Place was horrible. Smelled like marijuana the whole time there. Microwave didn't work called office only to be told to unplug and plug back in still didn't work. Elevator were broke down and was on third floor with an elderly parent who I had to make sit on steps to get up and down stairs. Went to office and again nothing down. Called customer service and was told nothing that they could do and was hung up on.

The room smelled like smoke, despite of the non-smoking sign. We sprayed a full can of Microban air freshener and didn't help a bit. The sheets looked like they weren't changed. The toilet had specs of poop, the shower was dirty, and there was a tampon applicator in the trash. Thankfully, it is conveniently located in a shopping plaza with a Walmart where I bought cleaning supplies. If anyone stays here I would suggest you bring them. I would be ashamed if this was my business.

This could be a very nice hotel with a little effort. The room I was in was updated and clean, with the exception of the carpet which was stained and nasty so that I would walk around without shoes. The kitchen and fridge were clean enough, but could be updated. There were plenty of clean towels but they were super rough. The beds were perfect except for two pillows that were stained. The hallway and elevator could use some attention, and some work on the details and this could have been a five star review.

Young lady at front desk was not very friendly. Light in room buzzed and no cover on bulbs. Longterm residents below us smoked weed outside the whole time we stayed. Fan in bathroom did not work, so weed smell came in and never left. Elevator smelled like urine. Heard gunshots one of the nights so we used the luggage cart in front of the door.

If I could give this a Zero star I would.. It was the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in.. them mold on the fridge, bathroom not cleaned, bedding not clean. We had to buy new sheets, as we couldn’t stay anywhere else because everyone else was booked around us. They did refund us our room only after another family left because they did find a room and I said i was calling health department. The lady my sister had to deal with at night was rude and hateful and didn’t care. The front lady that i first talk to was rude to me, rolled her eyes when I showed her picture of the Fridge. The manager I talk to was nice but He new there was no excuse for all the mold

All of the staff was VERY helpful and polite. When we arrived, the card system was down. We were told the policy was to pay the entire bill at entry, even though our card was on file and they knew the last 4 of it, that seemed odd. We arrived at 8am instead of the night before and our initial night was charged, which was expected. We immediately left the hotel because we were attending a basic training graduation. When we returned at 7pm I took a shower. I immediately stepped in with the water on and my foot sunk into a hole. There was a very prominent crack in an oval of about 2 foot length of the bathtub. I finished my shower with my feet at the sides of the tub, very uncomfortable. I also noticed after I got out that the water spout was not connected to the shower wall, water was plainly getting behind the shower wall and causes mold. Cracked and sinking tubs also mean mold. The ceiling had multiple brown water spots in the bathroom. This was all very unsettling. The room door did not shut all the way at the top, it has a gap. When the ac was turned on, it completely opened the curtain and it wasn't possible to keep it shut. We visited the office to seek a different room, once we said the tub problem, the manager said she knew what room it was and didn't need to ask. That changed our mind about staying in any other room at this hotel. To know there is probable mold and still book people in that room is not okay. She immediately offered us a complete refund and cancellation with no fee. There were no other vacancies in town, as it was the night before graduation, and we had to stay with a friend in her hotel room at another place because it was so late. We were highly disappointed with the hotel, but not the staff.

Stayed here because it was close to Fort Jackson. Seems people live on 1st floor. With that said, other reviews are true. Smells like weed and stove plates are rusted. Water leaking from fridge. Then my worst nightmare came true, and I picked up one of my bags from the floor, and my heart dropped when I saw a cockroach run across the baseboard. I killed it, and thankfully was just my shoe bag. Everything else was on the counter. As much as I wanted to leave, there were no rooms in the area available because of boot camp graduation. Never again. The staff was very nice but it was not what I expected.

Was here for maybe an hour and a half before finding a few roaches coming in and out of the corner of the wall along with his bedbug friend chillin on the sheets. Whole place was disgusting. Bar of hand soap looked like it was used 50 times before us

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Fort Jackson for basic training graduation. Extremely economical price but my room was lacking. There was no coffee maker in the room and the outlet in the bathroom did not work. I tried to shower early, as I always do only to find there was no hot water at all. I did manage to get hot water 45 minutes later before I had to walk out the door to get to Family Day. I thought this was just a fluke my first morning so I mentioned it to one of the staff when I got my coffee in the lobby. She said it might be the breaker but it wasn't. I decided to shower before bed later that night and good thing I did. No hot water the next morning either. It almost seemed like the hot water heaters were on a timer and did not kick in until it was time for me to walk out the door. I say this because again, the hot water kicked in about 45 minutes later the second day as well πŸ₯Ί. The breakfast and coffee setup in the lobby was very nice and the coffee was great! I was told to report my issues to management because when I mentioned it to one of the staff she said nobody from management was in yet. She said they would probably discount my room. Honestly, with the price I paid I didn't want that, I just wanted my hot water πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I did try to contact the front desk both mornings but no answer. I also need to add I was on the third floor and I didn't feel like running up and down the stairs each time I had an issue. I also need to add that I attempted to shower both mornings around 4-4:30am and hot water didn't kick in until after 5am. Location is ideal for those visiting Fort Jackson! Also close to restaurants and you could literally walk to WalMart. So, based on my experience, do not stay on the third floor and if you have any issues, report to management ASAP! I would stay here again if I had to but not on the third floor πŸ˜‚πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Oh and I think you have to ask for a coffee maker.

