Interesting! The Basilica della Santissima Annunziata - Chiesa di Santa Maria della Scala is in this square. There are others interesting buildings around. The Fontana Del Tacca (Tacca fountain) is located at this square. One strange thing is the fact that there aren't trees there.

This square was designed to be admired for its elegance, its harmonious colors and its calm character. Having said this, it is clear that it is the approach to the square that makes the difference. The best way to enter is to walk along Via dei Servi with the Duomo behind you. For 500 meters, you will pass small shops, supermarkets and restaurants, an American-style bakery (Sugar & Spice) and the Robiglio café, symbol of the city since 1928 (in via dei Servi 112/r), one of the oldest bars in Florence, precisely, where they have a delicious display of delicious pastries and make a super frothy cappuccino for breakfast (but also for lunch or dinner!).

One of the most beautiful and fascinating squares in Florence, surrounded by historical buildings and in front of the wonderful basilica. An equestrian monument of the Grand Duke Ferdinand I shares the space with two amazing bronze fountains by Pietro Tacca.

Fun place, full of wolf statues. Not as crowded, quiet and chill place to sit and ponder. I really want to go back now😁

Students hang out on the stairs, small bar sells take away drinks and beers. I’m wondering what is the tradition with the pink cloths to the padlocks.

Beautiful square with Renaissance styled displays and balconies. Within the square you will find the church of Annunziata which you might easily missed as the exterior is not prominent. But the interior of the church is the most beautiful I’ve ever visited by far. Must visit!

Get a photo looking toward the Duomo. Stop at one of the local sandwich shops, grab a seat on a stair somewhere and watch the other tourist posing for pictures in the courtyard. This is a nice spot to hang out between destinations.

Here you will find Piazza del Campidoglio which has a replica of the statue of Marcus Aurelius on horseback. The original statue is located inside the Capitoline Museums.
