Absolute scam. Booked the appointment a day in advance (live in a rural town where it’s hard to get into the doctor). Had to pay $60 when I booked it. Appointment rolls round, says the doctor is running late, which is fine. My appointment was scheduled for 9, it got to 9.15 and a pop up message said “session time expired”. And took me back to the homepage. No message from the company. No message from the doctor. No way to rebook. Emailed customer support who said “we will pass your concern onto the doctor.” Can not believe it. Do not spend your money here as you will lose it.

Don't use this service! Paid $60 upfront. They have doctors you can speak to right away, then appointments every 15 minutes all throughout the day. I paid, scheduled an instant appointment. Wouldn't let me join the meeting room due to a tech glitch on their end. Live chat lady so rude. Told me the doctor would call instead. Two hours later still no call and was told to "just make another appointment (pay) and then they will ask the other doctor to issue a refund in a few business days". Are you joking? I'm so sick with covid and cannot see a GP whilst contagious and nor will they do a phone consult without being in the clinic in the last 12 months. What a waste of time, and energy that I literally do not have. Too bad for anyone who is unwell and doesn't have the money to pay for two appointments upfront because of their issues. So insanely unfair and unethical.

I have used doctors on demand a few times and usually find them very convenient. However this time the doctor I spoke with didn’t even appear in the video, consultation was very short and then hours later I am still waiting for the script. I specifically booked the appointment early so I could get antibiotics first thing. I’ve tried contacting doctors on demand multiple times to ask about where the script is but can’t get a response. Not sure I would recommend this service if you were like wanting your script quickly.

I called doctors on demand to get a new script for a GLP-1 inhibitor as due to shortages I haven’t been able to source my current vial size - it’s injectable so would be able to stay on the same dose and have been on the medication for months. The doctor (Dr Hathor Kaur) refused to help as she is not my regular GP without a signed letter from my endocrinologist. I don’t know why I would use this service if my regular GP or endocrinologist was available. I stated that this medication has a significant impact on my type 1 Diabetes and she told me to go to hospital of my life was at risk (it’s is not and I had stated it is not). She also called into question if there was a shortage, if I had called pharmacies and the manufacturer (I had) and made allusions to not trusting me to split the dose. The appointment made me incredibly upset and the doctor provided me no avenues for support. I booked another appointment after this with a different service (Updoc) where I was very much supported, listened to and treated with empathy. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this service or at minimum ensure they do not consult with this practitioner.

$92 dollars for an appointment that lasts 10 minutes, and offers no outcome. Recommended that we see a GP in person whilst being aware that symptoms included a cough. Would not recommend.

I'm so glad i have found this service... I was really stuck this evening forgetting my script and being on holiday. The efficiency and care from Dr Nazari meant a massive difference to the course of my evening, very professional service, efficient and a great addition to our health care services, script arrived in minutes which meant i was able to access the pharmacy before it closed. Thank you.

Doctors on Demand is such a great service, especially in our current social environment. I have used then twice and have been incredibly happy each time. The doctors have been friendly, supportive and professional, making me feel valued as a patient. I have been able to get an appointment within an hour of first making contact, which is valuable when not feeling well. I wholeheartedly recommend them as a fantastic service.

2/1/24 Called this morning 7:24am like all these usual services book and pay. waiting for DR couldn't access camera on iPhone, so I hung up raced to the computer logged in and nothing. by this time the dr rang my mobile twice. I never heard the phone. by this time game over. So I get on website looking for contact, you guessed it its in Queensland and they are 1hr behind us. When I finally spoke to someone on the other end it was all my fault. im amazed they charge $93 for 15 min, $372 per hr. This service is nothing but money pinching scam. A humans health is worth a bit more than a phone call. Doctors on Demand you are a disgrace and simply care about one thing it money. They say don't go to the hospital or use your local Dr but it's the same 4 week before you can see the DR. The health service is just a money grab and lastly the dr rang 3 hrs later and you guessed it, I couldn't hear anyone on the other end. what a disgrace.

