A beautiful church with a history. Friendly English speaking people from many nations gather here for worship and socialising. Not to be missed when you visit (or live in) Florence.

La bohieme here was my first opera, and it completely exceeded any prior thoughts. The singers were so lovely and passionate in each role, the piano player was so craftful, and the overall experience was one I'll always remember. I highly recommend coming and seeing a show, because I was in awe from the moment they started and you'll leave feeling culture's and proud of being apart the experience

Just a really great way to see opera performed. After the mad dash of sight seeing and crowd dodging throughout the day. Make sure to keep an evening free to enjoy the performance at St Marks. No dress code, just great signing in a fabulous setting, tip- book front tow seats to be right in the action.

My Sunday morning routine at 10.30 to join the service at St Mark (Firenze) and meet the international family from around the world.

A very special church in Florence,. These days using the UK for comparison, there are more churches closing and being turned into homes or offices, whilst in Florence there are churches, some empty but still churches, on nearly every street and nonetheless in the 19 century they turned a Palazzo into an Anglican Church! A few years back they made the building look more like a church by commisioning sculptor Jason Arkles to make a statue of St Mark and placed it in a niche on the exterior. Inside the church, it has been mainly Arts and Crafts movement decoration. The Church also organises.cultural events, choir singing and even yoga classes.

This is a delightful English (Anglican) church, in an old Florentine building complete with artworks, with regular services and a choir. It urgently needs funds for repairs and maintenance, evidenced by some water-staining on the vaulted ceiling. It has a number of memorials to British forces who lost their lives in Italy in both World Wars.

I booked to attend the evening performance on impulse but it was a magical experience. Warm and lovely souls organize this performance and the performances have so much emotion and talent. Exceeded my expectations and was one of the highlights of my stay in Florence. I hope I can meet with them again!

So glad to come across the Opera Night at St Mark's church when I visited Florence recently with my family. The programme was all the more meaningful when we found out that the proceeds from the Opera Night go to charities the church supports. The ambience and singers were great and my family had a lovely evening. Please do not leave Florence without attending an opera session at St Mark's. I highly recommend!

Look out for the sculpture on the facade! By the contemporary artist working just a few steps away in his studio de la statua :)

This opera company--quality, warmth, phrasing and tone-- is spot on and further enhanced by intelligent, insightful introductions of the arias. On this night of Friday, September 12, 2014 that electric buzz was within the audience, during the program, the intermission, and after. My wife, who is an opera buff, said, "It was one of our most memorable operatic experiences. A true treat. If the tourists miss hearing this opera company during their stay, they'll miss a vital part of Florence.

The opera performance at St. Mark's was a wonderful, "up close and personal" way to experience Carmen - a unique opportunity to view the emotion of the music and the power of the artist's voice. Our guest was also thrilled to begin her first day in Florence on such a high note! Thank you for keeping live performance alive in the neighborhood.

I wanted my kids to experience an opera in Florence while we are living in Italy. This was the perfect introduction because the performances aren't as long as regular opera and the venue is very intimate so they feel like they are right up by the action. It was perfect for our family (kids: 17, 15, 11) and we highly recommend it. Thanks Franz
