Best cafe in Taree and mid north coast! So unique. Customer service and food is very good. Perfect for car lovers))

Fantastic American Diner food. Best I've had, better than many Sydney Diners I've been to in many years. Brilliant drinks, hit the spot. Frozen Slushi spiders, milkshakes, good coffee. Gorgeous deserts. Very clean toilets. The entire family thought the food was the best they've had.

My wife and I went to our usual breakfast whilst on holidays to the Metro Diner in Taree yesterday and this morning, as usual, sensational food, service and atmosphere, spotlessly clean, lovely owners, this Diner is a credit to them for the way it is set out, a lot of thought has gone into making this place Rock n Roll heaven, it is a credit to you. The best music of days gone by playing in the back ground, what more can you ask for. Thank you ONCE again, see you in a few weeks . Mick n Di

Loved it. Nice decorations. Friendly staff. The food was very much fitting the diner brief and super tasty. My Works Burger was sensational. The chips were super nice as well. Would definitely visit again.

Really nice cafe with a very cute theme in the heart of Taree. Visited after a terrible night's sleep at a local motel, and was greeted by really lovely, welcoming waitstaff. The iced coffee (sans the condensed milk) was great, and my BLT with garlic aioli was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My partner had the pancakes (+ two perfect sunny-side up eggs), a mango and banana smoothie, and we also ordered the french toast to share. The portions weren't ginormous, but definitely enough to fortify us for the day ahead. The young redhaired woman who served us was really great, and proactively sought feedback if my special-order coffee wasn't good. The only thing I'd improve was that one piece of the french toast was a bit underdone, and it was served with chocolate powder instead of cinnamon sugar, and the pancakes and french toast are served with whipped cream instead of butter. Definitely worth a revisit when we're back in the area though.

We had lunch there today just a plain hamburger and milkshake. My God it was so good an old fashioned burger that tasted amazing . The patty was not too thick the lettuce firm and crunchy tomato was fresh and the beetroot was great. We haven't been able to find a burger this good for years. Did I mention milkshakes. Absolutely divine plenty of flavour and icy cold . Overall a great lunch.

Kim and her lovely partner and staff always make every effort to keep you happy. They've got some serious reasonable price vs quality value n their serving size is perfect! Great place to eat with family

Amazing food loved the burger and chips. The retro 80s style decorations were amazing and the milk shakes are huge and the slushies super refreshing. And the best part is the wait for your food or drink it super fast and you barely have to wait. 10/10

We got there just before closing - midway through our lengthy drive - the staff were happy to take our order - it was delicious and the coffee was - prices were great - thank you so much we are now energized for the reminder of our journey

Absolutely amazing food - perfect matchmaking of American and Aussie burger styles and the chips were delicious. Service was perfect and you can tell the place is also loved (and frequented) by locals!

I really enjoyed our experience today. Customer service was amazing and very fast. Simple menu, very affordable. One thing to note, you need to ask for tomato and mustard sauce if you want it. The hotdog came without it! But they were happily provided when asked for.

Came in once to try it out and haven’t stopped going back! The staff are amazing! The food is delicious! The atmosphere is retro! Would give more than 5 stars if allowed. Highly recommend!

This cafe has a great, fun atmosphere. Cool dinner music. And by surprise I got a fresh juice that was delicious, chilled and served using reusable straws. Also reasonable prices.

Nice local diner, food was freshly prepared and tasty. Chips are really hot and fresh. We arrived near-ish closing time so they were sold out of roast pork rolls, but kindly fixed me a roast chicken roll instead. Good value for money

I'm thoroughly impressed with everything about this cafe! The atmosphere, the cleanliness, the incredible prices, great sized (and DELICIOUS) meals and drinks, quickly made meals, quick and friendly service and good selection!
