Gorgeous historical synagogue and nice grounds. Very large interior, with beautiful ceilings and windows and so on. There's a decent array of items and history on display in the museum. There's also a room upstairs with a 20 minute video looping (unfortunately it's presented in a random room with minimal seating) that provides some interesting additional history about the synagogue and the community. And it has a great gift shop.

The most stunningly beautiful temple I’ve ever visited. Be sure to arrive earlier in the day as they may not play the educational video for you if it’s near closing time. Great gift shop, too!

If you’re in Florence, you must see the synagogue. It’s one of the biggest ones in the world and it is magnificent inside and out. I would highly recommend getting a guide so she can tell you the history and also see the museum. we had a fabulous guide that did that for us and it did in rich my experience

Beautiful interior. Building is huge. Museum was tiny and boring. Mostly in Italian.

Impressive synagogue that’s worth a visit, go upstairs to the Women Gallery to get a great perspective on the space. There’s a kosher restaurant right next to it called Ruth’s.

Glorious architecture, amazing place to start learning about the local Jews. Highly reccomend. The achostics are fantastic for singing. It's the most beautiful synagogue I have ever seen. Period.

Beautiful Synagogue with a rich history exhibit of the Jewish community in Florence and Tuscany. We stopped by on our way to the Galleria dell’Accademia and really enjoyed the museum and the synagogue. Highly recommend stopping by to see a lesser known and acknowledged part of Florentine history. Also, hours on Google maps do not match! Check online or walk by to see correct hours. Heads up that security is high here.

Beautiful and Magnificent synagogue in the center of Florence. Its magnitude cannot be described and must be experienced first hand.

Absolutely stunning example of monumental religious architecture outside the Christian vernacular. Not crowded, ADA accessible, and worth a visit.

Great display of Jewish artifacts and history in the museum, and the synagogue itself is just gorgeous

The lady from the ticket shop was rude. She didn't explain anything and she was upset that we don't know all the rules. The ticket also feels expensive: 10 euros one ticket and not so much to see.

It looked very beautiful, but you can't come near the building which is disappointing. It's located between normal houses Wich makes the atmosphere special.

Beautiful synagogue, very well kept and with a nice museum of the Italian Jews history. One of the 2 duomos of the city. A must stop in Firenze!

Beautiful old synagogue, covered in scaffolding but still incredible to see. Museum upstairs lots of artefacts and great history of the building. Definitely worth a visit

Very beautiful place! Not free as some people are saying in the comments, we paid 13€ for 2 people.

A real treasure. Women need to cover shoulders and legs

Beautiful, peaceful place, very solemn and poignant. Unfortunately due to world circumstances, and anti semitic terrorists, there had to be armed guards outside.

The most gorgeous synagogue I've ever visited. Absolutely obsessed with it. The mosaic, colors and detail on the ceilings took my breath away. It's a must see when visiting Florence. In addition to the temple is there is a lovely museum on the second floor that outlines the history of the Jews in Florence. It's a must see. Even the gift shop was lovely. I'll be recommending this to everyone.