Made appointment and prepaid for appointment as per requirements. Waited in video appt for 20 minutes. Doctor did not show and then the appointment expired. Went to chat, was asked call back number and to allow 30 minutes for doctor to call, if doctor still doesn’t call come back to chat for rebook or refund. Great. Doctor still didn’t call. Went back to chat. Now they will request a refund from the doctor and will “try” to get a refund for me. Can’t promise. If I still need to see a doctor I need to make a new appointment and pay again! Then refused to respond further when I said a refund is not negotiable. Poor accountability. Would not recommend.

Unbelievable poor service! Do not use this service. The doctor hung after less than one minute on the Telehealth call for my 91 year old mother. He did not even bother answering our chat message where we had advised him that we were struggling with our camera and sound. This cost us 90$ and there was absolutely no one to call for tech support. Shame on this service.

Made an online appointment, they charged me, sent me a link, I clicked join, there was no connection to the doctor just my face on the screen so I messaged and sent a text chat for assistance, no reply from them, they ended the appointment, then nothing but the $60 charge. Most unsatisfactory as I was quite ill and needed assistance. My camera and microphone were accessible. I cannot recommend this service based on my experience. If there were technical issues I would have appreciated some communication.

Booked a 1030pm appointment on Sat night for $90 for my son who had an allergy to a bee sting. I joined the meeting and then received a pop up message that said the Dr was running late which was fine but then at 1045pm the session expired and nothing could be done about it. Probably shouldn't have expected to much more then this after reading alot of these reviews. You would think that the Doctor would give you a call on your provided phone number but it's easier to blame a glitch in the system or technical error or scheduling error then providing good service and care. Disappointed and would not recommend.

First time using this service the other day and it was fantastic. I was connected to a doctor immediately with a waiting time of <1min. The service I received from Dr Andreas Breitbarth was excellent - he was incredibly empathetic, supportive and helpful and it was honestly one of the most positive interactions I've ever had with a doctor (and this was over the phone!). I received some great advice, my medical certificate and prescription were received immediately via email after the call. Highly recommend - particularly this doctor but I don't think you get to choose

Really quick and easy process, have been interstate unable to access my usual script and received my necessary medication within an hour of requesting a repeat! Lifesaver, I will definitely be recommending this service :-)

Efficient, on time, polite. The service is simple to use, don’t be put off if you aren’t tech savvy. I will be using this service again. This is great as a back up, when your regular GP isn’t available. I recommend this, over those bulk, burn & churn clinics.

We are new to Drs on Demand, but so far the experience has been fantastic. Drs are very friendly and knowledgeable. We live in North West WA and to get a GP appointment is a 5-10 day wait just to get something as basic as asthma medication for my husband. This is a great set up to take the strain off the health system. Well worth it.

My husband booked an online appt to get a referral to see his specialist. He had left it to the last minute and needed it asap. Somehow along the way he managed to book himself twice, paid twice, and was called by two different doctors at the same time. When we contacted doctors on demand to sort out the extra payment, it was refunded immediately with no issues whatsoever. 100% would recommend this company. Dr was lovely and the response to my double payment was swift.

Had an appointment with Dr Celeste Vidot and can say confidently that she is the worst medical practitioner I’ve ever dealt with. She tried claiming that food poisoning and gastritis doesn’t last for more than a week and that she won’t give me a script for anti nausea medication because I might have “internal organ damage”. Where did she get her degree from sorry? When I tried explaining to her that food poisoning can last for weeks and months she arrogantly responds with “well I have a medical degree and you don’t.” Hey Celeste… you can take your medical degree and stick it right up your arse, I’m sure you’d be used to that anyway. Absolute bimbo.

Very grateful for our speedy, IT savvy Saturday morning appointment at super short notice for ailing uni student son. Have to admit that when I set up the account and sent $60 to an unfamiliar website, I didn't know what to expect. Happy to report that our doctor was fantastic to interact with and it's really the way forward if you don't necessarily need a hands-on appointment. For people in remote locations, this must be a blessing. Highly recommended. Many thanks for the initiative.

Always been on-time if not maybe 5 minutes over. Never have to wait at a GP clinic with restless children. They are always professional and prompt during assessment. Have used a few times and always had a good outcome.

