The frescoes are being restored and there is scaffolding everywhere. I wouldn’t recommend visiting the Cappella before the works are finished. Right now it’s an absolute waste of money. You still have to pay the full amount (which already is way too high compared to other sights) and the staff (extremely rude btw) won’t inform you about the scaffolding…

The chapel houses some of the most important frescoes in art history, with a fundamental connection to the Renaissance. The chapel is currently undergoing some preemptive restoration works and requires prior reservation, but the scaffolds themselves provide a unique point of vantage at the same level as the frescoes, which probably was the perspective of the painters themselves. Word of caution though- the collection itself, while quite important historically, is quite small, with a relatively high price tag for entrance, and might therefore not be a priority when pressed for time.

A very beautiful and breathtaking square I was just fascinated by the side of the building. You can kind of get lost looking by the story you see inlaid into the bricks.

First I wanna say that we are very accommodating and lenient people. We never leave bad grades to the places we visit but this was just a little bit too much. The entrance fee is high, even for students like us with a discount tarif (7€), compared to the other museums in Florence and considering the too few amount of artworks displayed. The place is under renovation, and even if it’s nice to see the works in closer perspective thanks to the scaffolding, the staff of the museum doesn’t explain a thing about the work they’re doing. Disappointing, especially for such a place.

Fresco cycle is under restoration and you must climb scaffolding to view the work but honestly in a way a treat as it's the closest, most clear way to see each level of the work. I look forward to coming back in the future once scaffolding is out of the way to see the altar piece and the whole cycle together as a whole.

Beautiful small chapel with the most amazing frescos depicting Bible scenes and also from the life of St Peter. At the moment there is a restoration going on and scaffolding is up. This allows you to go up and see the paintings very close up and on the same level. You have to buy a ticket to enter because they only take in a few people at a time due to the small space available. Outside the chapel is a very calming cloister to sit and rest. The staff are very helpful and speak English if needed.

Disappointed Vs. the cost. We could only spend 5mn per paintings ( only 2 to see ). Of course the paintings were beautiful but the rest of the experience was not up to the cost. Not possible to see the chapel. The "guide" was not keen to do their job and not nice (even though I understand Italian), only there to take their 10€ per person (of course cards did not work, only cash!). In comparison with the Galleria degli Uffizi (12€/person), way too overpriced.

10 euros for 3 minute visit. Not worth it at all. Sorry. Such a disappointment. The place is nice, but worth 3 euros max.

Had a detailed video intro in Italian with English subtitles before entering to see the chapel itself. Very cool to be able to see the Chapel wall paintings so up close because of the scaffolding, and get to see it for about 10 minutes on each of the two levels. Unfortunately not being very artistic, I don't think I appreciated it as much as I should have, But I'm still glad I came. Definitely must get tickets many weeks, maybe a couple of months, in advance if you want to see it

The magnificent artwork was offset by the miserable attitude of the staff. Irritable, dismissive and unhelpful hence the two stars. One would think after their 3-day holiday that at opening time they could at least make the effort to be pleasant. Nonetheless this chapel is a must see.

Stunning frescoes. The staff wasn’t however able to respond to basic questions such as the name of the painters. They should employ more expert staff.

A rather small part of the church is exposed for viewing. But still with it. The frescos are breath taking

Under renovations but great opportunity to get up close and personal with the frescos

It’s really unclear on the Firenze card that you need to book a slot in advance - it was the last thing we wanted to do in Florence and we were denied entry. Next available slot is more than 3 weeks away. Wouldn’t recommend

I did enjoy the magnificent fresco even with scaffolding. But the female guided us to see the fresco is very rude. They time you and you HAVET TO go with THE group. when you come to first floor, you are not allowed to go upstairs to revisit the fresco again. She said she had to be responsible for our safety. Surely it’s better to give everyone a safety helmet to start with??!!

Quite disappointed by the experience. Price is excessive (15 minutes for the 2 mural paintings), and no visit of the chapel in itself. Hosts were not welcoming. I would not recommend spending time there, with so many other nice places to see in Firenze (and for the same price... Galleria degli uffizi :12 euros)

Walked right by three times before someone told us to go in. Beautiful hidden gem. Nothing to look at from the outside, but fantastic inside.

Didn’t know it requires reservation in advance.

An extraordinary experience: guided visit to live the frescoes like a movie!

Glorious church in a bohemian vibe area. Would totally recommend going earlier then having some drinks around.
