This library is like going back in time to the 'feel good','happy place' libraries once were. It has the modern technology that is also needed. You will find fun, informative programs that will grow your knowledge and pride after doing an artsy creation. Check out their little book store where you can buy gently used books. They also have a cookbook put together by the 'friends of the library' of patron and staff hand-me-down recipes for purchase You will always find a smile and a willingness to help from the staff. Over all, this is a pleasant, productive, enjoyable place.

This library is amazing! The staff works so hard for the kids. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. What a great library to be a part of. The events the staff puts together are outstanding.

Not so amazing if you are a different race other than white. I asked the refrence person if she could tell me where a particular author was. She pointed and said down that way. She was helping a white person getting her books bringing them. To her you get the drift. I urge all people of color go to this library. It’s got so much more then say the Midlothian library. But be warned you might not get help.

Hi resendly I was going to the library and I was going to get my kid's library cards and I had to sign it and she is now throwing a fit. because she thinks I drew scibles. Thank you for your time.☺️

Thankful for having a place like this where one can access the Internet via a PC. 💻 👍 Not as big as other local libraries, but the sharing program allows you to borrow certain items from other local libraries if you can't find them at Acorn. You will find the staff here to be so friendly, very helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. 😊 👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓 👍 Open till nine Monday-Thursday, till five Friday and Saturday. Closed on Sundays and some holidays. 📖 🕰 📅 This place is quiet for the most part. The staff does a pretty good job of curtailing phone conversations, especially around the computers where some people feel entitled to gab as if they're at home, in private. 🤫 👍 The entire lower floor is dedicated to children and young students. For the resources allotted to them, Acorn and its staff do a wonderful job serving the community. A treasured communal asset, indeed. 👍👍

Came there to quickly print something and although there were maybe only two or three cars in both parking lots combined I was told that they were at capacity and I’ll have to wait for the next person to come out. So I went to Tinley Park library which was maybe 15 minutes away instead and was able to go right in and print. Just want to warn anyone so someone else doesn’t waste their time. 🤷‍♀️

I love going here but recently had a very poor experience on one of the computers upstairs logged in the display went out is the reference clerk to help me she determined that the display could not be turned back on I said how about if you just logged me out I'll get on another computer she said sure she then proceeded to print out and make a sign out of order I didn't realize this I was sitting in another computer trying to log in it took her a few minutes and she still didn't log me out I just got up and left very disgruntled you think someone that's working in the library would have enough sense
