worth entering for a couple pictures. Free to enter. Says no pictures but not enforced. Located on main square. Inside is rather beautiful and ornate.

Absolut beeindruckende Kirche, wirkt von innen noch gigantischer als von außen! Kostet keinen Eintritt.

Es ist wunderschön die historische Altstadt von Mantua zu besichtigen. Gleich hinter der Piazza della Erbe, an der Piazza Andrea Mantegna erhebt sich die monumentale Basilica di Sant'Andrea. Leider konnte ich nur die Fassade, im Stiel der Renaissance erbaut betrachten, der Zugang wurde gerade verschlossen. Eindrucksvoll sind die Blicke auf das Bauwerk aus Richtung Piazza Leon Battista Alberti.

Absolutely breathtaking place! If there's something in Mantova you shouldn't miss, it's this gorgeous colorful basilica. Especially the paintings are extraordinary! The entry is free, just make sure not to visit during the long lunch break.

The most impressive and magnificent masterpiece of the Renessance architecture. I was especially impressed by 3D interior paintings. The entrance is free of charge.
