Hotel is very pet friendly, they actually supply you pets if you didn't bring your own. They provide pet ROACHES!! Edit/ 4 hours after response on here from hotel management... The front desk was notified mid-morning, and stated that the maintenance person would come to the room to spray for the Roaches. By mid-afternoon none of the employees had yet come by. Stopped at front desk to remind them, and was told that the hotel uses Orkin and that there is no use in calling them as they will not come out and respray unless their technician personally sees the pests. Again, no hotel employees ever showed up with the can of Raid Roach spray as promised. The employees that were notified in the morning did not confer with the afternoon/ evening employees, forthermore not anyone confered with the next days morning crew. Was informed that the management will not look into using a different pest control company and apologies and condolences were expressed.

College move in day and it was a long day. After coming back to our newly renovated room for a nice hot shower went into the city for dinner. After a nice evening out came back to a very comfortable bed and slept 😴 like a rock. Candlewood is going through renovation and I have to say I'm impressed. My company puts me here when I'm in Columbia to train new drivers and it was nice then but it's a total upgrade from before. We will be back in September and looking forward to seeing what has been done or completed. Great staff who checked to make sure we were happy.

Complete disappointment. Traveled 20 hours to watch our son graduate from basic training in the Army. How can you post pictures of things that dont exsist at this location?? Pictures were very fluffed up. Not an accurate representation. Hotel had no lobby, no workout room, no laundry room, no coffee, no breakfast. They did have a view of the construction from the pool, wet paint, paint fumes, boxes, pallets and debris in and out. Husband booked and is not new to traveling but somehow missed the fineprint mentioning renovation. MAYBE, you could try and not hide the fact you are renovating. Instead of posting so small, give people a chance to understand exactly what they are getting. Secondly, our reservations where cut short by 1 night. They say they had us checking out sooner. They called us DURING Family Day and said we needed to evacuate. Had to pack up 2 rooms and find a new hotel which was awesome BTW. Daughter did the packing while we stayed at family day. Worried we would leave things behind. Had to cart all our luggage to new hotel. I could go on and on. We had rented an airbnb in va for the 2nd part of the trip. There were no surprises. It was everything it showed to be online. Will try and stay in those from now on. Horrible experience. Never again. Lesson learned!

I’ve stayed in hundreds and hundreds of hotels, I’ve never been told that I couldn’t use a Online Bank Debit Card (Chime, Aspiration, Etc. ) The FD agent cautioned that it was because of “Portland theft” .. ummm, isn’t that what the security deposit is for? does Portland not have police? Insurance maybe? I just don’t see why the policy would be so stringent. I booked with my EMPLOYEE RATE. I work for IHG. This isn’t anywhere near a 5 star hotel. My rate was $49 fcs. Other than that, my in room heater set off my fire alarm. Bed was cozy. Room spacious. All in all Would not return as I don’t use Transitional Financial institutions and check in was a hassle.

The laundry was down for weeks and they seem to rent out the pool area but yet dont clean up after..its trashed and yet not cleaned up by noon the next day for the people staying here. Most here are here to WORK so a nice pool area would be great for the little time we have off. I stay in Candlewood Suites all over the country for work and this one has not been pleasing unfortunately.

Brittany who is apparently the manager has a horrible attitude and felt the need to charge a 100 early check in fee not taking into account that I would be staying there for 20 days. Not to mention I was just there last week with a 21 day stay. She was rude and acted as is I was inconveniencing her. If you don’t like your job you should just quit not take it out on your patrons.

If you want to be thankful for running hot water stay here (week barley any hot water!) . Half of the time the water is literally so cold . So you’ll appreciate having hot water running back home . The bed feels like Patrick’s rock and not to mention how loud it is in the morning time ! I don’t know if the doors are made out of paper or what but you can hear everything in the halls .. if you’re here for business or work .. you won’t get good rest mornings are typically loud from everyone moving around and the maids vacuuming at early hours . Stay someplace else you’ll thank me later . I wouldn’t trust the elevators if you can’t even trust the water to run hot ..

Close to 77 and is one of the spacious extended stays I been in. Patio with TWO Grills are a plus for a pool, that's good enough to splash in. Nice nook area for office work outside of a room near entrance and gym is basic. About 2 exits away from Base extremely per friendly. Highly recommend.

🚫A big NO, especially if you are a family. We changed 4 rooms and in everyone was an issue: 1st🪳there were cockroaches everywhere. 2th had a horrible smell, not properly cleaned and I had the feeling that they didn't changed the sheets. 3th the stove stopped to working 4th the kitchen sink was leaking. 🚼We booked threw the hotline and requested for a crib, but when we arrived we discovered that is not a service provided anymore since COVID era (COVID become the perfect excuse to lower standards for to many stuff nowadays). 🔊The fridge in every rooms was very noisy.
