On
my
recent
trip
to
Rome,
Italy
I
ran
out
of
one
of
my
prescription
medications.
I
reached
out
to
my
doctor
in
the
states,
but
was
informed
that
because
she
was
not
licensed
in
Italy
I
would
need
to
find
someone
out
there
to
write
the
prescription.
Initially
I
panicked
having
zero
experience
with
that
type
of
situation,
but
if
I
miss
even
one
dose
of
my
medication
the
withdrawal
symptoms
are
awful
and
the
rest
of
my
trip
would
have
been
ruined
so
I
went
online
in
search
of
a
local
doctor.
What
I
found
instead
was
a
website
called
Doctors
in
Italy.
You
answer
a
few
basic
questions
and
once
you
submit
the
answers
it
is
sent
out
to
the
doctors
that
would
best
meet
your
needs.
Then
links
with
their
information
is
forwarded
to
you
via
WhatsApp
and
you
simply
choose
the
doctor
you
want.
I
was
able
to
quickly
and
easily
book
a
virtual
appointment
with
a
doctor
who
spoke
English
and
within
ten
minutes
I
had
a
prescription
(also
sent
through
WhatsApp)
along
with
a
receipt
to
turn
into
my
insurance
back
in
the
States.
I
had
to
go
to
a
pharmacy
to
get
a
covid
test
anyway
so
while
I
had
that
done
they
filled
my
prescription.
Honestly
it
was
hands
down
one
of
the
easiest
dealings
with
a
doctor
I’ve
ever
had.
I
am
so
happy
that
I
took
a
chance
on
this
platform.
Do
not
hesitate
to
utilize
this
resource
if
you’re
abroad
and
you
need
a
medical
professional.
