Best Doppio Espresso Americano I’ve had ... and just yards from a super tourist hotspot (The Piazza Duomo in Firenze)! Had my first taste of a regional sweet treat, rice filled pasty - called something like “bodino delicioso” A treat indeed, crisp pastry case with a firm rice pudding textured filling with something like a toasted custard crown ... not that sweet too 👌🏼

We visited this place just for two espresso during lunch time. The personel seemed a little disappointed that we only ordered drinks although no one else was in the small cafe. The espresso were good, but we felt not welcome.

We went there daily for three weeks while we studied at the Italian school next door. The panini were delicious; just solid classic Italian panini for a decent price (€4.50). They're also happy for you to customise the panini which I really appreciated! Despite the other reviews I want to note that the owners are not rude at all - they were really kind to us and patient with our budding Italian. The husband might seem a little grumpy but he's just got resting b face 😂 Overall a wonderful experience - we will miss this cafe dearly when we leave Florence!
