Sara and Niccoló make unique, quality cocktails with passion and fun. Great place to go for pre and post dinner drinks but looks like the food is worth going back for too. Fries looked amazing! Highly recommend.

We stopped by for brunch and were not disappointed! The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly, and I was able to get a giant satisfying plate of goodies (French toast with strawberry sauce, eggs, bacon and hash browns). My only minor complaint being my hash browns were burnt on the edges~ but that didn’t stop me from eating every last bite of my food. we even got a brownie (complete with vanilla ice cream) for dessert, which was heavenly. I’ll definitely be heading back and recommend you do the same!

As Americans, we were hesitant when a local suggested this spot because we wanted to avoid touristy locations, but we are so glad we went! "American Bar" simply means that it's a bar you are meant to sit at, talk, eat, etc. The owners are wonderful, both skilled and friendly, and their regular patrons were lovely as well. The Craft cocktails are world class with homemade syrups/shrubs, elaborate preparations, and beautiful garnish but the atmosphere is completely unpretentious. Our quick after-dinner drink easily turned into a four hour adventure that has been a highlight of our trip. An absolute must for locals and tourists alike!

After a couple days in Florence, we needed a respite, and this was the perfect place. Sarah, the owner, is from New Jersey, and while there is definitely European flavor and some of the music is Australian, Canadian or English, it hits the mark. The burgers are perfection, with locally sourced beef, the fries are as good as it gets and the service is enthusiastic and genuine.

This place is a top notch American bar that has excellent quality for reasonable prices in a warm atmosphere that isn't at all kitschy. The cocktails stand out on their own, but the food is equally impressive. Nicolo and Sarah do an amazing job of bringing authentic American flavors to Florence while providing stellar service and a fun vibe. The drinks were so good that my friend and I wanted to order more just to be able to taste them! Similarly, although we ordered the deep fried pickles and an entree each and were quite full, we couldn't pass up the brownie for dessert, which was out of this world. If you're in the area near San Frediano or Santo Spirito, you cannot pass this place up!

Fabulous cocktails,expertly prepared. Really good food using top quality ingredients. Still dreaming about the Italian marinade ribs! But most of all the hospitality is warm and genuine , you are made to feel so welcome in their bar.

Fantastic bar with amazing food and so many spirits. The owners, a husband and wife, are just delightful. I grew up in Maryland, where one of the owners lived and worked for years before moving to Italy, and I found the food reminded me of home and was so comforting and delicious. Great vibe, people there are so friendly and easy to talk to, and amazing drinks. The owners understand what you’re after and share options of which bottles maybe best to try. Highly recommend the burgers, chicken burger and incredible chicken wings! Properly fried and served piping hot, not baked and served lukewarm and slightly squishy like so many other places.

Went here for a cocktail before dinner, Nicolo the owner is super friendly and makes a fabulous cocktail! Didn't eat here but the people next to us ordered burgers that looked amazing. Will be back when we're in Florence again thank you Nicolo :)

My husband and I went there on Friday, had a nice time with the owner and his wife. Told our friends about it, went again on Saturday with our friends and the owner was so rude. We arrived with my friends and their grandmother. The owner first told us there was no room. There were 3 seats free at the bar. The rest of us (we were 7 total) said no problem, we will order drinks and stand outside. Then he complained that he had to shut the door. My friend’s disabled grandmother, who uses a wheelchair and 2 crutches when she walks was trying to exit the place but apparently wasn’t moving fast enough for him. He was so rude. There are plenty of places that have good drinks and respect people. This place doesn’t. 👎🏻

What a find! If you want comfort food and a super experience don't hesitate! It's a gem… burgers cooked to perfection by Sarah accompanied by a perfect cocktail! Love it

Must try this place if you are in Florence. We came here for dinner and it was delicious. The owner and his wife run this place and they were very welcoming and kind. The cocktails were amazing, the Bloody Faker is a must try. We also had the pulled pork sandwich and chicken sandwich which were both DELICIOUS. Better American food here than in America! Definitely a hidden gem. Don’t miss out.

