Honestly it’s a pretty studio but in my opinion it is not about yoga and more about fitness and how western society interprets yoga! If you are looking for a yoga studio with teachers that treat you with compassion and who genuinely care about the philosophy of yoga and about their students it is not the right place! I don’t think it is an inclusive space which pays attention to the needs of the individuals and especially of people that are not too familiar with the positions of yoga. I had the feeling that they wanted to push you to your physical limits rather than your needs. I honestly don’t understand why it is such a high rated studio! Especially the teaching was more like a repeating fitness class than a yoga lesson and teachers weren’t as nice!

Amazing yoga studio. I stayed in Florence for 3 months and almost chose another studio and I’m so grateful I didn’t. The classes are both challenging and refreshing. Taught in both Italian and English. All the teachers are wonderful and my favorites are Tess, Francesca, and Bernardo. I highly recommend a visit as the prices are very reasonable as well.

This is the most wonderful yoga studio. I am in Florence for one month and I have been attending class everyday. The teachers are excellent and very friendly. The yoga is challenging but exactly what I needed. They also teach the class in English and Italian, which has been a lovely opportunity to learn a few more words! I’ve also loved meeting a gorgeous Chihuahua who frequents the studio! 🥰 I couldn’t recommend this highly enough.

Amazing practice, space and instruction! Core vinyasa in a special space. Welcoming, easy to join and focus on form and breath. I'm loving the practice here! Recommended for all! Grazie Francesca & Guido and crew!

This was a rare find in Florence. I live in Toronto and was staying in Florence for a week craving some movement. Signed up for 3 classes here and my god. This is challenging yoga so if you are beginner, don’t go in thinking you will be handheld. If you are a yoga person, you will enjoy the challenge and love the movement. Anyone with a bad review is someone who probably is very beginner. I’m a yoga teacher myself and still found it challenging.. but hey! If you don’t try the harder classes you won’t be inspired to improve.

This is hands down the best yoga studio I have ever gotten a membership at. Not only do they speak in English and Italian, but the ambience within the studio is immaculate. It is very clean and there are mats to rent that go along with a membership or a regular drop in. I have only had a membership there for one month and I have never been this flexible. The instructors are amazing and they are always there to help you and push you.

An excellent Yoga studio to advance your practice. The instructors are very helpful with inversions and back bends.

Amazing teachers who offer a strong practice with intelligent sequencing. Cater to advanced and beginners, and as someone who seeks bettering inversions, the teachers are hands-on and elevated my practice. Highly recommend this studio. It’s also stunning!

Lying down and looking through the glass roof, you can see the top of another old building. Very peaceful but Florentine feeling. Powerful class, I enjoyed it very much.

The studio is lovely with the glass ceilings, so in savasana you get a great view of the beautiful sky. I took classes with three different teachers (Tess, Francesca and Novella) and all three were hands on and helpful. I had the friendliest interactions with Tess and Francesca, they had great attitudes. The studio owner quickly responded to my email when I first signed up to answer my question. The pace of the teaching was appropriate for me at my level. Heads up for beginners: the teachers do not verbally break down the poses into detailed steps when teaching . So if you are a first timer you will find the classes challenging. Classes were taught in English and Italian.

Best studio in town, the space is beautiful and the practice is both mindful and athletic. Highly recommended!

I spent the month in Florence with my family and bought a membership. Absolutely wonderful studio and teachers, greatly improved my Italian and my inversion practices . I loved it!

I would not go back. First, I quickly want to touch on language - I have family in Florence but my Italian is very basic so I relied on English cues. They were hard to distinguish from the Italian flow of speaking and very minimal, I would say ok to follow if you really really concentrate. Repititions (like a sequence on the left and right)were only in Italian, so you sort of had to remember yourself. The class itself felt more like a workout to me. I am a certified yoga teacher and the way I learned sequencing this class missed a lot. Positions were strength intensive (to a point it gets frustrating) and definitely not beginner friendly (like a 5 min headstand and many wheel poses without proper back warmup) - the problem I see is that people attempt to hold positions (like the headstand) but they don't know how to do them correctly or get into the asana. so you see lots of "incorrect" muscle use which is strenuous on the body and increases the risk of injury tremendously. If you are looking for a workout this might be a good fit. I was looking for a yoga class that would be dynamic but also grounding and it did not meet that in my opinion. I would not go back! I also have to add that the teacher was really unfriendly from the start (greeting, filling out forms,...) which is also something I would expect otherwise.

