My family and I had the best experience purchasing from Sam. It was an all around enjoyable and high quality customer service experience. We bought a few of his hand-made leather jackets and get compliments on them all the time. Well fitted, excellent quality, and unique designs for each of us. I’ll be keeping it forever! We also bought leather wallets and purses which were one of a kind too, for great prices, something I have never been able to find in the United States. Finally, Sam treats his customers like family. He spent time matching items to our personalities and styles so that we would really enjoy our purchases. He puts the customer first. One of the buttons on my leather wallet fell off (which was not Sam’s fault) and I messaged Sam through What’s App and he had me pick out a new wallet of the same kind and OVERNIGHT shipped it to me! I have never had such a holistic shopping experience. Sam ships internationally, so I can’t wait until I need a new item and can reach out to purchase. God bless his wonderful business.

We cannot say enough good things about Sam and his store. We were in Florence for two nights and decided to stop in. We walked through the doors not knowing what we were looking for other than a men’s leather coat. Sam showed us beautiful leather coats, all different styles and colors. There are so many beautiful items in his store. We settled on a handsome reversible leather/cashmere jacket in dark blue. Bought 2 beautiful women handbags both in lovely dove gray (one for me and one for my mother) and 3 wallets today on our merry way around beautiful Florence. I knew as soon as Sam, the very friendly owner, invited us in to "just look" at cute things to bring home, that I wasn't going to come out empty-handed. Top choice quality leather and craftsmanship, all Italian and Florentine-made, which for me was really the point. The price was super fair - you can bargain and he will try to come up to a compromise. The time spent talking with Sam and trying on bags with no pressure was also such a pleasant experience. I agree with the other reviews - you can tell that Sam procures great leather products. He had by far the most unique selection of leather products in Florence. He mentioned that his family produces the leather jackets which is very cool! Very reasonable prices. I had a hard time deciding on a purse - in addition to the pictured one, he also had a longchamp style leather bag. Great option if you don’t want to pay for a custom purse from the Florence leather school!

My wife had been looking for a leather jacket for a couple years. We could never find the style, cut, or fit that she was happy with. It seemed like every shop was just interested in a trial/error approach to fitting her. It was always random and futile. We happend to be walking by at stopped at Il Perseo. When we arrived, Sam listened and quickly understood what we needed. He had a good eye for fit and more importantly listened closely. He has a personal approach which works well. In fact, he was extremely patient in showing me how each jacket was genuine leather, and taught me about it. My wife purchased a beautiful jacket and she is eager to show friends and family back home. We look forward to coming back again!

Me and my husband wandered into this store by chance, only knowing my husband wanted some sort of leather jacket. Sam went to the back and brought out a black leather jacket that fit my husband perfectly. We ended up walking around for another hour and immediately came back to buy the jacket. We shopped around based on the top recommended leather shoos from social media as a first timer in Florence. We ended up coming back here because the quality, style of bags and service were the best. There was a good variety of styles from designer inspired to classic, clean and timeless bag options which is why I ended up buying 5 bags.
