I cannot emphasize what a disappointment this place is...I am a tour director and brought a group here previously where they were enthusiastically greeted. However I came on my own in May specifically to make an important purchase for myself. I found a bracelet to my liking, very standard Florentian design that needed a minor modification. The designer Maria Pappas assured me this was easily done and would be accomplished in “ a couple of weeks”. Nine weeks later, after repeated entreaties to the store and designer I am told the “ jeweler did not have the time to make the bracelet”. I am now awaiting my refund, and have informed our major tour operator to take this vendor OFF their visit list, there are other wonderful jewelers in Florence and we will feature them in the future. This purchase was made as a gift for my birthday by my family and was expensive, and I cannot express my dissatisfaction more forcefully. Avoid GOLD MARKET at all costs, they use a friendly sales pitch but fail to deliver...

There are shops there selling gold inside Florence. It’s a lovely place that will meet your needs. It’s kind of far but a walkable distance from the last tram station - santa di Maria-

My wife and I purchased wedding bands here and they are stunning pieces of Etruscan art. They treat the uninformed (us, American) with the same respect as all others- they weight the piece, show that it's 18k (750) and their prices are very fair. They also took the time to explain the process and provide the paperwork needed for customs. We had a great experience buying wearable art that is also comfortable for everyday and created a wonderful memory in the process.

I purchased a chain and bracelet here while in Florence. Once I received my items through the mail, the chain broke down and separated into 2 pieces. I reached out the the shop and shipped it back to be fixed. Once I received it after it was “fixed”, the chain seemed to be only polished, no links were actually fixed. I reached out the the shop again after this and it’s been weeks without a reply. For the amount of money myself and my family has spent at the Gold Market Florence, I would expect more.

I was in search of 18K gold earrings for my birthday. I really wanted to purchase them on the Ponte Vecchio but could only find what I was looking for in 9K (I visited every shop). I also didn’t like that a majority of the shops didn’t have an online presence or reviews. After doing independent research, I decided to visit The Gold Market. Within two minutes of walking in, I found what I was looking for — additionally, it was priced substantially less than the shops on the Ponte Vecchio (I paid the same price here for 18K earrings that I would have paid there for 9K earrings). The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and very passionate about their work. I will definitely return again!

Visited October 2017. Bought a bracelet from their diamond cut collection and it hasn't been off my wrist since - absolutely beautiful, unique and fabulous quality. Was very happy to be given an excellent deal by a fellow Aussie, the manager Maria. My brother is off to Italy this evening and I have given him and his wife your details!

Maria is a very nice person. She has got great staffs. Even though she gives me lesser discount than my sister’s. I am still going back there tomorrow to disturb her and her staffs.

A must see bridge in Florence, Italy. Near the incredible museums. Nothing like this gold market I’ve seen globally.

I visited this store in September 2022 on my visit to Italy and the staff in there were incredible and very helpful. I would be very fussy with jewellery in general. I bought a beautiful 18k gold side cross necklace and from start to finish I was treated very well in there. Would definitely buy from this store again.

What an experience! I made a spontaneous trip to Florence last summer to buy a new gold chain. The shop was closed, but Maria was kind enough to open it for me. I felt a lot more comfortable shopping at the Gold Market compared to ponte vecchio, as the price was based on thr weight of Gold rather than a pre populated potentially overpriced tag.

My review is a little bit overdue, to say the least. 20 years ago, after recovering from breast cancer treatment, I decided to make an impromptu trip to Italy and fulfill a lifetime dream. I was on a tour, but not on the tour when I happened into this shop, whose name I had forgotten after all these years, until I recently found the receipt for the beautiful bracelet I purchased. I bought nothing else in Italy, except for this bracelet because funds were a consideration. I have worn this bracelet every single day for 20 years. I never take it off. I only hope that if I am lucky enough to return to that beautiful city that the quality and service will be exactly the same as it was all those years ago.

The Gold Market is a beautiful shop with a great selection and very helpful staff. I ended up having some problems with a piece of jewelry after my return home to the US. Reached out to the store and they fully resolved the problem. Very professional! Will definitely return during my next visit to Florence.

I had a fantastic experience here, very friendly staff and very reasonable prices. They have tons of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and more starting at 18 karats. If you'd like a souvenir that will last from Florence, I highly recommend paying a visit.
