I
was
very
disappointed
after
what
will
be
my
final
stay
at
this
hotel.
My
organization
recommends
this
hotel
and
a
newer
competing
hotel
across
the
street
as
options
for
its
board
members,
remote
staff,
and
many
workshop
attendees
who
visit
our
Rockville
offices.
Until
this
trip,
I
preferred
the
Hilton
over
the
competition,
as
it
was
easier
for
me
to
walk
to
the
office,
and
the
staff
and
hospitality
were
always
top-notch.
I
feel
quite
differently
today.
Our
office
manager
has
booked
rooms
for
guests
at
the
Hilton
for
several
years,
and
I've
stayed
several
times
without
issue.
When
I
arrived
this
time,
I
was
informed
that
I
would
need
to
cancel
her
booking
and
re-book
the
stay
under
my
name
and
card.
Not
a
huge
deal,
but
rather
annoying
as
I
am
now
required
to
submit
a
bunch
of
paperwork
and
wait
a
few
weeks
to
get
my
reimbursement
check.
Stuff
happens,
I
guess.
The
day
after
my
wife
and
I
arrived,
four
busses
of
schoolchildren
showed
up
for
their
annual
DC
trip.
Again,
slightly
annoying,
but
no
big
deal.
Hotels
are
supposed
to
be
noisy,
right?
The
following
evening,
my
wife
needed
to
grab
something
from
our
rental
car.
As
she
was
getting
into
one
of
the
elevators,
she
observed
one
of
the
schoolchildren
vomiting
on
the
other
elevator.
Trying
to
maintain
her
composure,
she
visited
the
front
desk
and
spoke
to
a
person
she
presumed
was
the
concierge.
We
were
later
told
it
was
a
random
hospitality
worker
they
had
placed
at
the
desk
temporarily.
She
informed
the
front
desk
attendant
of
what
she
just
had
witnessed,
and
he
told
her
to
"go
clean
it
up."
She
was
a
bit
shocked
by
this
statement,
and
when
she
tried
to
explain
that
she
wasn't
part
of
that
group,
he
stopped
her
and
again
demanded
that
she
go
clean
up
another
guest's
vomit.
She
did
speak
with
a
manager
the
next
day,
who
casually
agreed
with
her
complaints
and
shrugged
off
the
whole
incident.
It
seems
like
many
companies
today
have
given
up
on
customer
service.
I
find
it
quite
distressing,
having
worked
in
various
service
industries
myself
for
most
of
my
adult
life.
As
I
left
the
hotel
today
and
passed
the
two-day-old
puke
stain
still
smeared
on
the
elevator
door,
I
was
convinced
there
must
be
better
options
available.
