All the important sculptures in a combined place. It seems these are all remake, the actual sculptures are in museums. But it is very hard to think that such great works of art are simply hidden through out Florence. The meaning of renaissance comes to life in the streets of Florence, unimaginable.

A public open space in the Piazza Della Signoria and opposite the Palazzo Vecchio. Some stunning statues, of mythical characters, Achilles, Perseus holding Medusas head and Hercules plus other brilliant pieces. Worth taking a look as it’s a freebie.

Ok, this is great. This is a public display of great masterpieces of sculpture and its free. Are you kidding me? Free!!! The loggia, that is the gothic baldachin held up by four columns is cool enough, but the priceless works of art beneath it is just too much. Its an open air museum and its free!!!!

If you are a history fanatic with a love for sculptures, there could not be a better place to visit than the Loggia del Lanzi open art gallery in Florence. Masterpieces of the gone era including works by Cellini and Giambologna find their home here.

The building was built in the second half of the 14th century. The loggia was used to host public meetings and official ceremonies of the Florentine Republic in which anyone could participate. It is built in the Gothic style with arches, which are already part of the Renaissance style.

This is a very lovely place to visit with lots of amazing statues to see, Donatello’s lion is here and some of the most iconic statue of Perseus killing medusa is here. I really enjoy talking a walk here, there’s plenty to do and see in and around the area. I would definitely recommend visiting this place and checking out these amazing statues and monuments.

Stupendo!!! It is absolutely breathtaking to see some of the works of the masters out in the open for the public to marvel at. Works by Cellini, Giambologna, Ludovico Salvetti, Stefano Ricci, Pio Fedi to name a few. I recommend visiting twice, first at daytime to appreciate the details and then at night to admire how the light strikes the sculptures.

Taking art for the people to the top level. Amazing that this exists, an open gallery with many of the finest renaissance sculptures that can be seen in the open from the main square in front.

Access into this landmark of Florence is free, and almost unrestricted. A loggia housing several sculptures depicting mythological or historical characters or scenes. Great place to relax and enjoy art and people... Our comfortable and serene modern life has countless roots in Florence, a crucible of arts and knowledge. Viewing and understanding the past helps to leap into the future.

Honestly, if you can’t afford to enter Uffizi gallery or don’t have the time on your short trip to Florence, definitely come and check out the replicas of the statues over here. Lots of space to sit, so bring a sketchbook if you like to draw, this is a good spot to spend time for free.

Perseus with the Head of Medusa, 1554 by Benvenuto Cellini It is considered one of the masterpieces of Italian Renaissance art. It is made of bronze and stands over five meters tall, including its base. This stunning work of art captures the power and drama of Greek mythology and remains a beloved masterpiece to this day.

This little gem is a real art lovers treat conveniently tucked away right in central Florence. It’s easy to ignore it with all the museums & monuments scattered around the city but this little, free outdoor museum ended up being one of our favorite stops in Florence. This place is quite underrated! Although it’s free and located at a prime location, barely anyone seemed to be interested in it. It’s definitely worth the 5 minutes it takes to wander around and enjoy the Roman art.
