A hidden gem of the city of Florence, it stores an early Sandro Botecilli painting, when he was Fra Lippi pupil. Overall I loved how the exhibition and the experience. No big lines, which was a plus.

This was one of the most interesting and touching museums we've visited in Europe. If you've had enough of looking at statues and want to see a bit of humanity, come and learn about the first secular organisation to take in abandoned children, and see some stunning architecture. No queues, very affordable (€10 including an audioguide), and well worth the visit.

This building is really important to Florence and Medici history. It was an orphanage. You should look it up. It's also cool because it has an old drop off depository for baby's on the outside. Of course would be a problem today, but very interesting.

This is a very nice and unique museum, it has a very nice collection of artwork, sculptures, sketches, statues and paintings. The religious artworks are beautiful as is the building that houses this lovely museum. I really enjoyed my time here; the museum has a very nice layout and its very well preserved. I would definitely recommend checking out this museum when visiting Florence.

A gem, seemingly little known. Details the way unwanted children were given care at a time when they were being abandoned. So much history in that building. Not expensive, well presented and informative. It also has a roof terrace cafe with great views.

Excellent pearl slightly off the beaten track. Worth a visit also for the setting. Always very good non-mainstream exhibitions on.

I was there for the new exhibition of Alphonso Mucha. Tastefully displayed pieces of his beautiful art. Very insightful. Love this museum!

In addition to its collection of paintings (including Ghirlandaio's masterpiece, The Adoration of the Magi), the museum provides a well-curated insight into the 500 year-old history of Florence's foundlings.

Not a lot to see. It's ok of you have the Firenze card and 20 minutes.

Didn’t really have any expectations for this Museum. I mainly visited since it was included with the Firenze Card. Was definitely pleasantly surprised! The Museum gives you the history of the hospital, which was responsible for the care of abandoned infants and children. The building is considered an important example of early Renaissance architecture. The top floor of the museum also has some beautiful paintings. Would definitely recommend checking it out.

Very very beautiful museum. Not well known so there is only a few people. Very immersive and well detailed. The staff is so nice ❤️

It's totally worth visiting this museum. The renaissance architecture has been restored and improved to contemporary museum standards in an elegant, tasteful and restrained way. The collection itself, although small, boosts some masterpieces and it's arranged in a modern, minimalist fashion putting into value the works of art. Very good quality museography and explanations.