Terrible guest was slashing tires in the parking lot and yelling at 5 am. Tub wasn't clean. Stain on both comforters. Lots of spiders outside of the rooms

This place is DISGUSTING! do not stay here unless you are a drug dealer and enjoy filth. Hair in the shower. Mold on the shower curtain. The place needs to be condemned, destroyed and rebuilt! NASTY 🀒

The front desk clerk desk was very rude the room television remote did not work, went back to front desk clerk was still again very rude. Beds were very uncomfortable springs in mattress poked you clerk stayed there were no others rooms available. Had to walk the length of the parking lot to get to room since the stairs were blocked due to construction . Very unhappy with the way my birthday ended won't be back.

Place is very nice and accommodative when serving their customers! I'd have to say it's by far the place to stay in Columbia, SC, off the Fort Jackson exit on 77.

Great location, cool staff, loved having the kitchen to cook our own foods. The room was clean except under and behind things like the bed and night stand. Ample parking, dog park area, granola bars, coffee, oatmeal and things for breakfast. Towels and bedding given by exchange only. Dishes and kitchen stuff available. Not a bad rate I was able to get during black Friday.

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent rooms from this Extended stay!! I made a reservation under my name and used my card. I have family traveling into town and needed a place where we could all be comfortable at and close to Fort Jackson. The staff took it upon themselves to alter my reservation without my consent or acknowledgement that they were doing so. Then I try to modify the reservation and they cancel it, only to make a new reservation they refuse to take payment for. I'm not going to beg anyone to take my hard earned money. But what you are NOT going to do is take my money and treat me any kind of way. I spoke to several individuals attempting to make a smooth transaction after complying with all their requests as far as filling out forms for authorization for additional guests. Whatever shady business requires them to make changes is highly suspicious. When I call to make a complaint because none of these procedures make any sense they cant find my reservation. Well, I have my confirmation and verification all documented. STAY AWAY FROM BUSINESSES WHO CAN NOT AND REFUSE TO CONDUCT BUSINESS LIKE PROFESSIONALS. EXTENDED STAY WILL NOT RECEIVE ANOTHER DOLLAR. VETERANS AND ACTIVE DUTY, IF YOU DONT MAKE PEOPLE RESPECT YOUR DOLLAR AND SACRIFISES THEY NEVER WILL. FROM AN ACTIVE DUTY SOLDIER OF 19 YEARS!

Room smell bad, no elevator, so if you have luggage you must do it by hand, the worst part is the roach infestation. I don't recommend this location for a long stay.

I have to say that I was very impressed with the accomodations I had during my stay at the Extended Stay America on Forest Drive in Columbia SC. Third floor for long visits, not my favorite but great for exercise for myself and my Daisy. Elevator equipped for the record. So anyone that needs it don't worry they have one and it's located midway of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, compitant in their duties of cleaning the room and the grounds are well kept as well. Plenty of room to walk Daisy so she could do her business, and a waste station with bags and can to dispose of anything that needed picked up. Located next door to a Sam's Club and a Walmart, a variety of great shopping opportunities of all sorts. Dining selections are plentiful, gas stations, everything within a short walk from room, unless you wanted to drive. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will recommend it to my friends and colleagues needing boarding in the area. Check it out for yourself.

Terrible, was there 3 days the place is nasty dirty and could not take shower due to shower being broke ask for it to be fixed but they never fixed it. The lady at the front desk was very very rude did not seem to care about the problem. Will never ever stay there again. Had to give 1 star because it would not let me give zero stars

Had a comfortable stay and was treated very well by staff. Very friendly, professional, and accommodating staff at the front desk. Although my first room developed a leak, I was promptly relocated to another room close by and management gave me a refund that more than exceeded my expectations due to the inconvenience of me having to move after working a full day. Room was clean and comfortable. Updated fridge in room and everything worked as it should. Was even surprised to return back after work to see that housekeeping cleaned room without me asking. Breakfast was coffee, and to go muffins and granola bars and/or oatmeal and grits in individual packets.

Do NOT stay here!! Look somewhere else. Front desk was rude, seemed like she did not want to answer anyones question. Room smelled old and moldy, carpet was dirty, ced cover had stain, bath tube looked like it was not clean, moldy shower curtain. Two good things, close to Ft Jackson graduation and what I assume was the manager was helpful. She was dropping off some supplies. I

The housekeeper just left, we checked in and roaches greeted us at the door. Toilet didn't work also. We checked in and checked right back out.