Great practice with knowledgeable, caring instructors; the bomb of a location. Front room has glass ceilings for light. Loved it!

For me and my practice, this is the best vinyasa studio in Florence. Yes they push you, yes you sweat, yes you progress, and you get to relax at the end. Every class has a classical vinyasa "planning" (pranayama, sun salutations, flow, inversion...) but each of the teacher brings his/her specific style. Also they propose workshops that make you learn so much. Every time I walked out of the studio I felt high, strong, and proud. Oh and oftenly there's a tiny cute dog to pet before and after class 😍

Great place, worth visiting before dinner. Was more physically challenging than any I've done in the US. Was 15 euro to drop in. I needed to install the "mind body" app on my phone to see their schedule and book.

Affordable, long yoga lessons in Firenze. Sweet staff. Can get a bit crowded due to the price and location.

Amazing studio! Adapted for every practitioner, as much for a beginner than a yogi serious about their practice

Fabulous studio. Spoke English very well. Take your own towel or 2 € as they don’t give them out. Love love love this place

Excellent yoga studio. Novella teaches a sweaty challenging style of yoga and at the same time manages to create a warm mindful atmosphere. This studio is already my favourite studio during my stays in florence. Thank you yoga garage.

In Florence for 4 days, it was raining today so I looked at reviews for local yoga class and found Yoga Garage only 6 mins away from our air B and B . Guido’s class was fun and challenging in such a beautiful room. I’ve booked again for Tess’s class on Saturday even if the sun is out! Would def recommend this yoga studio, they provide mats and you’ll feel better for going after over indulging with all the wonderful Italian food. 👍

Lovely and fun community to practice vinyasa yoga. I highly recommend taking a class with these great teachers - besides really nice sequenced classes they provide amazing assists if you attend in person.

For sure best yoga in Firenze. Great style of vinjasa yoga, amazing teachers. Challenging (in a positive way) style of yoga leaning on traditional styles like ashtanga. Very good assists from teachers and good for all levels.

Staff is so friendly and welcoming especially for those who don’t speak Italian. I’ve taken two vinyasa classes which were bilingually taught and at a great price. Throughout the class they help you in your poses and making the adjustments needed to get the most out of your practice. I definitely recommend taking a class if you have an hour to spare in Florence and the location is so central!

Lovely space to practise, Guido and Tess have done an amazing job building the Yoga Garage community. You have to take a class when you're in Florence. If you're not in Florence, no excuses because you can also take their fantastic classes online! see you again soon!

From the perspective of a a yoga teacher from across the ocean; this place is simply masterful. I wish my Italian was better; but even as an english only speaker her class was easy to follow and paced well. The classes are friendly, and the vinyasa flow taught by Novella is nothing short of amazing. The class is advanced level for sure, however she provides alternatives and modifications. 🙌 Bravo

I took several classes at Yoga Garage when I was visiting Florence in April 2023. It is such a gift to travelers. The women who own the studio are kind, competent, and provide a beautiful space for yoga practitioners of all levels and nationalities. We took a mixed Italian/English class and it was perfectly easy to follow along. I speak a bit of Italian but even if I didn't it would have been accessible, as the teachers structure the class to allow native speakers to sit upfront so that other can follow along with their movement. The class was relaxing, challenging, and peaceful. If you are visiting the area I highly recommend taking a class (or ten) at this beautiful studio :)

I have been practicing yoga for many years and I can definitely say that it is an awesome yoga studio! Every teacher is extremely knowledgeable and good. All levels can take the classes; they teach the class in a way that you can take your yoga practice to the level that you want. Finally we have an amazing yoga studio in Lucca!

😠 Very bad experience. p.s. If the owner does not accept my point of view it means that she is not a centered person and that she is not capable of managing a holistic center and does not know how to work for the public. Arrogant and rude!
