Made our first visit to Hikari Ramen as part of my daughter's birthday celebrations. I was a little disappointed about their 'no bookings' policy but we decided to take our chances. Luckily, the rain must have reduced patron numbers so we were able to get a table upon arriving. The venue itself is small but still manages to provide a selection of tables (for both large and small groups), as well as side-by-side, bar-style seating at a long bench (ideal for solo diners or even couples). Interaction with staff was minimal and, truthfully, we didn't build much rapport with them. In their defence, however, we quickly realised that things were really hectic, with in-house diners, takeaway collections AND delivery drivers keeping everyone working hard. It was really a case of 'hi, order, bye' but, under the circumstances, completely understandable. Our meals were prepared reasonably quickly but did arrive haphazardly; two meals first, then a side dish, then another meal, etc. This continued for about 15 minutes before everything had been delivered. Again, likely due to the workload at the time but a little frustrating. The meals themselves - various ramen options, Karaage Chicken, curry, cheese croquettes, Gobo chips, calamari rings - were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Serving sizes were more than adequate and the prices were reasonable. Under $100 for 4 people, drinks included, is a win in my eyes. Overall, although the service was somewhat impersonal and a little disjointed, the meals were great and we all left satisfied, vowing to return another day. PS........thumbs up to management for their objective and honest responses to critical feedback. It's refreshing to see business owners that are willing to acknowledge mistakes made, rather than blindly defend or deny them. Well done!

Absolutely the best Ramen I’ve had in Brisbane! The soup base is impressive. I love their soft shell crab and tofu, definitely my favorite side dish. The texture is just perfect! Highly recommend :)

I love their udon, the noodles are perfect and the sweetness of the broth contrasts the spice really well if you choose to add it. Their service is always very speedy as well, and it’s a nice atmosphere. It’s very popular some days however, so book in advance if it’s not a spontaneous feasting ! And of course, the presentation is beautiful !! I also love their soy based ramen, it’s so creamy and wholesome, easy 10/10. Their karaage and kimchi are also really yummy, and I find that all the mains are pretty averagely priced. However, entrées and sides in my opinion are a little bit on the more expensive side compared to other places. Overall, this place is great though :)

I was looking for a delicious soup for lunch after a long drive up from the Gold Coast and I just happen to see Hikari Ramen from the other side of the road and I am definitely glad that I crossed the road and walked into this Ramen restaurant because the Veggie Ramen that I order was jam packed full of flavour. The mushroom stock was unreal, I mean how can you get so much flavour from mushrooms. I added a little dusting of the Japanese seasoning for extra spice kick and I could not be happier. My taste buds were satisfied, my tummy was full and I was content with this delicious selection for lunch. Definitely recommend dropping in to Hikari Ramen for a tasty bowl of Ramen.

Definitely a No Return and No Recommendation for this restaurant. We were there (4 adults and 4 kids) and had 3 of these dishes and all 3 were burnt like what shown in photos. Literally couldn’t eat they should’ve not brought these unacceptable food to our table. Totally not kid friendly because I asked for a scissor to chop the noodle for kids and they didn’t have a proper clean one to give us except a small tiny one not even clean and told me that all they can find.

I live in Sydney but grew up in Brisbane, I love kakiagi nigiri, fried veg on rice, but they don't do it in Sydney, breaks my heart. Visited family for Xmas and came here, no joke, at about ten plates of the veg, so amazingly yummy. Lovely staff and a great space. Food is high quality and price is good.

By far the BEST ramen I've ever had. Most flavoursome, best value for money and freshest food. 100/10 recommend.

Always a great place to grab a bite to eat. I don't know why but it always seems to surprise me just how good the food is here and the portions are very generous. Great to have a quality Japanese restaurant so close to home.

Absolutely incredible atmosphere. Great value. Really good Ramen. 2 people can be fed for $34, insanely good proposition for lunch.

I love Japanese food, so I'm always on the lookout for Japanese restaurants and stumbled on Hikari walking around Springfield shopping centre around dinner time. The food was delicious and came to our table quickly. The atmosphere was ok, although all the staff calling out thank you as each customer left was a nice touch. The spicey Tonkatsu ramen was very tasty. It actually had a nice bite with the heat without being over the top and dipping sauce for the Gyoza was absolutely divine. The Takoyaki balls were also delicious. We'll be back!

My son loves the ramen here. His treat for excellence with school work during the term. Service is often prompt unless it's busy. They need more tables though!

Month of visit: December 2023 Always on the lookout for a ramen but since in Brisbne here it is difficult to find a halal/non pork and no lard ones i never had ramen. This place caught me because they have ramen that used chicken for their soup base, my friends and i asked again to their staff to ensure that this one doesnt contain pork or lard and they said yes. Surprisingly it was good enough! To be honest in my country there are many halal ramen that tasted better, rich, bold strong soup but this one is a good to try especially for my muslim friends who cant eat pork ;)

Service was mediocre. Noodles were hard, uncooked, and clumpy, also ramen noodles are supposed to be long, these ones looked like someone cut them with scissors. The shio soup we ordered tasted like literal 2 minute noodles you buy from Coles. Very disappointing food.