Came from Alabama to Florida to Columbia SC. I got her a couple hrs early. David said I could not check in until 3 I check to see if everything was okay to check in 2:20. He said no, I went back 3:45. He said no until 3pm. I never had a hotel Waiyed until 3, I know the rooms was ready, but, hw would not let me check in. They know I have a disability I have a bad back. He didn't care about that. I made a reservation for downstairs then he tell me I have to be onthe third floor. Explain my disability to him. Then 3 o'clock come he rell me the room are nor ready have to wait 2 more hours. Then he tell me he will be gone someone will help me. I say for compensation. He stated that I have to ask the next shift. I HAD TI WAIT FOR 5 HRS BEFORE CHECKING IN. Is that pitiful are what?

Run don’t walk away from this hotel! This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Filthy, moldy rooms (including appliances and showers), gaps around the door allowing any and all type of bug in (woke up one morning with a giant cricket hopping around!), had to sleep with the light on due to feeling unsafe. They also charged a totally different rate then what was originally booked for and now have to fight to get a credit. If you are booking because of boot camp graduation, there are plenty of Airbnbs that are nearby, cheaper, cleaner and within the are of the base. Would give zero stars if that was an option.

I stayed here when I came back home while I waited for my apartment. The first thing I had to do was clean the room, because there was grime coating the entire floor. I found a bedbug on the second night. After a couple of days, my emotional support animal and I were attacked by an unleashed pit bull next door. I've never been so scared in my life. This motel does not offer any customer service, and they charged me for a full week after having to leave 4 days early for safety reasons. Good people should stay anywhere else!

The carpet was nasty. Bathroom had a mildew smell to it. None of the furniture was cleaned or sanitized. Had dead roaches under the recliner and behind the dresser. The entrance door to the room had huge gaps around it. Big enough for bugs could come into the room. Got out of the shower one morning and there was this huge cockroach. I will never come back to this place or even bring my family to stay here.

My first thought when I ran across this hotel was the great location and pretty quiet. I’m a travel nurse that works night shift so I enjoy my rest. However, I have some major disappointments. First there’s no breakfast as stated on the website, room service never checked to see if I needed fresh sheets or towels. The first room I stay in started noticing that I was breaking out in hives, realizing that I was being bitten by bedbugs and immediately changed my room. I have never in my life had bed bugs in my home. Once I moved my room I thought I was in heaven, the noise was very minimum and no signs of any bugs. Well, I was wrong. I was in the bed watching television, about to eat my food and a roach crawled out of the heater unit. I jumped up so fast, at disbelief and fear. At that point I was ready to say my goodbyes to this location. That wasn’t the horrible part. I got home, started to empty my lunch bag that I keep a lot of things in it, only to find a huge bedbug dead. I was mortified. I’m so glad it was dead but I’m so seared that I may have brought one home. Smh…this was a nightmare. Let me also mention the fact that I had to endure the weed of marijuana the entire time. I would complain but nothing was ever done.

After a long few days of travel we stayed at this location. While the hotel was not the 4 seasons, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfy. Women at the front desk was top notch.

Fort Jackson ESA is amazing! We've been here a few weeks and it feels like our home away from home. We travel around a lot to different states and this is one that deserves 5 stars. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff from management to cleaning is very nice, helpful, and amazing. The outside is also always clean and well kept which is a plus for my family and I. Would recommend to anyone doing any traveling.

We booked in advance over the phone thinking that this hotel was actually on Fort Jackson, AND it was not!? I asked the lady at check in why it listed the hotel on Fort Jackson?.... her response, "I'm not sure why they have it listed like that!?" I asked if there was any type of military discount when checking in, the front desk person said "Yes, but you have to do it online, because I don't know how to do it. " Mind you we are retired and honestly thought there would be a bit more respect when it came to being located near a military base!? NOPE, not at all. We were told that if we needed fresh towels we had to bring the used ones back to the front and get new ones, so I'm assuming house keeping is a non existent thing at the hotel. Since we were simply using the hotel to sleep we did not complain, other than the fact that the AC unit wasn't working in our room at first.... thankfully the manager came over and was able to fix that for us after calling to ask over and over 4 times for assistance. Even after all that the room was BAD!? The room smells musty and moldy, they had a sheet on the bed, but it did not fit correctly, and the mattress cover had stains all over it underneath. Thankfully there was a nearby Walmart and I grabbed a set of sheets and blanket just so we could sleep without feeling completely grossed out. The refrigerator was working but covered in rust, ALL OVER IT!? The microwave was also covered with rust on the inside, needless to say, we did not want to use either one. The faucets in the bathroom came off of the wall when turning it off and on and leaked the entire stay no matter which way we tried turning it. "Complimentary" breakfast consists of muffins and granola bars sitting in a box on the floor in the office- entrance area. In my opinion this was far from being over $200 for 2 nights. Next time we attempt to book a hotel at "Fort Jackson" we will make sure that is where it is. We would not recommend this hotel. By far one of the worst hotels we have EVER stayed at. Horrible response from hotel management after my review. There is absolutely NO WAY we will ever return to this hotel.
