One of the most historic churches in all its splendor

Great church to get your first taste of Florence as you come off the train (the station is nearby). Made of the same marble as the Duomo. There was a nice plaza near it without a lot of tourists.

Situated not far from the train station, this large, roughly pentagon-shaped piazza has a number of hotels, restaurants, and stores around the perimeter with some vendors during the day. There is also a taxi stand of sorts at the south end that always have one or two waiting for customers. The park-like setting (there is more green here than in a typical piazza) is a good place to sit an admire the basilica, enjoy a gelato, or just watch the world go by. We always felt very safe here - people around no matter what time of the day or night.

A nice square in the center of Florence. Not the nicest, but nice buildings to visit close to it.

We basically bought a coffee so we could have somewhere to sit while we wanted for our train. Coffee was OK, service was quick. You can order at the counter or on the screens - which is a nice easy option if you don't speak Italian and want some time to check out the menu.

Ordered a Piadina. It was made in the kitchen from where I could see while waiting outside. Customizations are supported and it was a really good one!

Absolutely delicious ! We visited this bakery almost everyday we were in Florence while taking the train from Santa Maria novella station. It is adjacent to Mac Donald’s. The coffee there is mind blowing! Among the baked foods we tried the croissant, the blueberry ricotta tart and a few other things. All of them were amazing. I also got the margarita pizza and the porchetta sandwich and they were so yummy. Highly recommended if you are in Santa maria novella Firenze !!

I like the restaurant....food was delicious....there was Brazil girl she treat us very well, decorations is super awesome....the only thing is normal coca-cola was more then expensive

Amazing place for tourist and shopping.

I climbed up on the bell tower. I recommend if you are fine with walking a lot in a slim area. But the view was very sure and I enjoyed the experience.

Good value given the exceptional view from the outside seating. Fluent english service, good pizza and salad.

Nice square close to a railway station. Got to have a rest sitting on big seats. A good place for children to ride on their skates or small bikes.

Our tour group had an amazing local specialist that made the visit to Pisa enjoyable and educational. Never knew it was one of Italy's great ports and how strong the winds were that close to the sea. We were there for a couple of hours but could have spent an entire day there.

It’s one the most famous and beautiful squares in Florence.

Interesting Square with a few tour groups, people walking/sitting around. Plus lots of pink flowers (miniature roses??) among green grass. However, the Cathedral and bell tower are not as magnificent as the nearby Duomo Cathedral & Giotto Bell Tower.

Beautiful Church but denied entry to pray! Apparently you have yo be a tourist but we didn't want to see the museum so told to go away! Disappointing as it is firstly a place of pray.

Worst service I've seen in Florence and beyond. As soon as we paid for the order, an employee named Giacomo simply began to ignore us, and then answered rudely. First and last time my friends and I went to this cafe.

Nice building from the outside. Unfortunately now you have to pay to get inside - 7.50€ for adults. Looks nice in the evening. Very stylish building, good for taking some photos for memories from Florence.
