    Went here at 5:30pm before a Perth Observatory tour. Absolutely lovely restaurant with great staff and excellent food. The gentleman who served us was very attentive and professional. The pizza absolutely delicious! And the chocolate mud cake at the end was HUGE! My partner and I could just finish it. Will be going back next time we have a night out in the Hills.

    Ordered a large paella from here tonight. Rice barely touched the sides of the tray, and wasn’t even half full. 3 mussels, a lemon wedge and a couple of spoonfuls of pretty tasteless rice. It’s rice ffs, cost you 50 cents, not even. Paid $30 here for stuff all. Do not recommend. Go elsewhere.

    Update on previous review, past 3x times we have been here services has been of low standard. Booked for a table of 6 for my Mothers birthday and they seated us at a table for designed for 4 xpeople staff were unwelcoming. The main older gentleman waiter is dismissive and rushing of customers. Other waiter was asking us if we wanted dessert while people at the table were still eating their main dish. They forgot to bring out something to celebrate my Mums birthday as arranged over the phone. Embers has lost it warmth and atmosphere will not be we returning anytime soon.

    Had lunch here and was impressed that they have separate vegan and vegetarian menus. I had the vegan vegetable korma which was tasty. Friendly, accommodating staff and dog-friendly area outside

    Massive breakfast selection, family friendly restaurant in a nice area. Decent portions and good value. Little issue was a Sourdough toast that was over cooked and it was hard to cut/chew, otherwise happy to come back.

    Went to Embers for the first time tonight for my daughters birthday. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. David was just lovely and so friendly. The food was delicious, hot and quick. The place was very busy but we never felt like we had to wait long for anything. David and his team made our visit very special with a sparkler in the sticky date pudding for my girl. Highly recommend however book ahead as it was very busy.

    One of Perth’s best neighbourhood Italian restaurants - family owned and welcoming for the whole family. Always busy so would recommend booking ahead. Delicious food. Especially the Arancini and Lamb Ragu. Service is always friendly and it’s great value.

    Amazing! I have been coming here since I moved here 3 years ago and this time did not disappoint the staff were lovely and friendly as usual, and the food was amazing. I recently became aware that it had new ownership and feared that the quality would not be the same but they have put that fear to rest, it was lovely ! I had the portofino was is one of my favourites from embers and my husband had the duck L orange and in his own words ‘ one of the best he ever had’. Amazing service and great food couldn't ask for more !

    I’ve been going to Embers for YEARS, like it’s got to be 15/16 years. Recently they sold out to a consortium. I was told nothing would change. Famous last words! The chicken cordon Bleu is soooooo dry now, normally I kick myself for not asking for the sauce on the side. Last night I was left looking for the sauce, the chips are stringy thin chips not thick steak cut chips. The seafood chowder had processed seafood in it and was flavourless. The quality has dropped DRAMATICALLY, we all know they shortcuts taken by these particular consortiums here in Perth, and it’s always the quality of food and it will eventually be the cleanliness too. What a shame for such a magnificent long-standing family owned business to end up like this. Sad to say last night is the last time I eat from Embers.

    Amazing experience. The man that served us was funny and polite enough to tell us to not order such a large entree, as the main is filling. We noted that all the dishes we chose looked small, however were just right in filling us up. 5/5, can't wait to go back!

    Amazing place! I have added a hand for size comparison. The meals are very large and tasty. The one downside I believe is the furniture and colour scheme, very dark and strange but I think it’s the sort of vibe they’re going for but would suggest a change to more cheerful colours.

    Very busy and wait for the food may take awhile but worth it. Portion was big and it was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef. Gravy was on point. Definitely recommend this place and also reserving before coming down.

    It’s our favourite place to eat after cycling in the hills. Ordered Asian style Chilli squid salad was kinda average but the duck dish was awesome. Just stick with the Italian options and you won’t go wrong here.

    A definite must for casual dining in the hills. They offer a great range on the menu and both dishes we had came out perfect. The mains are very big but worth it to take some home at the end. Ordered another pasta to take away after tasting how good this one was.

    They're good to dine out. Great pizzas and pastas. Took out one star coz the Las time I went there, dine-in wasn't available and there was no way for me to check if it was. Google said the place was open but there was no dine-in and no one picked at the front desk either. However, the place is good in itself:)

    Beautiful spot in the Perth hills and perfect for families or after you went for a hike/ bike ride in the beautiful mundaring area. The food was good, but it seems to be always crowded so if you don’t book ahead, you will only get a spot outside. There is a special menu for vegetarians and vegans. Outside was no music which could be improved. I was aiming for a pizza at lunchtime but they only offer pizzas for dinner - for lunch you can get burgers.

    Embers is one of the restaurants that consistently delivers, everytime I've been it has been excellent, great food (the serves are very generous), great service, and for the money hard to beat!

    I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years with my family, and I am quite fussy. The place recently changed hands and they have kept everything the same and it’s still phenomenal. The service is still excellent and they kept their word on not changing anything including the food. The food is excellent, it’s always delicious. The staff are accomodating and friendly. Thanks for keeping it the same you guys, we love coming here and it holds many precious memories for us.

    Had dinner again tonight, 7th July 2023 and as expected, the food and service were perfect. David is still here and did not disappoint. Thanks again for a lovely evening. Xx We had dinner at Embers on the 25th September 2020 and from the time we called to book a table till we finished our meal, the service we received from David was excellent!!! We felt like we were treated like guests at a 7 star restaurant and not a family restaurant. The food was delicious but the service is what we will be back for. We are well travelled and this service tonight from David stands up to some of the best we received on an international level. Thank you David and the chef's for a wonderful experience. Well done!

    The food wasn't anything special. Mushroom sauce was bland - potato mash had lumps of potato - asparagus was tough. A good seafood chowder is a taste experience but theirs wasn't. Dunno - Portion sizes were big and reasonable prices but not sure why I would go back.
