Did ours last night with Medi. He was an amazing guy and made the tour so fun. He was very animated and encouraged us to ask any questions. He joked with us and made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable. There were automated tracks, but he added extra information. He made you feel like you needed to live in Florence. These tours are great. Highly recommend this tour!

The tour itself was a great way to see the city and the guide was friendly. That being said, we asked for a restaurant recommendation and he dropped us off at the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at in Italy, and one of the worst overall (Ristorante-Pizzeria Ginori). The food was not good, the wait staff was purposely misleading (said our food came with sides and then charged us an extra €8 eaxh for underwhelming and small sides. The restaurant was also cash only but the sign was small and did not see it until we were ready to leave. One of the worst examples of a "tourist trap" that I've seen. I wouldn't say don't take the tour but definitely don't take any of their recommendations.

great tour with Ana in Florence After deciding we’d skip the customary double-decker bus tour – the reviews were bad and we wondered how such a bus could manoever through the narrow streets of Florenz – we had decided just to hoof it this time. While enjoying lunch, I glimpsed then what looked like a golf cart silently gliding along with the name Eco-Tours in green. Their website provided all the info we needed, and we immediately booked a tour for the following day. While their headquarters is just a couple of minutes from Florence’s iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge, they arranged to meet us at a place closer to our hotel, in front of the Apple Store on the Piazza de Repubblica. For the next two hours we learned a lot about Florence’s history, architecture, iconic sights, Ana also gave us insights about what it’s like to live here as a foreigner that tour books don’t provide. And we covered distances that would’ve exhausted us on foot – from the middle of town, across the Arno and into the quarter of Oltrarno and the gentrification controversies there, past the Palazzo Pitti and all the way up the hill to a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding countryside from the Piazzale Michelangelo. We were able to take brief breaks not only to see the bronze version of David but also briefly explore the impressive Baroque interior of the Ognissanti church as well as visit the contemporary French artist Clet Abraham’s studio, whose irreverant humorous street art you can find in various places around town. Ana also let us choose the Piazza di San Firenze for a brief stop. Upon returning to the middle of the city and the magnificent Duomo we’d not only learned a lot more about Florence in so many different ways from our wonderful Spanish guide Ana, we were able then to walk around without sore feet. We hope that the Eco Tours in Florence becomes a role model for other tours in other cities – what a wonderfully environmentally friendly way to learn more about an old city with charming Ana!

Our driver Medi was the best! Charming and funny he gave us great insight and commentary the whole way. Highlights included a stop at a wine window where he helped us get spritzes and Proseccos to go. We had a great time with Francesco! The tour was fantastic and was a great way to get around the city, the views, and the hidden gems definitely made this tour worth it! Give your feet a rest in Florence. Easy to find pick up location as well.

Francesco was wonderful and the tour was informative and fun. He took me and my 4yo son and parents on a tour of Florence which I highly recommend. My folks are art teachers and it was obvious Francesco had immense knowledge of the history, architecture and culture of the city. This is by far the best tour we have been on. Make sure you do this early in your trip to Florence so you can go back and explore all the places you get a taste of. Thank you Francesco!

Fantastic tour!!! He picked us up from our hotel and took us to all the sites listed. Explained everything patiently and played an audio to describe the sites. He stopped at 2 churches and recommended we go inside. Both were not crowded (which is a pleasant surprise given the long lines of tourists at most places). He took pictures of us in front of the monuments, and even dropped us off at our pizza place where we wanted to eat lunch. We got to see everything without exhausting ourselves from the walking. I definitely recommend this tour. We paid in cash at the end of the tour. I called their number directly to book it.

We took two tours with EcoTours. Our golf cart/walking tour in Florence was informative and a great way to get oriented to the city. Charlie and Saif were personable and knowledgeable. Our tour of the Uffizzi with Isabella was excellent. Her knowledge was superlative. And she was very nice. 4 stars only because pre-tour communication was spotty and almost lead to us missing our Uffizzi tour. Would recommend to tour operator to send confirmation emails with all detail.

Francesco was absolutely amazing, very vibrant and knowledgeable. He made what seemed to be an overwhelming city into an absolute joy. He was extremely kind and patient with our 3 children. I would highly recommend this tour!

Our tour started at our hotel at 10 am on a Sunday. Traffic was light, so Luca, our driver, was able to take time to talk to us along the way. His comments added to the prerecorded tour audio. We enjoyed time spent overlooking the city. Overall, it was a great experience. Definitely a great way to get an orientation to a fine city.
