👍 The tour was fantastic.  We learned a lot about the history of the city.  Alessandro was a great guide.  Passionate about the history of Florence and manages to convey his passion to tourists.  We don't give 5 stars just because we think the "free tour" advertising misleads customers.  We were immed... People often mention tour, Florence, guide, city, great, history, Armando, recommend, walking, tips,

The tour was fantastic.  We learned a lot about the history of the city.  Alessandro was a great guide.  Passionate about the history of Florence and manages to convey his passion to tourists.  We don't give 5 stars just because we think the "free tour" advertising misleads customers.  We were immediately informed at the beginning of the tour that it was expected to pay a final compensation.  We were delighted to do so because it was worth it.  But we think they should be more correct and truthful with customers and let them know on the website.  If the guides are like ours, which I believe they are, people willingly pay for the visit even if they are warned on the booking moment.

I did this tour on my first morning in Florence, and it was a wonderful experience plus a good way to orient around the city. Armando is a great guide - obviously very knowledgeable, but also clearly passionate about what he does. He was able to share, with great humour, a lot of interesting information about the city’s history and culture, as well as tons of tips on what to visit, where to eat etc. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly! We got to see all the main landmarks as well as hear their history, and she had lots of great tips about shopping and eating as well. Did this tour during a weekday and found the city significantly less crowded (easier to navigate and to hear our guide) than it was on a weekend. Highly recommended!

This tour was everything and more! I came across this free tour by mistake, booked it and wasn't sure that I would go. I woke up the next morning, had nothing planned and decided to go. This was the best decision ever! The guide was passionate, informative, knowledgeable and thorough. She started and ended on time! I definitely recommend this tour. I've done many paid tours and you could not pay for a tour like this. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Brilliant walking tour. Recommend you start out your trip to Florence with it. Manuel was an excellent guide. Clever, knowledgeable and funny, he made the 2.5 hour tour fly by. Showed us all the key sights and provided a lot of clear background on the history of the city and the key characters involved in shaping it. He was happy to answer all questions and also provided a great list of food/drink venues, we tried a few of the places recommended and they all great. 100% recommended!

10/10 highly recommend. Where do I begin? Armando is such a delightful, deeply passionate, funny, knowledgeable, entertaining and overall the best tour I have ever done (and I’ve done a few in Europe recently). My advise, do this on your first day because it’s a great way to orientate yourself with the city, if you can. We did this after all our series of museums visits, and still finding more delightful informarion. I hate to learn history and architecture in a very academic way, and Armando was the perfect teacher and host because he gives your very factual but with added flair , and in such a beautiful and interesting way. He is a magnificent story teller. I beg you, this tour is free so please please please be very generous and prepare your tips in cash, it will be worth more than the museum entry you paid for, wayyy! I wish he can be my tour guide for all the cities in Florence. This man deserves a medal because he makes everyone fall in love with Florence even more!!! Grazie Mille Armando, you are one of the gems of Firenze! PS: the place where he took us to show cantucci- buy a truck load because it’s the best in town.

Had a brilliant 3hr+ tour with Armando. Completely changed how we viewed the beautiful city of Florence. Armando’s passion for art and love of the city’s culture and history is unparalleled. We learnt so much and left wanting more! Also gave brilliant food and drink suggestions. Amazing, highly recommend this tour.

Alessandro took us on a wonderful walk through Florence sharing history that was interesting and entertaining! Sharing helpful tips about navigating Florence like a local. I’d highly recommend doing this tour Day 1 🙏 And because he showed us ‘how’ to wish on Fontana Del Porcellino correctly… we will be back 💕🌸🇮🇹💚

Armando was absolutely amazing at showing us the meaning behind the beautiful architecture of Florence and so much more than that- he has so much passion and charisma and has given us a real Italian experience filled with humor, “curiosities” as he called them and true love for his city. Thanks to him our time in Florence is truly memorable.

Armando is the best! We've been to 5 cities in Italy and had a guide in all of them, but Armando was the best guide hands down! He's extremely passionate, has such a charming way of explaining everything, and so very kind. It was a delight walking around the city with him. Armando, if you read this please know - my husband and I love you and still talk about you!

We were treated to a hugely enjoyable tour on our first morning in Florence – it was a great help in orienting ourselves on our first visit to the city. Armando is a wonderful guide and his knowledge and passion for the city, its history, architecture, food and art are really infectious. We got lots of tips for things to do/see/eat/try that we wouldn't have found otherwise. The children loved it too – bravissimo and grazie mille!

Armando was a terrific tour guide Loves his subject - Florence. Gives lots of good tips about sites to visit and, because he's a chef, places to eat. Lots of historical background. Highly recommend!

Nice walking tour with a friendly City of Florence certified guide, Gabriella. She shared tons of facts and useful tips about the city, the food, transportation, history and more. The free walking tour is not 'free'. But nothing really is free in this world. The idea is you pay what you wish at the end of the tour. And with the great tour and guidance from your guide, you will be satisfied to pay what your heart wishes. Some peer pressure will be there as some may pay 20€, some 10€, some 5€, but you are not forced to pay anything at all. However, it is definitely recommend to appreciate the guide. The payment will be per person and everything is explained at the beginning of the tour. You are free to leave if you don't like. Also, you can leave in between after excusing yourself if you have to go somewhere. Overall, a nice tour. Much recommended.

What a great way to get to know Florence! Gabriella was our guide and had an amazing gift for storytelling of the history of the city and sights. She also gave us all sorts of recommendations for food, shopping etc. which was so appreciated. This is a must do! It will be the best, most informative 2 hours of your visit. Thank you Gabriella!

Alessandro was our guide for the English tour, you can tell that he perfectly knows this extraordinary city! He explained us very well about the historical past of Florence and he gave us a few tips, I am not surprise he is from here. Unfortunately I had to rush to get on a train otherwise I would have stay a bit longer as he is always ready to answer your questions. I will definitely recommend the tour! Grazie Alessandro!

I have been attending walking tours since 2015 and Armando's tour could be one of the best. His way of telling the facts about the city, Medici family and gastronomy was so good and facinating that we really excited to learn more about the facts that he mentioned. He showed us Florence from bottom of his heart and we learned so much. Thank you Armando! It was a great pleasure to meet and learn from you.

We had a free Walking Tour with Manuel today and it was great! Apart from tons of information about the history of Florence's historic buildings and renaissance arts he provided us entertaining anecdotes as well as nice "insider" tips on what to visit and where to eat. Thanks, it was a pleasure!

Armando was a great tour guide. We did this 1 Nov 2023 Passionate and knowledgeable about the history and the cuisine of Firenze. We were given the highlights in an easy walking 2 1/2 tour, recommendations and all with an engaging sense of humour and charm. We had been there 3 days already but still learnt about the city and felt the tour just added to what we knew. It’s a great experience and the best way to start your time in Firenze

👍👍 I did a lot of free tours, but this one was absolutely the best. Sylvia is so talented in storytelling that her stories always kept me interested. The tour is also very accessible for colourblind people like me. We also did the evening tour which was very interesting as well but took a bit too long.

😠 The Chianti wine tasting was a complete letdown. The wine was terrible and served way too cold. The food was miserly and not remotely Italian worthy. couscous, really? On top of that, dirty wine glasses and knives added to the disappointment. All this for a whopping 120 euros. Save your money and sk...