Just wanting to share my experience, thoroughly impressed with this service. Away on holiday in another state and with no access to a doctor within 48hrs, we were able to book my daughter a telehealth appointment. I booked the appointment during the night, and she was spoken to by appointment the next morning. $60 consultation and her script was sent straight away to her email. Thank you for making this service accessible and easy to use.

Used this service for the first time this week and it was great. I was too sick to attend a face to face appointment with my regular doctor so decided to give this a go and I was pleasantly surprised. The service is based in Australia and it only took a couple of minutes to see the Doctor. Dr Quinn was very thorough and checked all my medications for contraindications. He also organised a pathology referral and an e-script. I was very happy.

Will be recommending this service to anyone in need of quick and easy scripts. There was an issue with the pharmacy not receiving my script, but the receptionist yesterday was so helpful and got it sorted over the phone with me so that I knew it was done. Very polite and well mannered too. Don’t see that often from the receptionists even at my local GP. It gave me so much peace of mind as someone who was nervous to use this service instead of a bricks and mortar clinic. The price is a tad steep when compared to other services, but the customer service and reassurance made up for it in my humble opinion. Thanks a lot.

I've used this service twice now and whilst you pay for it and don't receive any Medicare rebate, it's worth it when you need a Dr and can't get one locally. Each instance the consultation was on time and quick - 5 mins, I received my scripts via text message and have had no issues filling them at the chemist. A great service in a crippling Dr shortage.

What a fantastic service, we are currently travelling around Australia and I required a script renewal. Very simple process, spoke to a lovely Doctor and eScript link sent by sms to my phone. I've just picked up my script in Adelaide without any issues ! Will definitely use again, can't recommend them enough. My first time using a video consult and I was a bit nervous however the Doctor was lovely. 😁

Living in a rural town, there are no walk in clinics like in Melbourne! Doctors on demand as a first time user, I'm impressed. Joining up is straight forward, had an appt 1 hour later. The doctor I spoke to was pleasant and listened . I was able to get what I needed on escript. Very efficient. Don't let the $60 fee put you off. If you need a doctor quickly, this is the way to go.

Do not recommend this service. I have used them before and they have been good, but this last appointment was beyond disappointing. I will not be using this service again. The doctor spent three minutes with me, was in a rush to get off the call and clearly was only their to make money. Gave all my symptoms and asked me what I wanted him to do for me. You’re the doctor, you are suppose to provide medical advice. Very unprofessional and unapproachable. I ended up speaking with a nurse hotline and a pharmacist who were much more kind, understanding and took the time to help me.

The appointment was the only one I could get anywhere. At the moment- you can’t get into your own doctor unless you book weeks in advance. When you are unwell, you need a doctor straight away. This was so easy to use. It is not bulk-billed so you pay for the appointment. I was happy to do that. There was a waiting time but I knew the time from the start. Dr Chowdhury was very thorough and the scripts arrived to my phone promptly. Will definitely use again.

I have seen from the reviews that most people do have a relatively OK experience with this. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. I am off work sick and needed a drs consultation for a sick leave certificate. I booked an appointment for 12.00. By 12.10 there was no sign of the doctor so I sent a message on the online chat. They said the doctor was having technical issues. For a service that runs solely online, I would expect them to be pretty up to date with their technical capabilities. I then gave them my number for the doctor to call me. After an hour of waiting and them trying to call the doctor for me and messaging the doctor to ask them to ring me, I gave up and asked for my money back. Not a great service for me. When you are feeling unwell, waiting over an hour, even just in your house, is not great. Hopefully others have a better experience.

Could not fault the service I received. I chose a doctor after reading the brief bios of the doctors available. I requested an appointment at a time convenient to me and the doctor was right on time. She was very friendly and helpful, providing me with scripts for my regular medication and information I was seeking about other health conditions. The whole process went very smoothly. $60 well spent.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE ITS A SCAM - If i could give less than 1 star I would! I had an appointment for 9:15, the Doctor never showed up, there is no link to reschedule - just to pay for another appointment! As far as i can tell ive lost $60 !

