Y'all. If you're in the area and get the chance, do not hesitate to eat here. It's the best of the best. I took pics of everything. It was all amazing. The staff is also stellar. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean and comfortable. I love all the windows looking out to all the greenery outside. Best gumbo anywhere. By far. Everything was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Fresh, bright veggies. Crispy sweet fries. The sliced french bread... So soft and airy and delicious. I could list everything, but just trust that it's all done exactly as it should be. Even the iced tea was fresh brewed and refreshing. The portions are generous. We'll be good for another couple meals, lol! We ordered more than most would, so naturally we spent more. The pricing is definitely fair for all you're getting. First chance I get, I'll be coming back again and again. Pictures: Spinach & artichoke dip, sliced bread drizzled with oil, Chargrilled oysters, sweet potato fries, Seafood gumbo, Spinach salad, Caesar salad with fried shrimp. The last pic is too show the generous portions.

Interesting place to eat. Good news is that there is a ramp for handicap / limited mobility people that runs along the side of building. Front steps can be a challenge, as well as parking is limited on street parking. The five of us had various dishes at lunch. Everyone was satisfied with their food, but nobody raved about their dishes. Not a chain restaurant so that is a plus in our books. Half shrimp Po boy and gumbo, half shrimp remoulade and bisque, stuffed eggplant, fish with pecans.

We decided to dine in at New Orleans Food and Spirits for a birthday dinner, and the experience was awesome. The waitress was very attentive and was fast with fulfilling requests from the table. The food was warm upon arrival, and she ensured we had water or other beverages in the glasses before we were done drinking. In addition, the food was seasoned well and very tasteful. We were greeted by the staff upon entry, and the waitress was very nice throughout the dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area want to grab a good meal.

The Lunch Special were just Awesome & tasty..only thing the meal could have been warmer/hotter...the sauce on the Eggplant w/ crawfish was a little thin/watery sank to bottom of platter, didnt enrich by staying on top the angel hair pasta...However it was delicious. The Stuffed Eggplant w/ Crabmeat was excellent & could have been hotter.. Also the Restaurant was very cold inside, thus cool airflow, may have caused the Lunch Specials to cool quickly.. The service was excellent, effective, efficient. ANSWERED ALL MENU INQUIRIES, THE WAITRESS WAS WELL KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE MENU ITEMS...THE RESTROOM WAS CLEAN AND HAD SOAP, HOT WATER, PAER TOWELS FOR PATRONS TO UTILIZE....SEE POSTED PICs of Menu & Lunch specials..Overall a MUST to Try your dinning experience.

Our family stopped by this restaurant on the road trip from Florida to Texas. We were really happy with our choice for lunch! Delicious and fresh food with great service in a wonderful ambience! I don't remember our waiter's name but he did a great job! Will definitely come back if we get a chance. Highly recommend this restaurant.πŸ’“

New Orleans Food & Spirits remains a consistent favorite for us in Covington, never failing to exceed our expectations. During our recent visit, our group savored a delectable array of dishes, including the mouthwatering Stuffed Grilled Catfish, the indulgent Catfish and Shrimp Platter, the diverse Shrimp 3 Ways, and my personal choice, the Blackened Stuffed Redfish. The Redfish, a true highlight, impressed with its flawless cooking and perfectly balanced seasoning, providing a satiating and flavorful dining experience. Adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal was the exceptional service from Katie, our server. Her fantastic attentiveness and care ensured that our dining experience was not only delicious but also accompanied by top-notch hospitality. New Orleans Food & Spirits continues to be our go-to destination in Covington, and this visit reinforced why it holds a special place in our dining preferences.

Saturday night around 8 only had 30min wait. Food was great. Seasoned nicely and good presentation. Shay was our server and she was also great. Very engaging and attentive. Would recommend this place. Also very close to the interstate, which was super convenient

The charbroiled oysters were great, like burger king flavored escargot! The raw oysters were fresh.

This is by far my number 1 goto place when I visit relatives in Covington. The seafood here is always fresh and tasty. If I had to recommend something here that you just have to try, it would be the gumbo! We've even taken it back home in a cooler for family. I just can't get enough!

The only thing that prevented 5 stars was the inability to bring in a birthday cake. I understand all other types of outside food and such, but if i choose to celebrate whatever milestone, goal, achievement, etc, a cake is in order. Otherwise, the facility was nice. Service was great and prompt. Food was amazing. Simply not a place to celebrate.

In town for a very short time. We looked for a restaurant that would not be far from the hotel. Boy did we pick a fantastic place to eat!! From the Voodo Crawfish rolls, to the Chargrilled oysters, we're the BEST ever. The main dish of Shrimp with cream sauce (was loaded with shrimp), and the fried seafood platter were very tasty!! I highly recommend this to anyone that likes Cajun food. If ever in the area again, this restaurant will be the first place we go!!

Wife and I dropped in for lunch because it was across the street from an antique store where we were shopping. Had no expectations but we were very impressed. Got a half Oyster PoBoy and a cup of Gumbo and it was the best fried oysters I've had in several years! They were large and perfect! The Gumbo was full of Gulf Shrimp and very tasty! The 1/2 order of Onion Rings was large and the recipe is incredible also, so I assume that the other menu items are as tasty. Service and atmosphere is great as well. We will be returning to this place!

We had the red fish, rib eye and shrimp feast. All three meals were delicious. The server was friendly, attentive and action our requests promptly. A very nice dining experience. We will be back to sample some of the other meals.

Ate here with girlfriends on a Friday night. Of note: they don’t take reservations, but the wait was short, about 20 minutes for a table for 4. Food was quite tasty. Loved the crawfish voodoo appetizer. I also had the gumbo which was very good. My friend loved the creamy blackened shrimp pasta. Cocktails were decent. Service was friendly and quick. My only negative for this place is the garish lighting. It’s SO BRIGHT in there. Tone the lights down a bit; it would make the atmosphere so much cozier.
