At first it was difficult to find, we arrived late and theres only small sign next to the doorbell, had to call the contact number to get acces code for main door, first impression was sketchy as when you enter you find youself in an old and kinda dirty building that seems to lack maintenance with a kinda of sketchy elevator just in front of the door. After getting to the 3rd floor everything changed you are welcomed at a renovated part of the building, facilities are nice and clean. As I said we arrived late so there was no front desk, we where provided with access code so we could enter our rooms, they sent us menu for breakfast via WhatsApp so we could choose what we wanted. The next day we woke up to find our breakfast ready, staff is very friendly and helpfull, rooms are nice and clean, and with good internet speed. Overall very recommended place, I would just advice owner to try and put bigger signage outside building as it was difficult to find the place.

We spent (2 people, 1 night) 80 euro for “Standard room”. At 3rd floor (there is the lifter). Nice dealer. Electronic key. Bathroom without window but with aspirator. There are: air conditioner, hairdryer, safe, wifi, television, minibar with water and Coca-Cola). Furniture is not new, cleaning could be better and shower stall is tight. Breakfast with menu A, B, C is included in the price (for the brunch you pay 10 euro/each one). We got A and B menù breakfast: they are delicious. Park for car: very few. Park for bike: few. Closed 1.1 kilometer from Piazza Duomo and 1.2 kilometer from “Santa Maria Novella” train station.

Great, helpful, smiley staff. Clean, spacious rooms. Fantastic breakfast! I'd highly recommend it to anyone! Even had different types of milk (Almond, soya) for coffee/cereal. As everywhere in Florence, you'll need your ear plugs whilst sleeping, especially on Fri and Sat nights.

Amazing family style hotel. Very friendly owners, super clean rooms, nice and cosy atmosphere. The rooms are big and spacious with little details that would make you happier, like free Netflix, mini bar, and nice brand of shampoo. Definitely recommend this if you’re staying in Florence:)

The room was large and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a little further away from the main activities of Florence, but still not too bad. I would stay there again.

Lovely big rooms, immaculately clean, so close to both the train station (15 min walk) and the historical area (less than 10 min walk) Service was great and the breakfast as lovely and the portion was so generous. Service was friendly and helpful! Great for solo travelers.

We stayed at Residenza San Gallo in September 2017, for two nights as part of our honeymoon trip. It was as amazing experience, and we couldn't recommend it more! It is very well located, about 15 mins walk to city centre (in Firenze everything is walking distance), but far enough to be quiet and tranquil at night. We chose to walk from the train station (about 30 mins), but with bags we advise to take a taxi. Scilla provided us with excellent information and tips about the city and the best places to eat and visit. The rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated in a clean, chic style. There are coffee and tea amenities available. Bathroom is wide and clean with a very good ample shower. Breakfast wasn't provided at the Residenza itself, but rather in an unusual way that we ultimately loved: they gave us cards (1 coffee or cappuccino, 1 juice, 2 croissants or sandwich/ croissant) for us to use at two different cafes (one next to the Residenza, the other at Piazza San Marco). We chose the one at Piazza San Marco, and what delicious breakfast we had! Crispy hot croissants with excellent fillings, the best cappuccino, all while eating outside in the morning fresh air. Excellent way to start the day! Overall, a very florentine experience; we felt at home at Residenza San Galo, and together with the beautiful city of Firenze, made for an unforgettable experience!

Good night’s sleep in a less busy Florence neighbourhood N43°46'50.9" E11°15'33.4" From tram line T2 final destination Unita, it is a 15-minutes (1,1 km) walk north on the Via Sant'Antonio to the B&B. Still within walking distances of the main attractions, this B&B is located in district of San Marco, a less crowded part of the city. The B&B is on the second floor (3F), accessible by the usual small Italian elevator, suitable for two people. This B&B is a family business of Fabio & Giulia, but this family with young child does not live in the building. During the day, Fabio or an employee is present. They have a solution for late arrivals. In May 2019, our room number 6 did not look out on the Via San Gallo, like the other rooms, but on the Via Bonifacio Lupi. It is a large room with a double bed, a small bathroom with a good shower, hair dryer, air conditioning, television, minibar, closet and room safe. We slept with open windows, but the intersection of Via San Gallo and Via Bonifacio Lupi is a lively intersection at night. This B&B, like so many in Florence, does not offer a breakfast service, although there is coffee and cake in the hallway. Instead, you will receive a voucher for breakfast in the pasticceria Gorretta downstairs or Gran Caffè San Piazza in Piazza San Marco. You can have a coffee, a fruit juice, a croissant and a sandwich. Good authentic start of the day. In addition to good reviews and location, the decision to stay in this B&B was based on Fabio’s friendly and personal responses to our email request for a reservation. We made our reservation by e-mail without using an online travel agency. We received a €10 discount for staying 4 nights. Per night we paid in May 2019 €135, a usual but rather high price level is Florence. Breakfast is €3 per person. Via San Gallo 79 B&B offered a good night’s sleep. Recommended.

Very good locatiin, rooms with modern style and very clean. The owners were always very helpfull. Without any doubt I will choose Residenza San Gallo in my next visit to Florence!

Me and my friend had one of the most terrible experience with this hotel (B & B Residenza San Gallo 79, Florence) during our Europe Trip. No one answered the phone number given in the confirmation email when we tried calling them from Chur and than again from Venice train station. When we reached Florence and went to the hotel we found nobody and than came to know that our two nights reservation from July 2nd to July 4th has been cancelled. We had no place to go in the new city and country. It was around 9:00 pm and dark. One of the person in the same building helped us and walked us to the nearest police station. The Police helped us booking a new place to stay and also arranged for a taxi for us. It is completely unprofessional to do that when we had an email with confirmation number. So far they have not processed our refund. We are charged for something we never got to stay.

Very nice room, excellent clean.Close to center (12-7 minutes). The hostess is really nice and kind. Highly recommended for couples.

We totally recommend it! Beautiful studio, very clean, warm in a very good area! We will be back for sure!
