We just finished our walking tour of Florence today and it was absolutely wonderful! Cristina, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable not only about the food but also about the history of the region, the squares, the buildings and the wine. She really catered the tour to our interests (we were lucky enough to have her to ourselves! ) and gave us some additional valuable recommendations for our stay. I also appreciated her insight on pricing of the products we sampled, noting that there are overpriced versions that take advantage of tourists who don’t know any better. As advertised, the food tastings were delicious and numerous so bring your appetites! I highly recommend this tour for any time during your trip but it would be best to do it on your first day. It really gives you a feel for the culture and how to tell the difference between authentic eats versus tourist traps. A great find!

Andrea is awesome! He knows, lives and breathes Florence art history. He just earned his Doctorate in Art History. He's knowledgeable, funny, and a great tour guide. Ask for Andrea and you'll be glad you did.

Highly recommend a tour of the duomo for a special experience climbing the stairs to see the interior from a unique vantage point, and the outside of the dome for a 360 degree view of Florence! Tour guide Bryan was amazing!

Brian was amazing! In such a short time he was able to provide so much history and detail and kept it engaging. You can tell he had so much more to talk about if there was time. He gave great recommendations for other places to see that I wouldn't previously made a priority. I absolutely recommend him as a a tour guide and would book a tour with him again!

This tour was excellent. Guido is friendly and loves to teach. We had access to special places that general admission does not allow. We went near sundown, and the light was beautiful on the dome. You have to climb up to see everything, it is an entirely different tour if you go to the top. This is a must see in Florence.

Did the Duomo tour and climbed to the top of the dome for an amazing view of Florence. Leaving this review with compliments for our tour guide Francesca. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained the history and art theory of the cathedral and artists beautifully. Our tour guide was delightful and knowledgeable. An extremely well educated college graduate art major and expert on the history of Florence, Italy, it made the three hours seem like three minutes. This is the third city where we have done a Fat Tires tour and the quality is consistent. Really appreciate the job Francesca did today! The views and architecture were fantastic.

Guido did an absolutely fantastic job touring us through the Museo and up the Duomo! He was very knowledgeable, sincere, and kept in constant communication with us. We even had private access to one of the rooftop areas that provided a beautiful backdrop for photos. The place was also easy to find, with a storefront. I could not have asked for a better guided experience. My husband and I did several tours during our stay and this one was by far our favorite. I highly recommend Fat Tire Tours for your next Duomo trip!

Excellent way to see the city. Our guide Marzia was great - shared loads of interesting facts and kept our two kids entertained. 5 year old on a tandem and 2 year old on a bike...felt very safe the whole time. Definitely recommend Fat Tire Tours to families.

Wow! We had the BEST time on our bike tour of Florence! Riding the bikes was a perfect way to see the highlights of this beautiful city! Andrea was a superb host! He explained each location with the perfect amount of details. He took the time to answer all of our questions and we never felt rushed. So happy we booked this and had Andrea as our guide!

Brian showed us places that we would not have found on our own, and using bikes allowed us to cover good distances. Cannot speak highly enough about this tour. I’ve been on many Fat Tire tours across Europe, and they are always excellent, but our Florence guide (Guido) was one of the best. Knowledgeable, passionate about his subject, and charming. Would highly recommend.

We took a tour of the Duomo and museum yesterday. Our guide,Helena was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and her English was excellent. She was very patient with those of us who climbed to the top of dome as it was raining heavily which made climbing a bit difficult. We all enjoyed this 3 hour tour and with definitely recommend it

Loved this tour though it was very hot. Much, much better than a walking tour. Would do this early in your visit. Then choose where to go. Guides are very knowledgeable and gave advice on sights and where to eat- which was very accurate. Highly recommend Fat Tire tours. Wow! Wow! Wow! We had a fabulous time on our Florence Food Tour with Fat Tire Tours. The tour office was easy to find and we greatly appreciated the small group tour and beginning on time. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and interesting. I learned far more on this tour about Florence than I did on another tour with another company. We enjoyed everything we ate and drank so much! The espresso and wine tastings were highlights for us. The tour of the Florence market is not to be missed!

Great experience on the night bike tour in Florence. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the history and landmarks, and allowed for ample time to take pictures at various stops. Also, she took lots of questions and spent time with the group after to show them suggestions on a map for where they can visit during their stay.

Expensive, but very fun and informative. The segways are much easier to master than I would have thought. After 5 minutes, you feel like you have almost as much command of your movements as you do walking. A good intro to a new city. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't flinch at spending that kind of money.

Fat Tire Night Tour Florence Italy by Guido was a fabulous introduction to a very complexed Historical City done with Historical Knowledge & Story Telling ability if your in Firenze don’t miss this tour

Very dishonest. Despite their advertisements and promotions stating that their tours are fully refundable if given 24 hours notice, Fat Tire Tours is giving us the run around and refuses to refund our money. We had to cancel well before the 24 hours due to unforeseen circumstances. Update: Yes, I booked my tour through TripAdvisor, but your business chooses to advertise there and accept bookings. It is there that you promote and promise a full refund.

We had a great time on our tour around Florence. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and covered a whole lot of territory around the city in only 3 hours.

Excellent local guide (Andrea)! Really loved the local stories and perspective. They also had kid seat attachments for our 5- and 3-year-olds. The tour was very flat. I’m not a regular rider, and even with the weight of the kids it was a very low-impact tour. Pro-tip: if the website lets you book same-day for an evening ride, plan to be turned away.

Our guide, Benideta (not sure of spelling) was fantastic. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. The tour was very informative and because we were on bikes we got to see many sights in a short amount of time. I think this is the best way to see the city!

We’ve just absolutely loved the tour and our guide Elena. She was perfect and so kind! She explained everything that we’ve asked and gently talked with us in Italian, because we are studying the language. She also knows so much about the history of the city and the art that is so important for who want to learn more about the best thing that Firenze has to offer. The tour was amazing. It is a great alternative if you want to sight see Florence, mark the places you might want to revisit and take beautiful pictures on the way. Nadia was the best. Super friendly, very informative and kept us informed of what to expect on the ride to stay safe and fully enjoy the tour. This was our last day in Firenze and there were many places we saw for the first time. Also, great for the kids (I have an 8 and 10 yr old), you won’t have the complaints of being tired because of the walking ;-). I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Guido was excellent. Sharing his knowledge with passion, making the tour interesting and easy to understand. He was Taking care of the group and showing respect to the sights. Florence Duomo Cathedral museum and rooftop dome is worth visiting. The view from the rooftop dome is just spectacular.

Eleonora from Fat Tire tours led us on a tour of the famous, beautiful Duomo of Florence. The focus was the Museum and climb to the dome, but she was helpful in pointing out many features around the area, including inside the cathedral, the clock tower, and Baptistery. This tour is very worth it. Besides the ahead of line privileges that come with most tours, Eleonora took us to the mid-level of the Duomo that gave us a fantastic view of the city and the dome! The ticket given to us allowed entry into clock tower, cathedral, crypt under the cathedral, and Baptistery. Those we went on our own, which was nice. The climb up both the dome and tower was challenging back to back! Before leaving us, Eleonora recommended a great restaurant that served peposo (a simple beef stew with mashed potatoes) right off the main square, which was terrific.
