We had a wonderful vegan dinner tonight at Le Fate Bistro. It’s a bit of a walk North of central Florence but it was well worth it! The owner was our chef, host, and server. She treated us very kindly and fed us one of the best dinners we’ve had in Italy. We started with a simple salad that was fresh and crisp - we could hear her in the back chopping it up. For mains we had a pasta dish and lasagna. The pasta was perfectly al dente and had great flavor. The lasagna was creamy and decadent. Each dish came with several sides, which were excellent as well. I highly recommend taking a break from the highly-touristy central Florence and take a walk up to Le Fate Bistro for dinner one night - you won’t regret it.

This place is just marvellous! Great food, great wine, great service…and a wonderful atmosphère, very unique and special in a city like Florence that has become very turistic. Thanks with all my hearth, this dinner was just special:)

Excellent & unique bistro! It's an excellent place. EXCELLENT. Period. Unique vegan recipes & a friendly person who runs this bistro alone apparently. 10 years of experience have led to the quality of food to be incomparable. A must-try in Florence, even for non-vegans. It's a bit off the city centre, but it’s worth it it will blow your mind.

I have been vegan for three years now and this is by far the best vegan food I’ve ever had!!! The owner is a lovely woman and the food is awesome. She cooks all dishes herself and freshly and everything is soo good and tasty. The place is a bit outside of Florence, but it’s totally worth the way. Highly recommended!

We arrived at 19:30, right after opening time, the owner explained that tonight was a fixed menu of starter, main and dessert. She mentioned they wouldn't start serving until 15 more minutes. We were fine with it. After 20 minutes the first starter was served, basically humus and some bread, and we were served another appetizer, bread and dips, after another 15 minutes. After that we waited and waited until a bit after 9pm, more than an hour and a half of waiting, the main dish was finally served. A lukewarm lasagna that was very doughy, light on sauce and just ok, and that was most of the meal. It did seem like it was just microwaved. The dessert came with the fixed menu deal, so we took it, and chose their tofu cheesecake after the waiter told us if we're vegan we must taste it. It was also just ok. Not the best vegan cheesecake by far. All of it was very expensive, about €35 per person (we were a couple) not including drinks or wine (or water). It was not worth the price and the wait. Regardless of the food, the atmosphere was also bad. There was a large group of people who can only be assumed to be regulars, as they chatted away with the owner. They were obnoxiously loud, which didn't seem to bother the owners. If you're vegan and have standards, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

My partner and I enjoyed this cute little bistrot during out first night in Florence, run by a very small team and staff. We especially loved the housemade cheesecake with a berry sauce. My partner isn't vegan and said it was the best vegan cheesecake he's tried! Really excellent food and so glad we stopped!

This meal was amazing! Great vegan food that meat eaters would love too. We loved the astrological theme. The owner and chef were so welcoming, and the owner even gave us a little astrological reading when we were chatting after our meal. Would highly recommend!

Food is tasty and creative, and fun to see a fully vegetarian place around. That being said, prices are high (17€ for any main dish). There is also a 2€ seating fee per person that we didn't see in the menu. Cool concept and place, but not sure I would come back.

Serenella is the perfect host, she cooked a fantastic vegan meal and also gave us a fascinating reading of our star signs! Definitely 5/5 and would recommend to everyone looking to escape the usual tourist traps in Florence

Fantastic vegan dinner, the owner is really nice and friendly. Food was amazing, I’d travel back to Florence just for the lasagna and the tiramisu. Can’t advise you enough to eat there!

My wife and I fell in love with this bistro. We live in Luxembourg, but every time we are in Firenze we let ourselves be carried away by the magic, the friendliness and the knowledge of the "fata". This August has truly overcome itself, she has created a dinner revisiting traditional Tuscan dishes in a vegan key. Simply SUBLIME. Do not miss this unique experience!

Magic experience at Le Fate. It isn't easy to find good Italian vegan restaurant, but Le Fate exceeded our expectations. The dishes have authentic Italian taste or rather explosion of taste :) and are well rounded in terms of proteins, carbs and fiber, plus they are composed according to the zodiac signs. Vegan wines and amazing vegan desserts left us wanting to come back again and again while in Florence. And if you are lucky you can get astrological advices from the adorable Fata Serenella ✨
