I am relatively a beginner in the salt water world and the team at Marine Solutions have been great to work with and learn as I go. Damian and Joe always provide great advice and guidance. This past summer I came home to a leaking 90 gallon tank , Damian and Joe came right over and had my entire reef swapped over in under 6 hours . Anyone experienced or a beginner this is the place…..

EDIT: attached pics. This yall? Garbage. .I must say, this place was much better with the old owner Brad. . Now its dirty, dark, and gloomy. Way over priced. Gateway aquatics, corals and more, and seascape aquatics are constantly 50-100% cheaper. The employees are rude and know little to nothing about the hobby. Only positive is the lady with no teeth will give good deals if Owner is gone.

Best saltwater store in the St. Charles area! They’ve been there longer than any of the others around and truly know their stuff. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to take the time to explain things and teach you along the way. Glad to have a shop like them around here!

Worst fish store in the St. Louis area! The owner Damon is pretentious. Literally told customers to google their info and told them either buy the fish or get out! He sold us water for our tank which ruined and killed everything!

I made my first trip here on Saturday. I was going just to browse around a new coral store. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was told that this place was way overpriced, but I disagree, the prices were awesome. All of the tanks are clean and healthy, and they have a good selection for everyone. I also picked up this beauty on Saturday. I will definitely be back soon.

I have been a customer for many years dating back to their Saint Charles location. Always valued experience and helpfulness compared to price as anyone can sell based on price. Purchased fish, equipment and supplies for all of my tanks. The owner has always been very helpful and supportive and helped when my son got started. Last week I discoved my 5 inch puffer was eating my fish. 3 clowns, 3 engineer gobies, one diamond goby and other various fish over the last couple of months. I called during the week and asked if I could trade for something and told they had room and could work something out. I brought in Sunday and had to run out and said I would come back later that day. When I got back I asked what I could get back in credit I was told $10 credit. I was kind of shocked considering the 2 previous puffers I purchased from them were about $60 minimum. It took me a while for it to sink in but told them I could not accept it. I would take my puffer back with me. I believe they would have easily sold this fish for $100.00..... I won't be back no matter what I need..... or how long it will take me to get it from someone else. They lost a long time customer.

Horrible customer service. The guy there acts like you should know everything. Unless you're an expert I'd stay away as he has no desire to teach you. Instead you'll probably get laughed at. EDIT: uping the review from 1 to 3 stars as the owner called me which to me shows he cares. Also will mention store does have a good selection of fish.

Seemed like a nice place at first, been waiting for their freshwater displays to be set up, but it’s been far too long most likely 2+ years and it has just become frustrating. I used to buy fish here every so often, but every time I bring them home a few days later, they would die from ich. Yeah, until I discovered some other stores, I realized that they have not ran any sort of copper system or any system at all to quarantine their fish. They are basically selling us sick fish, and it is very frustrating. I tried to ask questions and they made me feel stupid because they told me that I should know this stuff and that it’s common sense, most likely will never be coming back big disappointment but best of luck

This place is stellar. The selection is incredible and the employees are kind and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated their PAR meter rental service. This is quickly becoming my new favorite reef shop in the STL area.

My go to place for saltwater fish, coral and equipment. The owner is very knowledgeable and always willing to help lead people in the right direction with their setups. They always have a very wide selection of fish and coral and constantly run weekly sales. They're also very good at assisting you with any equipment you purchase from them should you need help with setup or troubleshooting. The store also offers maintenance services which is a nice plus!

Nice saltwater fish store. They have a large selection of saltwater fish and corals and the staff is friendly and informative. They also carry rod's fish food which we love to use and you won't find it at Petco or any of the big box pet stores.

Took advantage of someone new to the hobby. I had told the person working that I was looking to do a nano reef tank and they sold me something opposite of it that would eat corrals even after asking multiple times and then when I was told by my local store that the fish will eat corrals I contacted marine solutions and they told me sorry all sales are final but they would take it off me for free. Additional was over charged on a couple other fish I received from there when there was supposed to be a discount but you can’t see the receipt until after being charged and then they’ll say “all sales are final”. Very sketchy.

Wow! What an inventory. This very well stocked store has an incredible selection of corals, fish and supplies. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable both qualities you should expect when shopping for marine aquarium inhabitants and accessories. They can also set up a plan to do the maintenance for you in your home. Highly recommend checking them out today! 👍👍

Wow! Impressive store. The stock of Corals and Fish they have is the best I have seen. The staff was super nice and friendly. I've been going to a different store for my saltwater needs,stopped in here for something's because I was in the area and glad I did..I now have a new store for all my saltwater Aquarium needs and wants...You will want to check this place out!

I would recommend this place to anyone one of the best fish stores I have been to. Huge selection and they carry fish most don’t. We also recently moved our tank Damon and his staff kept them all healthy we very much appreciate it. Big thank you!

Had a great deal going on Firefish and the store is absolutely incredible. I mean wow!!! The tanks, the fish, the corals... I was super impressed with the selection available. The staff member that helped us was incredibly friendly. My only issue is I wasn't greeted when coming in the store. I can't wait to go back and continue building on this first nano reef.

A very wide selection of saltwater fish. They charge a little more than some other local stores but they have the best selection and the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable!

We went looking for some new fish for my freshwater aquarium and it turns out that they only carry saltwater creatures. However it was so cool in there and they were so friendly and helpful that we still had a great time seeing everything. Made me really wish I had a saltwater tank! Great experience all around!
