We attended the Semi-pricate Uffizi tour and I thought this tour was truly everything we had hoped for. Let me go through the whole experience before talking about my views. Firstly, you meet at their office, which is on the adjacent street of the Uffizi. We used our own earphones which is obviously better. We then walked towards Uffizi, and the moment we stepped out of City Florence Tours, the guide was on at 100%. The whole tour was just exceptional. She expertly led us through the gallery going through the important details of the paintings. I think the best part of Uffizi is the opportunity to go through the progress of the Renaissance with the actual works in front of you. We started with late medieval headlined by Giotto, early Renaissance with Sandro Botticelli, the usual masters, ending with Titian and Caravaggio in the second floor. The tour was incredibly insightful and well paced. I understand going for tours are always a bit of a hit-and-miss because it really depends on the guide you got. Fortunately for us, our guide was absolutely amazing.

We had the most wonderful guided tour of the Uffizi with a gentleman called Ivano Tagglioferri. He was so knowledgeable and deconstructed important interesting paintings from 1200’s on for 1.5 hrs. It was crowded of course but we had radio headsets so could hear him perfectly. We learned so much about art. Really recommend this company and this guide.

Our guide Giacomo was absolutely brilliant. Fun, knowledgeable, he managed to condense so much History in 1.5hrs, always keeping us engaged and entertained. Highly recommend.

Maria Christina, our tour guide was wonderful, providing details we would have missed - about the painting’s message, artist’s technique and any other information she thought would help us appreciate the art work. After the tour, Maria recommended viewing Titian’s painting, which saved us time. Thank you!

I have been to the Uffizi gallery before and I was excited to return. I booked with City Florence Tours because of their 5 star rating and great reviews. I was not disappointed. Straight away when we met Martina she was very nice and friendly and inclusive to all in our group. Her explanations of the history of the Uffizi, the Medici family and the painters and their work really brought our tour to life. It was obvious she was an art and history expert. Not only super knowledgeable but clearly passionate about the Uffizi. She answered all our questions. Martina made us laugh with some of her insights into Florence and its people and its history, I think that is a skill in a language that is not your first. Highly recommended and thank you Martina.

Oxana was one of our best guides we’ve had in Italy. She was knowledgable of just about everything in Florence and presented in a way that was interesting without being overwhelmed by historical facts.
