Someone told me that this place is a landmark and I must visit. I'm not a fan of perfume stores, but this time I'm glad I went. What a beautiful store! It's big with a few rooms, and the staff is super professional and helpful. They will explain about all the products and help you find what you need in a nice and friendly way. Even though the store is full of perfumes and soaps, the air feels clean and not stuffed like in most stores, which makes the visit a lot more pleasant. It's a beautiful store, and it's rightfully a landmark in a city like Florence. Don't miss.

Super nice to visit. There is an art installation to see which is nice, but the main attraction is all the perfumes. Beautiful scents and lots of fun smelling all the different options. Definitely worth a visit. The architecture is also beautiful. The perfumes are expensive but worth visiting for the experience.

Like others have said, this is a must-see stop for all visitors in Florence. Beautiful entryway, perfect for your new profile pic. Each room is elegant and charming, with so many awe-inspiring touches. There is a 600-year old wall-wall mural in one of the rooms, a beautiful courtyard you can view, the ceilings are phenomenal, and there are many delightful items you can purchase, from chocolate liquor and perfumes, to honey and room scents. This was a memorable visit!

One cannot say enough wonderful things about this shrine to perfume. The building itself is an architectural beauty and the inside is very ornately and delicately decorated - colors, carvings, statues, and frescoes. The one thing that struck me when we entered was not being overwhelmed by a smell of perfume, very different than in the United States. For as beautiful as the place is, the staff are extremely professional and helpful, greeting customers in turn, assisting where they can, and guiding your purchase. You can purchase soaps, creams, and perfume. Everything can be scent sampled and it is truly interesting. Many different rooms with a focus on different products. It is almost a museum as well with a couple of the rooms having historical items from over the years of operation. Even if you don't like perfumes, or scented soaps, it is worth a visit to just look around.

Must-see (rather: must-smell) for girlish holiday! Take care not to miss the door, the building itself is not outstanding, but when you enter the doors you fell into a floral wonderland. And on top of that, for even free!

The oldest pharmacy in Europe. The pharmacy sells soaps, liqueurs, cosmetics, herbal and perfumes. The products are expensive. The building is more than a pharmacy it is a museum showing the history of the pharmacy. A beautiful building which has been decorated beautifully and contains a number of frescoes. Well worth a visit to see the decorations.

Very expensive, but very helpful, if pushy staff. Worth the visit, amd worth the price, IMO, but be prepared for some pretty brutal sticker shock. Be willing to take your time, go in with a budget, and have a firm idea of the scent you are looking for from the beginning. However, from a purely experience standpoint, this is one of the oldest, coolest places in all of Firenze, and great places for you to shop for luxury scents for, or with, a loved one. I went with the Tuscan tobacco scent, and got the beard wax, the cologne, and the lotion. And they cost more than my phone.

Required stop for all visitors to Florence. Beautiful and historic perfume (and more) shop in the heart of old Florence. This perfume operation dates back to 1612 and is in its original location with beautiful frescoes still visible throughout. it has become a modern multinational business but this is its original office and shop and there are many interesting fragrances, lotions, soaps, and a myriad of other interesting products to check out.

Whether you are arriving or departing Florence, this pit stop by the train station is worth the visit. The actual pharmacy is hundreds of years old and is so opulent I had trouble believing that this was a living shop and not a historical monument. The pharmacy is divided into two parts — the museum and the sales shop. The museum has interesting relics and the sales area has loads of wonderful perfumes and fragrances.

Even though it’s a cosmetics store, this place is well worth the visit. We were greeted by entrance receptionists which gave plastic bags for umbrellas, the place is beautiful inside and smell wonders. Very elegant store and staff, with products for all tastes and likes. They do not come cheap but smelled incredible some of them. You see flowers everywhere and there was even a exhibition in a separate room.

