Beautiful idea: Renaissance garden; maintenance could be improved.

One visits this villa because its historical importance in Tuscan landscape architecture. Sadly the famed grotto is under repair and the Giardino Segreto poorly maintained. But it seems the citrus collection is still going strong. The famous statue of Hercules is a copy - the original is at the nearby Medicean villa.

It is a beatifull garden, it was a bit neglected. But still its beauty is still aparent in many facets. UNESCO took it as world heritage-hope it will improve the situation soon. We visited the garden 20 years ago in the spring and the garden was beatifull and very well maintained. So i was disappointed a bit. Renaissance garden are very intresting in the history of gardening - recommand to read before some materials.

The garden of the villa is amazing, for me it's on the first place of all Medici villas. The sculptures are so detailed and the whole sorroundings of peace, hearing the birds sing and not hearing the urban noise make you feel for a bit that you went back in time.

Residence of the Medici family, the Villa is surrounded by a beautiful park an a huge wood too. It's good for families with lids s well as for adults who wants to visit the Villa.

Interesting little garden full of ornamental lemon trees. It would be even better if the fountains were working. However, it’s great for taking a late afternoon stroll. Check the website for the correct opening/closing times...

This was a great afternoon The gardens are exceptional please note that you can't actually enter the old home but you can browse around outside. It was not a very long bus ride from downtown maybe 20 minutes easy to get to and very very quiet.

Very impressive when you take into account this was built hundreds of years ago with bare hands. Beautiful expression of man made nature. The cave is really impressive