I found this gem on my first visit to Florence Italy. I’m from the west coast of the US and was curious what an “American bar” was like in Florence. The experience was amazing! Mouth watering, artisanal cocktails, great American rock music and a friendly, relaxed vibe. Nicolo and Sara are the owners and are the most charming of hosts. Really amazing staff and great selection of beer! Totally fell in love with this place. Went there 2 nights in a row. The second evening we only stayed for one beer due to loud company at a table, otherwise we would have stayed much longer. Thanks from Sweden ❤️

Great experience here for drinks and dinner. The fries in particular were fantastic. Plus great service from the owners! Lastly, it was super handy to be able to reserve a table online.

Nicolo and Sarah have created something truly special here. It is a hard sell to convince the locals of Florence to sit at an actual bar and eat American food, but the fully reserved seating and the number of Italians brushing shoulders with travelers as they ate bison burgers and downed Old Fashions is a testament to just how good Djaria is. This is not your average dive bar. Nicolo makes some of the best cocktails we have ever tried. I never knew that a whiskey sour could be so good until we had him whip one up on recommendation. The secret is that Nicolo and Sarah painstakingly make their own mixes. The beer selection is a mixture of some of Italy's best breweries (that's not a joke) and American imports. The black IPA was a particular favorite. If you're thinking of skipping over the food here, don't. Sarah prepares some of the best chicken wings we have ever had from wings she purchases daily from the local market. The sauces are also made in-house and are excellent. Every burger on the menu can be served with beef, buffalo, or bison, and while we did not try them personally, they seemed very popular with the locals. Most importantly, Nicolo and Sarah are wonderful people that make an effort to engage with every customer that comes through their doors. It is their great hospitality and fantastic selection of food and beverages that make people become regulars. I know American bar is not the first thing that comes to one's mind while in Florence, but if you make the effort to stop by and give Djaria a try, I promise that you won't regret it.

Awesome bar! Loved the owners - super friendly and fun, great atmosphere! Awesome selection of liquor, solid taps for beer and the burger looked AMAZING! Almost went back to try the burger. Definitely will be back and will highly recommend!

This was the best taste of home I've ever had. Nicolò's cocktail recipes and his presentation of each (especially the Djària Old Fashion) will have you wanting more also if you like Whiskey or Gin the selection is grand; most of them i never heard of but i want to taste them all! For food Sarah (the Chef) had made us Buffalo wings 😋 🙌 absolutely amazing, fried Mac n cheese bites and Fried Pickle chips were so good. Plus she gave us some of her new BBQ sauces she's working on so we got some dip for our fries. For dinner I had a Jalapeño Burger topped with her Bacon buttermilk Ranch. best burgers in town. Needless to say we left in a food comma. Will be defintley revisting maybe even today. 7 stars out of 5 recommend

Small but great place tucked in among the streets of the residential side of Florence. The staff all spoke English very well and were helpful with suggestions. Great music choices, amazing food and funny drink names. Felt welcomed and very well taken care of

I simply cannot recommend this bar enough. For starters the barman is an award winning cocktail maker! We tried some of the most unique and special cocktails, that you'd be paying $$$$ for back home in London. The atmosphere was also incredible, the owners make sure you feel right at home. Must try while in Florence !

The cocktails here were amazing 🍹and the staff were super friendly and fun! The burger was delicious, I got “the usual” however I didn’t take a photo because I ended up eating it straight away! Sooooo good!

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights in Florence and found ourselves in this bar on two of them. It is a small, intimate place run by a couple, Sarah and Nicolo, who are keen to extend a warm welcome. Nicolo is obviously passionate about cocktails and he made us an assortment of classics (old-fashioned and margarita) and his own inventions. Every drink was delicious! This is a unique little spot and I would recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in the vicinity.

Excellent burgers, fries and cocktails. This place has got it all! If you’re looking for some real good comfort food and drinks, Djaria is a must! Can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommended.

This bar is an absolute must if you are a gin aficionado. I had no idea that Italy had such an overwhelmingly great variety of gin and Niccolò had me taste five of them (in the course of two nights of course.) Even if you don’t like gin or drinks, just come for the good vibes. I’ll definitely come back here when I’m back in town.

Super friendly staff and delicious food. We had the fried chicken sandwich which was mouth watering. My partner ordered the Como El Agua cocktail and it was one of the best drinks we’ve ever tasted. I was recommended a local beer and it was so refreshing I had two. Definitely come here if you’re in the area!

By far the best cocktail bar in town. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. The whiskey selection is impressive, from commercial ones to amazing rarities.
