Caf Tour & Travel I had a good time, I took the tour last March.Siena San Gimignano - Pisa - Chianti. These are the GPS coordinates for the bus stop of the tour Latitude 43° 46' 50.952" N Longitude 11° 14' 47.688" E use Google maps.

Great trip! It's what I always dreamed visiting a vineyard would be. Tour guides were awesome from the start. The bus was super comfy. We kept to schedule (which was important b/c we had to catch a train afterward). The meeting point was also conveniently located near the train station. My only issue was on the 2nd tasting, we had to walk up a mountain in the dirt to reach the winery. (About 1/2 mile) Inhaling the loose dirt caused me to get extremely sick!

Overall Positive Experience - we went to Sienna and San Gimigiano with a stop for lunch. San Gimigiano was by far the highlight. We wondered around both places and took in the sights and views - stunning. The lunch/wine tasting was simple but nothing spectacular. The meat/cheese plate was good but the pasta was very dull. The winery was more like an industrial park. I would rather have eaten on my own. The worst part was the tour guide who talk to much then repeated it in a second language. The bus trip was nauseating…

Our private tour guide of Florence and Santa Croce, Stefania, was exceptional!!! She is very knowledgeable of local culture and history. We were taken off of the beaten path to see sights off normal tourists trails. If planning trip to Florence, this is a must event!!!! We also had a tour by Renato of the Uffizi Museum in Florence. She was also exceptional in her knowledge of art and artists. She took time to answer questions very thoroughly. If you are fortunate to have her as a guide you will not be disappointed!!!!

The tour was very good until we got to Siena. Our tour guide walked so fast we couldn't keep up. One woman traveling with her husband lagged very far behind because she had a slight limp. Even on the way back people on our tour was complaining. Everything else was good.

We attended the trip to Pisa and Tuscany. The contents of the trip is fine but we bumped into the parade of Corteo Storico at the gathering point. It was crowded and loud and the tour guide left without confirming everyone is with him. We told the agent where we are but the guide didn’t come to find us and when we get to the parking lot the bus had left not even inform us in advance. We had to get back to Firenze by bus eventually.

Despite making reservations almost two months in advance for Academia Galleria due to high demand, we faced a frustrating experience. We did not find availability on the museum website, everything sold out for the date of the trip, for this reason we booked with Get your Guide website, which we had used on other occasions and without any problem. The visit was scheduled for 9.30 am, due to an unforeseen health event we arrived at 9.28 am. We went to the meeting point described in the reservation confirmation, but not seeing anyone with the Car tour logo we asked the employee who was in charge of organizing the line if we could enter the museum by showing the QR, she kindly explained to us that we needed to validate our tickets, it was already 9.35am. We called the number we saw in the reservation and the employee gave us the description of the person who was in charge of validating the tickets, who never showed up. We called again and she told us to go to the agency's address (Via dei Tavolini 15R, Firenze) to validate the tickets. We walked for 15 minutes, convinced by this call that we were going to resolve our situation. When we got there, she was on the phone with the museum, and explained to us that the museum couldn't let us in because we had already passed our entrance time and they couldn't change our tickets for another time because they didn't have availability. The agency couldn't help us either for the same reasons. A total waste of time, since she could have explained this to us over the phone, and money (144 dollars). She also suggested that we could buy tickets in front of the museum with other agencies. That's what we did, 35 dollars per person and we were finally able to enter that day, without any problem and at the same time we had bought the tickets. Which was incredible considering that the museum had no availability. Too disappointed with this experience at Academia Galleria, sad about the lack of willingness of the staff in this institution and travel agency to help us in our situation, which we resolved by paying again. We feel scammed.

Sarah and Kiera (sorry if I spelled that wrong) we’re absolutely great! They showed us some awesome sights and even told us where to get the best gelato! No lie though, those walks uphill are definitely not for the weak! But I had the most awesome time! Thanks for the great experience!

Laura was the best! I had messed up my ticket and she went out of her way to figure it all out for me. She was super sweet and understanding.

BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! We had booked a pasta making tour through Viator with this company and they didn’t show up or have working phone numbers!!

My review is for the tickets we bought for the visit of museums in Florence. It’s a scam. They sold us a guided tour but basically it’s just someone who hands you the ticket without any guide or explanation. Better to get tickets online or on site.

