During our trip to Sicilia we stayed at a camping site next to Florence. It was our first stop and this evening we decided to go to a nice restaurant, we passed Giovanni Samtarpia and decided to have our dinner here. Luckily we were there when they opened so they had a table for us without reservation. The restaurant was full, completely full which was no coincidence because it was very very good. The food, the service, the restaurant itself, everything was great! Thanky you so much for the nice amd delicious evening!

I had one of the best pizzas in my life at this place, took the "estivale" : a zucchinis&pistachios based pizza with pancetta, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes on top. The taste is amazing and the crust is perfectly cooked, unfortunately I don't live in Firenze, otherwise I would have tasted the whole menu. It's definitely a perfect place for the pizza lover living inside you.

Best pizza I’ve had in Italy this 2-week trip. Friendly and attentive staff, rapid service and of course delicious food. Pizzas are large, which is great! The menu is simple and not over-burdened. Good wine selection and craft beers. It gets busy very soon after opening so reserve a table or get there for opening time.

Could possibly be the best pizza I have ever had in my life. It’s been 2 days since we went and I haven’t not thought about it ever since. What more could I say? Just go there without hesitation. Giovanni santarpia is a master of his trade.

We made the walk from our Airbnb and we’re so glad we did! This place was delicious and staff was so lovely. We came late in the evening and they sent us home with their homemade loaf of bread! We made sandwhiches today and it was fantastic. Highly recommend any pizza with anchovies and the squid ink rice ball appetizer

Excellent margherita pizza!!! The tiramisu at the end was a special surprise - it had pistachio on them, which was such a nice and delicious little twist!

Authentic sourdough pizza napoletana. Very good dough - light, flavoursome and highly digestible. Interesting topping combinations, with high quality seasonal ingredients. The menu changes to match the seasons.

If you stumbled upon this spot consider yourself blessed. This is hands down the best pizza we had in Italy during our 2 week vacation exploring pizzerias all over Italy. I wish I could remake or come close to remaking this in US. Plan on going here once a day next time over there. Reserve and go there ASAP

I have visited more than 20 Italian cities (besides Napoli), this place makes the best pizza in Italy, as simple as that. The Marguerita pizza is something from heaven. The fluffiness and crunchiness at the same tome are unbeatable. The products are so fresh, the seasoning is perfect. We walked 35 minutes from the center of Firenze and they were worth it. A bus stop is located at the restaurant door. I could travel back to Florence just to have another Marguerita in that place.

The pizza was good, not great. But the cover charge of over 7euros per person was outrageous!! And it is not written anywhere!! Not expecting it, not worth it!

This was amazing. The twice fermented crust and the fresh toppings were simple, innovative and sensational. Oh and the octopus arancini !

Very disappointing. We were really looking forward to the pizza however both pizzas we ordered were undercooked to the point of having raw dough on the base. Additionally we ordered the kataifi prawns starter which also was raw. We were offered a new pizza however when we declined we were not offered any discount or apology. Overhyped restaurant with poor service and much worse food