$92 out of pocket for horrid service and no outcome. My daughter has school sores and when trying to explain the symptoms and the situation, was completely dismissed. Instead of calling me by my first name, was just called "mum". Thankfully I went elsewhere and was prescribed the necessary medicine for my daughter. Would not recommend this dismissive and rude service.

What a fantastic experience! It was so easy to create an account and have a video health appointment scheduled. Only issue was the website crashed right at the end and I wasn’t sure it was going to happen but it did as agreed! Extremely pleased with this service!

Great service and just as personal as if you were in the doctors clinic. In fact i felt the doctor took more time to understand my background and likely issues than if i was in the room. Very much appreciate the convenience and personal care.

I had an appointment with Dr Hany Abdelghani and he was very rude and dismissive, lacking active listening skills, empathy and professionalism. We are not products on a factory line! $60 out of pocket for 5 minutes. I wish I had read the reviews before making the appointment, but I was to sick to do that!

Booked an appointment for a couple hours later: I saw Dr Kumar and she was on time, took the time to listen to me and was thorough. She organised a script for me as well as a referral for if the script didn’t help. I received both within minutes of my appointment ending. I found her to be more attentive and helpful than any doctor I’ve seen in person recently. Highly recommend though I’m unsure of other doctors!

I needed a doctor ASAP on a Sunday morning and was able to register a new account, speak with a local doctor (not overseas), get a diagnosis and script within 20 mins. The doctor was knowledgeable, friendly and gave me all the information I needed. Highly recommended.

Dr. Martus Bin Lin was an excellent doctor! He really took the time to explain everything in detail for me. My father was a doctor at the Mayo Clinic. I can say to this company that you are very lucky to have him on your team!

I had a telehealth consultation with Dr Krishnamoorthy, and when I tried to ask her questions about receiving the covid vaccine after one already had the virus her responses were vague. I then asked her where I could get more information to better inform myself and her response was that she didn't have time to give me a list of all her sources, and that she teaches medical students and so wouldn't have the time to explain to me ( a non-medical student ) about why it was that i had to wait for six months before i got the vaccine. One would think that if you arranged to speak to a professional about a topic that you're not so knowledgeable in, that you'd leave better informed or at least that they'd point you in a direction where you could get more information on the topic. In my case I left not knowing where to locate any relevant information, non the wiser on the topic and sixty dollars poorer. A complete waste of time in my opinion.

Booked an emergency appointment for 5.45am in order to get an urgent script to stop vomiting. Dr was late, connection was terrible. Then, no script comes through. They tell me the script will be posted to the pharmacy. Why would you post a script for something urgent?6 hours later after constant chasing I was able to get a script to my phone. Absolute waste of money and very disappointing service for $90. I was unable to feed my son during this time due to nonstop vomiting. I requested a refund and heard nothing back.

My husband used Doctors on Demand due to a last minute toothache that occurred before our international flight. Matthew Farag was prompt, understood the situation and provided the necessary script. First doctor that’s ever been early for an appointment. And on a Sunday!👍

  • 1/5 Louise L. 1 year ago on Google
Shocking. Have used service previously, but after today's stuff around not again. Couldn't join wait room for my appt as it constantly said appointment not scheduled. Live chat assured doctor will contact via phone call. So I continued to wait only to then receive an email saying my appt was cancelled as the dr waited 15mins for me to join, and called me but had no response. Phone was by my side and only rang once from an unknown number (prior to me contacting live chat, even though they said it would be a private number) however when answered there was no one on the other line. Awaiting refund which could take several business days to clear, in the mean time we will seek medical assistance else where.

After waiting 5 hours for Call The Doctor to arrive with no sign of them towards midnight, we used this service instead as my daughter had tonsilitis and just needed a script in the morning. The appointment was immediate. Much better than going to doctor in person if it is simple diagnosis and treatment. The GP we spoke to was very polite and professional considering it was about 2am.

