I actually had no intention of purchasing jewellery during my stay in Florence, but when I passed by the window of this store my eyes immediately caught sight of a beautiful platinum & diamond ring. The staff were closing up, I just had time to try on the ring and take a photo, while I thought about it until the shop reopened. I was there as soon as the store was open again. The whole experience could not have been better. Roberto was very pleasant, informative, helpful, and clearly genuinely passionate about jewellery design and history. He took the time to go through the history of the ring and the style of the stones etc. He offered free ring resizing within the hour. I was reassured by the detailed written certificate, he even tested the diamonds in front of me as he knew I was a cautious customer. He offered for me to view through jeweller’s loop. I now have the most beautiful reminder of Florence, and in particular, the Ponte Vecchio. Highly recommend this store! Exceptional level of service and extremely good value. I hope to return one day.

If I could give a 0 for the review I would. I visited Florence this year and my partner purchased a ring from this jeweller for my engagement ring. The service was fine. However, 3 months after purchasing the ring, the stone fell out of the setting. Luckily I was driving and the stone fell on my lap. To my horror I found that the stone had been glued in and not set in the ring itself! I called from Australia only to be met with a guy who was so horribly rude to me to the point he was yelling abuse at me for saying that the ring was glued in. He hung up on me. I went to a jeweller here who advised that the ring had been glued in and had not been set in the ring properly. A cheap job to the point it was like a piece of costume jewellery which my partner paid quite a bit of money for. He had to then spend a further $600 to repair and have claws put on the ring to hold the stone. All I can say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They know as a tourist we can't just walk back in and return the jewellery!!!! So disappointing.

I started with this store on the Ponte Vecchio and although I did not end up purchasing from this store, as I found exactly what I was looking for at another store, I had to write a review to praise the store for their excellent advice and customer service which was friendly and helpful. I was able to use their advice to ensure what I purchased was the 18 k gold quality I was looking for and also was able to talk intelligently to the other shops about what their tax rebate would be. This store is the highest I found at 20% which is excellent. I would definitely recommend that you look in this store for a jewelry purchase as they offer gorgeous jewelry and truly excellent customer service whether you buy or not. UPDATE: The jeweler reached out to thank me for my review and it just further justified my positive impression of them, so much so that my husband told me to work with them to design a ring around the pearl I purchased in Florence. After many conversations and design discussions my pearl is on its way back to Italy! I can't wait to post the final outcome.

This is a wonderful jewel of a store at the beginning of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The window display is tastefully done and the staff is professional and courteous. The jewelry is superb and the variety is endless, truly something for everyone. The estate and vintage pieces are gold standard. The best thing about this jewelry store is Mr Vaggi himself, a decent honest helpful individual. I have visited this wonderful store twice and each time Mr Vaggi was great to work with, he worked with me on price, showed selections that were hidden gems and was most pleasant, fair in his price quotes and generous. The silver is fabulous, the watch selection endless, estate and Florentine pieces endless. During this time of pandemic I have wonderful memories of this gem of a store and of its shining star, the owner Mr Vaggi. Do give it a try, you will not be disappointed and will wish you could return and come back. My respect to Mr Vaggi and his wonderful jewelry establishment.

They also have another small shop a bit further down the bridge. That’s where I bought a small jewelry piece as a souvenir from Florence. The service by Lorenzo was fantastic: friendly and prompt. He arranged for a super quick adjustment of the piece because we were leaving Florence the next day. A super nice guy, very knowledgeable about jewelry and sizing and simply a pleasure to deal with. We bought two items from S. Vaggi while on holiday from London - a pair of gold earrings for myself and a gold ring for my daughter. The owner Roberta and her son were so nice, helpful, welcoming, and patient. As we aren't part of the EU, they also filled out the tax return papers for us to hand in at the airport. The quality of the jewellery is very good, and they only sell 18K gold. There is also a very large selection of jewellery, and the prices are very good, especially being in such a popular area. I would highly recommend S. Vaggi and we will have long memories of our lovely jewellery purchases on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence.

The staff were friendly and patient in helping me find what I was looking for. I would recommend you come with a picture of what you want because they can pull out pieces from the vault that might interest you. One of the only shops on Ponte Vecchio that sells different jewelry - a lot of the shops on the bridge are selling the same designs. Definitely recommended.

I have visited this store many, many times over the last 30 years. Every time we travel to Italy we make a stop into Vaggi’s. I have made some beautiful purchases there. My wife’s most precious pieces are all from Vaggi. I have worked with the owner, the owners late father and many of the other employees. All my experiences have been memorable and wonderful. They are a class act. Exquisite jewelry, honest, and very fair prices. We love to walk the Ponte Vecchio and window shop...but would never, ever buy from anyone other than Vaggi.

I didn't end up buying the Zenith Chronomaster Shadow I tried on, but they were a pleasure to deal with and talk to about the watch, movement, and industry in general.

My wife and I visited this store last when looking for a gold necklace and florentine coin to go with the necklace. After much looking and trying on my wife made her decision. The staff were so friendly and patient. Made the buying a really nice experience and prices were spot on. But wait there’s more. After buying my wife decided later in the day she wanted to change the florentine coin to a gold coin and the chain to a slightly longer version. Again no problem no fuss just great service. Cheers. On my holiday to Florence with my boys looking for vintage and antique jewelry and I find this store has the most gorgeous inventory. When I walked in I was greeted and attended to by the most friendly and accommodating lady. She even let me use their phone to call my bank when there was an issue with payment and for unknown reason my home carrier not working. I certainly recommend this store if you are looking for vintage or antique jewelry. Excellent service.