Went on the San Gimignano/Siena/Chianti tour with lunch and wine tasting. Our tour guide was lovely. Plenty of time at each location to explore although we would have preferred some more free time in Siena (the guided walking tour was quite long).The only thing that was disappointing was the lunch. The winery was very commercial and touristy, lunch was basic and the whole experience was rushed.

We were a little disappointed with our tour to Pisa. The gathering area was less than attractive no where to sit or get out of the rain. Tour started late then because of parking issue they walked you to a side street then instead of boarding you from the curb they boarded on the on coming traffic side of the bus which was very unsafe for the small children in the group. Our guide was ok but sounded new and a little unsure at times. When we arrived at Pisa they handed us off to the local guide and she was nice but her English was very broken. No only that she had the dual duty of having to explain everything in English then French which kinda wasted some of our time. We felt we didn’t get to see as much as we should because of it. The driver did a good job the ride was very smooth and comfortable. They pointed us to the area we could get a taxi and we made it home safe.

At first the experience was pretty bad because the AC was broken on the bus on the ride to Pisa. The actual tour itself was cool and our guide was very educated. Then they fixed the AC on the bus ride home which made everything much better. Overall I think it was a decent experience

Great Tours, great guides and great drivers! A must when you find yourself in Florence! Me and my husband did a couple of tours during last May, and everything was absolutely perfect! Thank you CAF Tours & Travel! Hardly recommend it!

I would recommend using this company. Our tour started on time and was well planned. The meeting point was very easy to find. The guides are funny and very knowledgeable. The coach has air, but not a lot of leg room and no outlets for electronics, so conserve your phone battery or bring a portable charger. Bring your own water snacks for full day tours, or you can purchase water on the bus for 1 euro.

In February 2020 i was in Florence with my wife and we visited the area of Chianti, we chose this tour of Caf Tour & Travel. It was fabolous, we travelled with the bus, very confortable and very clean. The driver was very kind and the our guide was very prepared and nice. We visited Greve in Chianti, a fabolous little town, and we did wine tasting in two winery. The wine was very good, at the end of the tasting we bought some bottles of wine and oliva oil so we continue to taste when come back in our home. We suggest this tour, next time when we'll come back in Florence we want to do a tour of Pisa - Lucca and Siena - San Gimignano, thank you very much to the Caf for your professionalism and kindness, see you soon.

I have always been skeptical to such kind of tours as I think you explore the city/country on your own better than when applying to such services. The recent tour to San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni, Chianti Day Trip with Lunch & Wine Tasting was semi-guided. The guide would talk about the place in the bus while driving and later take the group to the gate or some famous area and define a pick up time. Sorry, but I think to better understand the city sight/place, you should direct the group to that particular point and tell the history. Also very little time was given to explore the areas. The only guided tour was organised in Siena when the local guide chimed in. Whereas, the winery and lunch were great.

Our trip to Cinque terre was truly enchanting, a definite must for anyone in Florence. Marta, our team leader, was not only nice but also highly communicative. Although we wished for more time in the charming villages, the overall experience was undeniable delightful.

We had booked our tour to cinque terre from Florence and where travelling today I.e on 1st Sep 2023, However we had an pathetic experience with the tour guide..No etiquette followed..we asked couple of queries and the tour guide said not to ask any questions as we have not paid for her service..and her words were “You have not paid for my Service”. This were her exact words..and very rude and mean..We were shocked to hear from our own guide, however we did paid for the tickets which includes guide service, but how does it even matter train ticket or not, it’s a basic thing to answer queries for your own client. I have done a 100 of tours and have met a 100 of guides, she is just inhuman on her act and attitude, the reason I pay for the tour with an agent to get some handy information and this was the worst ever experience we have gone through today. I will not recommend this company with such shroud guides.

The service CAT Tour and Travel provided was unsatisfactory to say the least. We were at the meeting place at 445P which is what my ticket stipulated; the group left at 430p; we arrived at the school at 450P well before the 5P start time; we spoke to the cooking school and all they needed was for CAF tour to change from no show to show; We then called and spoke spoke to Michelle at CAF Tour to ask her to do that, and she was not prepared to do that. Seems like you were full, and did not want us to attend. Horrible, horrible service. We will never use Caf Tour and Travel again.
