I am not expert of the area but I found the restaurant price is affordable. I had eat before better steak but this one was good too. My boyfriend forgot his wallet and they kept it safe until we came. Thank you so much!! Note for tourists: coperto means service fee. They are taking 2 euro per person.

Enjoyable experience at a historic location. Everything was tasty. Not far from the Duomo. Because it’s surrounded by restaurants on the same street, it would be easy to walk by as there isn’t a long line waiting to be seated but still fairly busy. Friendly and attentive staff. Mostly Italians were eating here vs where some places cater mainly to tourists. Great value. Reminds me of a family diner with a homely feel except it’s with very good Italian specialties. Like being invited to your Italian grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner. Recommended with enthusiasm.

We noticed the Prix Fixe menu outside and the Al fresco diners seemed pleased with their meals so we went in and ordered the 300g sirloin and the 500g ribeye steak Florentine meals. They were 23€ and 28€ respectfully. Both came with a glass of wine, a first course of bruschetta, and roasted potatoes with the steak. This may have been the BEST MEAL I'VE EVER EATEN! The steak was incredibly juicy tender and so full of flavor! Everything else was wonderful as well!

We had sliced beef with pocini mushrooms, mixed salad and pasta with mushrooms. The beef and pasta were really delicious. Beautiful ambience with muted lights and music. A delightful place to come to whether on your own or with friends or special person. This restaurant occupies both sides of the lane - plenty of seating. Very popular dining place. Outdoor dining also available - but not during wet weather. I did find the service charge here a little higher than other restaurants I have been to though.

I spent more time fighting with my undercooked T-bone steak than eating it due to all the gristle. Eventually just gave up. When the waitress asked how my meal was and I told her, she just shrugged. The potatoes were delicious, and the pizzas that others were having looked good. Should have ordered one of those.

We just wanted a couple thin crust pizzas—and we found a winner. Franco took beautiful care of us. Service was efficient and polite. The space is clean. After hours of walking, it was fantastic to sit down in this quieter location. We got a Margherita and a Spicy Salami (similar to pepperoni) and some local red wine. Prices are fair. We will return.

The steak with roasted potatoes, grilled lamb with hot peppers and chicken with cream mushrooms all are very good and tasty. The service is very attentive.

Wonderful place, wonderful staff, wonderful food. Honestly the most underrated restaurant in Florence, not touristy at all. You know it’s good because the locals go here. Super affordable as well. Highly recommend to try the pizza, the main courses, and the desserts.

We went to this restaurant last night. Can safely say the staff are extremely friendly and pleasant. As for the food, best steak we have ever eaten. The wines recommended were spot on and delicious, Compliments to the chef and staff. We left some of our belongings at the restaurant by accident and in the morning we went to get them back and they had kept them nice and safe for us. Can’t ask for better service from a restaurant.

Stopped to eat here as my mom was clothes shopping next door. Close to Duomo and San Lorenzo church. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. Amazed to find it’s been around since 1580! They say it’s the first restaurant ever! I had the mushroom truffle pizza - which is thin crust and pretty good. ( I did add salt and chillie flakes to zest it up a bit.) We also had bruschetta. I liked this. And it didn’t Rain. Nice staff - friendly and attentive.

The owner and the staff are really amazing people. The food was amazing as well. Very good steak for the price. Very good location in Florence. The atmosphere is very relaxing and you aren't never rushed throughout the dinning process. We traveled from Cape Coral, Florida and would definitely do it again. Thanks for the wonderful experience. Put this place on your things to do while in Florence.

We happened to walk past and were rather impressed by the signage suggesting this place has a long history. We ordered the lasagna (decent) and a 3-flavoured pizza (did not go down particularly well). Service was on the slow side despite not being crowded.

We love it and came here the other day too. This time i want to try the seafood pasta (12euro)and it was great too if you going to florence for the first time i definitely recommend this place.

Pasta is not the best. Probably it’s better to order a beef or even a pizza. However they have good service and food is not too overpriced. Wine and Sprits are way too expensive though.

We came here 2 days in a row. First days dinner was perfect! Meat, bread..crazy yummy. The second days dinner was so-so, but we came early, at 17:30, my suggestion come here after 19:00 and you will not be disappointed
