Really central location, which makes it great to visit the city center but also loud in the early morning and late evening. The wifi was fair, but working from there for a few days the wifi dropped me out of video calls multiple times.

Perfect location! Helpful and welcoming staff! We enjoyed staying in Palazzo Gamba! Though our two-bedroom does not have a view of Duomo, it is spacious, quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped. All major attractions are just within walking distance! A great base to visit Florence!

Awsome hotel, right next to the santa maria di fiori cathedral. Right in the center of florence, 10 minute walk from the train station and close to all the interesting places in florence. Clean and helpfull friendly staff

The size of our suite exceeded expectations. With amazing views of the Duomo and friendly staff. You could hear noise from the street, but it wound down around 11 and added to the charm.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2023 and it was magical. The location is amazing as its right in front of the Duomo - it cant get better than this. Both the Academia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery are just a 5 min walk. We stayed in the apartment in the first floor which had 2 balconies you could step out into, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a full-service kitchen. We slept listening to the beautiful guitar melodies from street singers in the night and woke up to church bells in the morning. The room itself was very spacious (definitely exceeded our expectations) and the master bedroom had a high ceiling. Overall it was a fantastic experience and the best part of our 10 day trip to Italy.

Beautiful! The room itself was breathtaking. Most Italian rooms we stayed in were very small and cramped...this room was the opposite; spacious and comfortable. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! We had the best view of the Cathedral, (literally right outside out window). This was the best location to be able to walk around and site see and still come back to the room to rest. Not to far a walk from the train station either.

Superb place to stay. The best location, really really helpful and friendly staff, good aircon and shutters, well furnished. Really can't fault it. Was very sad to leave after 4 nights in the Michaelangelo apartment on the 3rd floor. Handy Carrefour supermarket first right and right again out the front door.

Location! Location! Location! Location! Windows of apartments open to the most enjoyable view of famed Duomo of Florence. Unlike most of the tourists you can just sit by the window and immerse yourself into contemplation of eternal beauty... As to the Palazzo Gamba apartments... they are exactly that - apartments for rent with daily cleaning. All basic conveniences in reasonably good working order. Some ceilings have frescoes but... If you want a 4 **** or 5 ***** hotel look elsewhere. Antonio who manages the place is a very nice and helpful guy who stays at the entrance desk till 7 or 8 p.m. after that you use your keys to get into the building.

We stayed 6 nights there in early October. Given the low price and the excellent location, I had very little expectations. We arrived around 6:00 PM and the check in was fast and quick. We were pleasantly surprised to see there is a washer/dryer in the apartment. We later learned that this was the only apartment with washer/dryer, so do not get your hopes up. The building is very old and shows wear, but the apartment and the bathroom were very clean. Will definitely recommend. Being very close to the main attraction in Florence, you should expect to hear loud noises and singing into late hours of the night. We got used to the noise very quickly and was not a bother after the first night. But you may want to plan on bringing ear plugs.

Massive apartment, with great facilities… only downside is that if your looking for a good nights sleep, don’t stay here as the plaza square outside the balcony is always busy, buskers, music and people…

Sleeping with your feet against the Cathedral of Florence. Apartment is spacious and clean, was for 6 people but I was there on my own. Location is great. Staff is very friendly. Wifi was available but that could be better.

What an unbelievable and breathtaking view of the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore! We stayed in the 2bdrm apt suite with balcony with our three kids and it was clean and spacious! The staff were all very friendly and so easy to communicate with. The location can’t be beat as we were central to everything in Florence. We walked to the Piazzele Michaelangelo and Rose gardens on the other side of the Ponte Vecchio. Gorgeous gorgeous views! Would we recommend Palazzo Gamba…100% yes!

As my harsh alarm clock rang this morning so I could get up for work – I remembered how gently I awoke while in Florence last week - to the sound of the Duomo church bells while staying at Palazzo Gamba - a magical place. We wanted an apartment that was clean, spacious, safe, air conditioned, close to everything – so we chose Palazzo Gamba based on personal recommendations. From my initial inquiry email – Antonio and Sarah were responsive, caring, informative, and so very easy to work with. What a treat to meet them during our stay there! – since the front door/desk is manned from 7:30am-7pm. There is much to see and do in Florence and the surrounding area. Your residence at Palazzo Gamba is the absolute perfect place to call home each day. If you can – sit on your balcony with a glass of wine, throw open your windows, take-in the sights/sounds/smells that are Florence. Though there is an elevator – walk the stairs to see each of the floors, and imagine what is the history behind this beautiful Palazzo. If you have questions or issues - Antonio and Sarah are there to help and are a wealth of knowledge. The owner of this Palazzo is very lucky to have them on their staff. For us, this was the perfect location as our home-base in Florence for 7 nights. I will most surely return to Florence – and will again stay at Palazzo Gamba - since I did not want to leave. Alla prossima, Jackie (from New York)
