Last Thursday we went on the most wonderful artisan tour guided by Silvia. It was so interesting and very well planned. We visited three different types of artisan jewellers, a leather workshop, a paper marbling artist and florentine mosaic workshop. It was definitely the best tour I was ever on. Silvia was informative but not too pushy and never rushed us. We recommend her 100% and would use her again.

A huge, though belated, thanks to Silvia of Guided Florence for an amazing and unforgettable tour of the city and museums. Her vast knowledge of all things Florentine - both historical and contemporary - inspired us to the point where we are already counting the days until we can return. When you come to Florence, touring with Silvia is an absolute must. Silvia is an encyclopedia of information, so rich in knowledge of history and in passion for Florence and all its beauty. We had the privilege of touring the Uffizi museum with Silvia this time in September 2023. The Uffizi museum can be very overwhelming and also crowded. Silvia moved us through the museum so effortlessly and even brought headsets to ensure we could hear her, which was so appreciated given the museum was loud at times. She also takes times to answer questions and you never feel rushed with her. Beyond the tour, she also takes time to offer recommendations (the gorgeous sunset and views pictured below are from Forte di Belvedere, which was a highlight of our trip and something we would’ve otherwise missed if it weren’t for Silvia!!). I could never visit Florence without seeing Silvia and cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Silvia !! ❤️❤️❤️

We have had numerous tours over the decades in our travels but a Silvia Ponticelli tour falls into that top 5% for us. She brought the city of Florence to life for us. Silvia is smart, interesting, engaging and classy and we were saddened by how quickly our 3-hr. tour seemed to go by. Her husband was right. She is magical and her tour was 5-stars worthy.

Silvia's love of Florence is palpable! My husband and two adult children and I began our stay in the city with a 3-hour walking tour and learned about the history of Florence, its people and the contributions the city has made to Italy and the world. We visited every part of the city and Silvia gave us wonderful suggestions on how to best use our short time in Florence. At the end of the tour, she got us into a charming restaurant that we might have otherwise missed. I had the best time visiting Florence with Silvia Ponticelli. Silvia is a wealth of knowledge about Florence, and I loved learning about the history, culture and art of the city from her. From exploring the Uffizi Gallery to seeing the David of Michelangelo at the Accademia Galleria, I learned so much from Silvia's guided tour and would not have been able to experience these important museums in such a rich way without her. We also visited historical landmarks and churches throughout the city inclusive of the Piazza del Duomo, Ponte Vecchio bridge, Santa Croce, the Basilica of Santo Spirito, Piazzale Michelangelo and many more. Again, I would not have been able to explore the city in such a rich way without her, and I am so thankful to have met Silvia while traveling in Florence. Our tour also included a special trip to one of the best gelato spots in the city, and she gave me numerous recommendations of restaurants, shops and places to visit during my time in Florence without her. I would highly recommend a tour with Silvia Ponticelli if you plan to visit Florence, and I hope to have another guided tour with Silvia in Florence the next time I visit!

My wife and I just had a wonderful tour of the Boboli and Bardini Gardens with Silvia Ponticelli. It is impossible to appreciate the full extent of these beautiful places without the knowledge and detail bestowed by Silvia. It was truly a pleasure traversing the Gardens with her. She is easy to talk to and her pace, patience, and kindness is impeccable. She even took the time to take pictures of my wife and I at opportune places within the Gardens. The Gardens at times overlook the whole city. Silvia went above and beyond in pointing out various edifices and churches on the horizon and provided the histories concerning such. If you are going to Florence, see it with Silvia. It will be all the more memorable.

Silvia is a gem! We had a great time walking Florence with her. She catered to our curiosities and introduced us to all things local (not touristy). Highly recommend this fashionista in her own right. Silvia - well be back!!

Our tour guide Silvia was very knowledgeable and kind. She tailor made our tour so our two teenage boys would be engaged and interested. We asked Silvia to take us through the history of Florence and it’s renowned artists over 2 sessions of 3 hours including visits of The Uffizi museum, the Academia of fine Arts and the Duomo museum. This was clearly the best way to make the most of our time and understand how Florence became this very dense artistic city. Silvia is very knowledgeable both for history and art development as well as on the life and path of the great renaissance artists. Her prices are cheaper than on most touristic websites. We would definitely call Silvia again for our next trip to Florence which offers so much more to discover. Sylvia was the most fabulous guide we have ever had - in or out of Italy! We hadn't been to Florence in over 20 years and wanted a full day reintroduction to the city, his history, its art, etc. She took us on the most efficient, yet expansive tour of the best of the best, as well as hidden treasures in the city. She's been guiding for nearly 25 years and seems to know everything about everything! We learned so much, but did not feel overloaded, or amazingly, extremely exhausted. While I wish we spoke Italian, we don't. Syliva's English is impeccable/easily understood, unlike many of the guides we heard along the way. She is also a delight to be with. We will hire again on our next trip to Florence and could not recommend her more highly!

Sylvia, our guide in Florence, was charming and gave the exact right amount of tour for our tolerance level. We spent two days with her, and we could have spent two more. She gave us excellent recommendations for other museums to see outside of our tour, and to eat beforehand.