Well worth the visit as this store is a piece of history in itself! 💖 There was a small queue when i came here around 5pm but the line passed fast. The place in itself is like a mini-museum 💖 there was even a mini immersion experience in one wing of the shop. The sales ladies were very helpful. They give good recommendations and are very efficient. The tax refund process in the cashier was streamlined and done fast (as opposed to some stores that take forever to do it) It's definitely a wonderful visit, for perfume afficionados or not. It's also very near the station (about 5-7 minutes by foot). Definitely recommend it if you're in Florence

This was cute! The decorations are gorgeous, smelling all the perfumes and products was nice. They even had an immersive flower experience, one of those art projections where flowers are all over the walls and floor in a separate room. A cute experience even if you don’t end up buying anything!

I saw this place by chance on TikTok - it’s an absolute must visit! The whole place looks gorgeous, and it’s the oldest working apothecary in Europe. The entrance hallway is decorated with flowers, the ambiance is old and seems gorgeous - they make perfumes, soaps, other hygiene products, face crème’s, etc. Expect the perfumes to be a little more expensive than the mainstream perfumes, but considering the place and that they are their own custom perfumes, it’s not expensive at all. The soaps are also amazing. We plan to visit this place again, highly recommended :)

Of all the stores of Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, this one is my favorite hands down! Love the way everything is displayed and more than anything the courtesy and knowledge of the personnel at this location. Have been shopping at Officina since I was a child - it is a family tradition. However, what distinguishes this store from all the others is the whole shopping experience guided by people that truly know each product and passionately help their patrons. One detail that made the difference is they suggested to use the Tax Free form so I saved 22% on my purchases! My go to place every time I am in Rome!

As one of the oldest historical perfumery stores in Europe, Officina Profumo was as if I walked back in time to 1612. Each room of the store was designed beautifully with intricate designs and art. There is a wide variety of perfumes, as well as other scented items such as candles and soaps. It is a little expensive but a great item to take home or give as a gift.

Wow! What an experience this was! From the windows, the entrance, the amazing old building to the amazing perfumes, all its an experience. Buying a perfume that was first produced in 1221 is truly unique. The staff is really professional, they have different stations where you can sample the perfumes, the creams, and more. There is also a museum, really interesting. They also had an art exhibit, a truly unique digital art show. If you can, just go. It's not something that you find anywhere.

Nice visit! The oldest pharmacy in Florence converted into a palace-museum-shop. You can visit it for free and if your pocket allows it, buy perfumes, colognes, soaps, ointments, and traditional remedies. Beautiful cloister with garden. Cafe - nice restaurant. Reproductions of frescoes and statues...a wonder a few meters from Santa María Novella and the Station

Spacious perfumery with rich history. It’s like walking into a 18th century royal villa. We enjoyed every bit of the interiors. The salespeople were quite pushy and would pay attention to you at every corner. It made me a bit uncomfortable, but I can understand them. In the end, I bought a few bottles of rosewater (original creation in 1200s) and a big room reed diffuser. It’s been 3 months and the diffuser hasn’t reached 1/3 of the bottle yet.

Beautiful location and incredible unique scents. I ended up getting Eva which is a very herbaceous scent like nothing I’ve smelled before. You can really sense the history in the fragrances which started by monks 400 years ago.

Stunning perfume/beauty brand flagship store. The decor and display are so elegant and the product & package is beautiful. Perfect for gift options.

Wow! This was one of my favorite stops in Florence. They had such great lotions and perfumes! I like the idea that they gave me a shopping card and I could just add whatever I wanted to that card and pay and collect my things at the end.

Free entrance, very beautiful collection, and store. You can try a lot of different perfumes and soaps, all the store smelled SO good. When I was there, I could visit a sensorial experience in a room full of flowers and music as well.

When you visit Florence, don't miss going to the first pharmacy, which makes perfumes, creams, home fragrances. Musial place of the first perfume-making monks. Unique perfumes

Without a doubt the most beautiful and opulent perfume shop (if you can call it that because it is much more) I jave ever seen. The products are fantastic, but expensive. The staff really helpful and friendly
