    The groomer is great if I knew how to spell her name correctly I would. My dog loves her and I’m completely comfortable leaving her there

    It a well stock pet store. They had everything I was looking for to help set up my new saltwater aquarium. Found a few things I didn't know I wanted for a different aquarium I have setup. The staff was friendly.

    Kind’ve really upset. I got a king snake from here and they gave it to me in a pop up box! I didn’t think about it… well it escaped. I looked in the box when I got inside and it was gone! I’m extremely disappointed.

    Was so excited for the new store but was disappointed when I walked back to where the animals were. They have leopard geckos on sand no hides. Corporate told them either sand or carpet. The sand will cause impaction and the carpet holds in bacteria and the reptiles snag their nails and teeth on it and pulls then out. The parakeets were always chirping and playing at the old store but quiet and sitting on the bottom of the cage. They took their fun playyard away and just put flimsy perches. The perches were too scary for them to go on. I could tell the workers were not happy with the new store. They either do what corporate says or they are fired. Corporate doesn't care about the animals just making money. If you want a great animal please find a local breeder or go to the nearest reptile animal show. So many people buy from these big corporations and regret it. They get the wrong information and their animal gets sick. They pay big vet bills only to find they were told the wrong set up. Then their reptile dies or they pawn it off to a rescue and never want one again. Please do your research before buying an animal. What they tell you in stores in just wrong. There are many facebook groups out there with excellent information. Stay clear of this location now for reptiles or birds! I used to recommend this place in their old location but this new one is a joke!!!

    I will not shop here. The treatment of their green cheeked Conures looks horrible. 1 to 2 toys per cage? Tell me you know nothing about birds.

    Jessica did such an amazing with my old man. He is usually vocal and nibbles when you touch his paws and doesn’t like baths. He was shiny and calm when i showed up.

    I came in to buy dog food I had received a text telling me I had points to redeem before end of month! Clerk would not even check for me said he didn’t see it! He did not even give me a chance to show him my text???

    I had a card for petco, it had a zero balance and was paid on time. The bank closed my account due to not using it enough, because I paid it in full and on time with no balance. Should have been no issues. I will NEVER shop your store again. Any petco.

    Savvy got a bath and all went well. She's so soft. But her anal glands are still a problem for her. Constantly scooting. She was constantly scratching herself; I thought she had fleas, but no fleas were found. Came in for shopping and bought Hill's Science dog food. No dyes in Hills. Amazing in 24-hours she stopped itching. One problem solved.

    I moved since my last review so this is the first time I've been in the Peoria store for about two years and they have moved since then. "Maps" still got me there just fine. As for the store, everything I wanted was in stock and the staff was friendly and helpful as always.

    First time I've ever been to a pet store and saw tarantulas with a correct enclosure set up. Mad respect 100% great job.

    The staff here is very friendly and patient, and knowledgeable about their products. Their prices are also way better than other places. And they have a recurring order discount, so you can get that as well. This place is great!

    Doggy smelled good after getting her bath but I believe they left water in her ear or plucked her hairs wrong in her ear and now has an ear infection.

    Things are kind of crazy there right now with their big move coming the middle of next month. What I ordered online was at the front and one of the guys carried it out for me. Staff is nice and very helpful.

    I love the staff at Petco. They are always helpful. They also clearly love animals; we got our anole from them for $2. He had been found in a UPS truck and likely wouldn’t have made it if they wouldn’t have taken him in. In the rare event they don’t have crickets in stock and I have to go elsewhere, I’m always reminded how much I prefer this Petco to any other pet store

    The latest example of corporate greed. Starting on 11/01/2022, there will be a change to our Pals Rewards Terms and Conditions. • Pals Rewards dollars will expire 30 days after issuance. I'll just be shopping over at Petsmart instead.

    So I took my dog into this petco to get my dog groomed. My dog is a teddy bear like a shitzu breed. I told the lady that I wanted her hair to be TRIMMED NOT shaved!, nails clipped, shaved AROUND THE EYES and that’s it, shampooed n conditioned etc. the whole grooming process. My biggest nightmare happened that day.. the lady decided to do whatever she wanted. Went to pick up my dog and my dog was shaved everywhere not just around the eyes!!! Absolutely not what I asked for!! She even clipped the nails but they were chipped and clipped incorrectly!! I don’t know who the lady thought she was.Thinking this was okay, thinking she can do whatever she wanted to my dog. But this is unacceptable especially since I’m paying!! Absolutely not acceptable!!! I will never go back and if you decide to go to this place for grooming you should think twice! The lady’s name is Cherie i personally think she should be fired!!! I got a refund but that still doesn’t change the fact that my dog looked completely different when I picked her up. I literally had to check if this was even my dog because she looked so unrecognizable Never again!!!

    I m thankful to still have a petco in town. It makes finding live feed easy for my reptiles but I really wish the workers had more care knowledge about the animals they keep and provided that to their customers. I come in a lot and always get someone who just doesn't seem to want to find out anything. I get it isnt like a zoo where people are paid to know but basic care should be well known with all the employees. Prices are also really high compared to online and petsmart. I did ask about price matching options but I've been told it isnt something they do. I'm still thankful to have them but honestly if petsmart sold live prey I'd be going there instead.

    Went in for a flea collar for my dog. Didn't have just a one use. Collar for around $10..wanted to sell me a tin that had like 10 uses in it for $109. Nope. Said they don't carry what I wanted. A pet store????

    I filled out a form to have a certain type of fish ordered. I was told id get a call from the manager when they were in and never received a call. After along wait I called the stores and talked with Greg Todd in the fish department who was extremely helpful. He's the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. I'm very disappointed in the way the manager failed to do her part after having me fill out a form and reassured me shed let me know when they were there and still dropped the ball.
