UPDATE
I
just
completed
10
months
of
physical
therapy
at
Athletico
in
Matteson,
IL.
After
spinal
fusion,
the
surgeon
mandated
6
full
months
of
3
sessions
per
week.
I
have
to
say
that
the
staff
at
this
clinic
have
me
WAY
ahead
of
the
comeback
game.
I
was
told
that
it
would
take
a
year
to
18
months
for
me
to
heal.
Now,
after
6
months,
I
am
capable
of
walking
5
miles
a
day
and
feel
stronger
now
than
I
did
before
my
back
problems
began.
My
progress
alone
is
a
strong,
positive
testament
to
the
skills
and
professionalism
of
this
group.
But
wait,
there's
more!
The
therapists
made
me
a
partner
in
my
own
recovery.
They
listened
to
my
input
and
worked
with
me
to
modify
my
treatment
to
maximize
my
gains
while
minimizing
any
risks
to
my
surgically
fragile
state.
I
NEVER
had
a
bad
experience
working
with
this
team.
From
Nicole
in
reception
to
all
of
the
wonderful
assistants
(Dorothy,
Daisy,
Niles
-
I'm
looking
at
you),
to
the
array
of
talented
and
friendly
therapists
(Adam,
Zoe,
Julia,
and
Julius),
every
day
that
I
entered,
I
always
felt
that
it
was
going
to
be
a
good
and
productive
day.
Everyone
extended
themselves
to
make
me
feel
comfortable
and
allowed
me
to
become
their
friends
as
we
moved
through
this
process.
I
can
say
with
absolute
honesty
that
I
never
felt
even
a
modicum
of
tension
at
any
time
during
my
many,
many
sessions.
Should
you
be
in
a
position
that
requires
you
to
enter
into
PT,
I
urge
you
to
ask,
beg
if
necessary,
to
have
your
physician
or
surgeon
allow
you
to
do
it
here.
The
combination
of
professional
excellence,
relaxed
and
friendly
demeanor,
and
willingness
to
work
with
you
to
take
you
from
where
you
are
when
you
begin
to
where
you
need
to
be
is
the
best
medicine
you
could
wish
for.
You
will
not
find
a
better
place
to
heal
and
become
stronger
than
this
Athletico.
I
am
a
67
year
old
male
requiring
spinal
fusion
surgery.
I
cannot
thank
the
staff
at
this
facility
enough.
Not
only
are
they
highly
trained
and
highly
skilled,
but
their
people
skills
are
also
outstanding.
They
are
supportive
but
push
you
just
the
perfect
amount
to
develop
strength
with
limited
pain.
Before
starting
there.
I
was
unable
to
walk
for
fear
of
falling.
Now,
I
can
walk
2
miles
with
confidence
and
even
walk
stairs.
This
improvement
will
serve
me
well
following
a
challenging
surgery.
Adam
and
Zoe
make
me
feel
as
though
we
are
teammates
working
together
towards
a
common
goal
.
.
.
My
well
being.
It
is
the
happiest
most
supportive
therapeutic
environment
imaginable.
Anyone
willing
to
do
the
work
can
and
will
improve
under
their
excellent
care.
I
look
forward
to
working
with
them
after
my
surgery.
I
am
in
their
debt.