  • 3/5 Katie S. 2 years ago on Google
I was really cranky at first that I had to wait 15 minutes for my appointment and then it was just cancelled on me so I had to rebook with someone else altogether, however the doctor himself called me 30 minutes later and apologised and was genuinely happy to hear I had been looked after and refunded me everything so thankyou for that. What concerns me is, do the customer service team not communicate with the doctor when there's a patient in need? Very frustrating and unprofessional.

My gosh! This is the most incredible service. I was trying to find a doctors appointment for 2 days over Easter in my home town with no luck. Then one morning at 7am I decided to try Doctors on Demand. Within 2 minutes I was connected to a doctor. She was lovely and knowledgable and helped me with my health concerns. I had a prescription and a referral emailed to me within 20 minutes after my appointment. I don't think I will ever go and see a doctor in person again. This is a game changer! Highly recommend you give it a go.

Loved the convenience of having the ability to see a doctor late on a Sunday without waiting at the hospital or trying to get a last minute appointment on a Monday morning. Did however wait over 8 hours for my prescription to be sent through and the medical certificate was written with the incorrect date. Great service idea since there's not much else like it, but needs a little fine tuning.

This was the first time I have used this service and I am now a fan. I had a medical issue which was getting worse over the past 3 months. I'd seen 2 GPs and the prescriptions didn't work. In fact my condition worsened so I was eventually referred to a specialist. I've been waiting for my specialist's appointment for a month while my condition got worse. The online doctor nailed the diagnosis in about 5 minutes and prescribed the right treatment and medication and the problem was completely resolved in 2 days. No waiting for appointments (I went online on a Sunday night and had an appointment in my own home), no travel, no down time, and now no need to see a specialist at a higher cost and more lost valuable time. This ended up saving me time and money even without a Medicare rebate plus I am now finally well. Thank you.

$60 for an appointment with incredibly poor connection. On my end I was simply using my phone connected to my NBN which was running completely fine, however, on the doctors side there was non-stop audio interruption and the video did not work. Could not make out what the doctor was saying at all, would not recommend this type of online appointment at all. When requesting a refund I was also told I should have let the doctor know I was having connection interruptions, even though this was mentioned during the appointment numerous times.

If I could do no stars I would. I had a 4.30pm appointment, it went for 2 minutes!!!! $60 for 2 minutes!!! Whatever that’s fine I needed a script ASAP due to infection in my feet and hand and my doctors in my town were all booked out so I thought I’d try Doctors on Demand. Never again. It’s now almost 8pm and I haven’t received my script. I’m in incredible amounts of pain with pus coming from my finger. My toes aren’t far off from being the same. So disappointed I wasted my money on a service that hasn’t even been completed. I’ve emailed with no response.

While my experience with the Doctors on Demand service and the actual doctor was great, the system, quick appointment - I couldn't fault it... however I feel the fee to see a doctor is high. I am not sure why because it is cheaper for me to see someone in person. Given it's online, should it not be more affordable to see someone, or at least the same as seeing a doctor in person? However I really needed to see someone so I paid the fee anyway, but think it's taking advantage of people who are in urgent need of seeing someone.

  • 3/5 Malcolm H. 2 years ago on Google
This was my first time using this service. I'll admit that I had my reservations but I was surprised at how easy it was to use. I was only looking for a script so I can't talk about how well a medical consult would go. I do however have one complaint. I ticked the box for a repeat prescription but only got a script for a single fulfilment for a medicine I require on an ongoing basis (steroidal nasal spray). Having to fork out $15 on top of the $50 for the medicine each time makes this a very expensive service.

  • 1/5 Sandra N. 2 years ago on Google
I have used it a few times. Every time the doctors where cold, not interested and the qick diagnosis ( ignoring half of my symptoms) made sure that the consultation won't be more then 3-4 minutes (max). I felt more like an inconvinience to the person I was dealing with. There was no visible sign of respect, leave alone compassion. I felt more like a piece of meat with a credit card.

  • 1/5 L S. 2 years ago on Google
Disappointing is considered a compliment for this service. The doctor told me that it is illegal to back date a medical certificate...yet the days that I was sick were for the week just gone. How is it that a pharmacy, a GP and a hospital can provide past dates my Doctors on Demand say it's illegal...go figure. What a waste of money.
