Must try for foodies everywhere. I don't even have the words to describe how wonderful this restaurant is in the heart of Maitland. The food is made with such thought and care. Flavours are amazing. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious to the point that we couldn't decide on a favourite dish. Having said that, recommend trying the burarrata if it's on the specials. Very welcoming and attentive staff and a wonderful ambience and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you team, we'll definitely be back soon.

Excellent service and warm friendly staff. We greatly appreciated the waitress' recommendations re starters and menu favourites. Food was fabulous! Nick accommodated all our requests and treated us very favourably. Thank you Nick. Nick and all the staff were are to be commended on their professional and yet friendly interaction with guests. Our visiting guests were also favourable in their opinion of the restaurant and the staff. I would highly recommend the Rigby to locals and visitors alike.

Aww I just love finding the right places and this loverly place hit the spot. We were told about this cafe ☕️ and restaurant by my daughter and we said let’s go try it. Well we arrived and what a neat little place we sat down and being my family I said we don’t even need to look at the menu we are mad on Eggs 🥚 Benedict. I was hungry and couldn’t wait to try there specialty and it was no sooner served up to us. Yum Yum 😋 and the hollandaise sauce was the best I’ve had in a long time. We had magnificent coffee and finally found a place that serves it up at the right temperature. To all the staff who were extremely friendly and service was excellent thank you and keep up the good work we will be back. You got 5 stars ⭐️ from me

Brunch here, coffee was lovely, prompt friendly service. Blueberry and white chocolate waffles were delicious, great flavour combinations without being too sweet. Definitely going back.

Wouldn't be out of place in Sydney or Melbourne. Lovely old building with a spacious fit out. Tapas type menu was excellent, we really enjoyed the dutch carrots, and the fillet stake was also great. Service was faultless, our waitress, originally from Germany, was very friendly and helpful and seemed to have the entire place covered. Highly recommended.

Great place to eat in Maitland. Not only is the food excellent and the atmosphere and interior really warm and inviting, it stays open late enough to catch after (say) going to an opening at MRAG, which is just down the street.

Although my husband and I arrived late, just before closing time, we were warmly welcomed and had an enjoyable time. Since we arrived when the kitchen was closing, we were informed that only bar snacks were available. Luckily, we were in the mood for nibbles, so it worked out perfectly for us. We ordered a variety of bar snacks, including patatas bravas, toasted pane di casa with garlic butter hot pot, and cheeseburger sliders. The portions were just right for a light evening bite, and each dish was flavorful and satisfying. The service we received at The Rigby was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Their inviting nature added an extra touch of warmth to our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, with dim lighting and antique-looking furniture that created a cosy and charming atmosphere. It enhanced the overall vibe of the place and made our evening all the more enjoyable. Although our visit was relatively brief due to arriving near closing time, we had a good time and left with a positive impression of The Rigby. We look forward to visiting again in the future, perhaps during regular dining hours, to further explore the menu and experience more of what this wonderful restaurant has to offer.

Nice chilled atmosphere. Full flavoured coffee that tasted amazing, and the best banana bread I have had for a long time.

Wait staff were amazing, prompt and offered suggestions with lots of smiles. Asked if we wanted to wait in-between course, which was lovely. Hats off to the cocktail maker looking very efficient whilst catering for a large group of ladies requesting cocktails. It was our first visit and we shall be back. A very well run cocktail bar restaurant.

Our ladies social group were highly impressed by the hospitality extended to us by the team at The Rigby. The meals, service and atmosphere were all on point. It was the first time visiying The Rigby for many of our diners but I'm confident it won't be the last.

We love this place. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee on the run or a cocktail with friends, the team at The Rigby are always welcoming and professional. The food is consistently good and the drinks menu interesting and extensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was prepared with a purpose of quality / taste over quantity. Every course including desert was a treat and the service both friendly and attentive. Recommended.

If you don’t know any better this is going to be a very good place. I must say y he food was somehow well presented. That night we decided to try everything which they call me “feed me” We thought for $59 pp could be alright. The serves were very small for four people to be able to have a bait. My wife didn’t like the chicken and my daughter didn’t like the dumplings all wee happy with the pork. So, we were hungry at the end and had to eat all the broccoli the only abundant food served. I was actually laughing remembering that my father always forced me to eat all the broccoli. General was alright but just alright..

BEST MOTHER'S DAY EVER!!! I enjoyed the breakfast taco, a taste sensation perfectly complimented with a couple of the best cocktails in The Hunter! Hubby had big breakfast, perfectly cooked and enjoy every bit washed down with a freshly made cold pressed juice. Atmosphere is urban chic, service is first class. We came back for mother's day after an exceptional experience recently for our wedding anniversary dinner. Will be back very soon.

Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is so lovely and quaint. Male manager is very attentive and great customer service with my 9 year old son. Why I keep coming back!

Spicy Margarita cocktail was sensational. The garlic bread was also hands down the best I've ever had in my entire life. Atmosphere was really lovely. Such an excellent little place. Can not wait to go back.

Excellent dinner this evening at the Rigby with the banquet menu! The food was amazing with delicious dishes and a variety of flavour profiles from around the world (Asian with the dumplings & soy vinegar sauce, Middle East with the use hummus & zaatar, etc.)! Our favorite… the pork dumplings, such a bang! The only drawback was the Portuguese chicken which was slightly dry (chicken breast). The service and the atmosphere were in pair with our food… our waitress was very helpful to cater our friend vegetarian diet. Thanks again, and will come back and recommend to friends.

Sorry wasn't really that impressed, out with work colleagues, for the price, the food was pretty underwhelming, I dont mind paying the price I thought it could have been more. the pork was over cooked and dry and my work colleagues burger bun was day old and not fresh uneatable, the only reason the for 4 stars was the table staff which were quite lovely and attentive, sorry i wouldn't come back for the food

Googled wine bar in Maitland and ended up at The Rigby. I was super impressed with our evening. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and bubbly and the menu was so good I over ordered, over ate and still need to go back to try a few more share plates! Despite all that, as designated driver, I was most impressed with the no & low alcohol drinks options. I really enjoyed ‘The Shelter’ drink. It was SO delicious I might just offer to drive next visit too!

Always such delicious food and amazing service I cannot recommend enough!! Great selections of foods, wines, beverages too! Best sticky date pudding I have had too, I still dream of the sauce!!! Keep up the wonderful work guys we will be back soon!

We had a lovely working lunch at The Rigby. Our meals came out in record time and the service was fab. I can’t wait to return :)

We had a lovely catch up with friends on Saturday night at The Rigby. They have a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff! Their delicious food catered to a range of dietary requirements. One vegan friend even named the broccoli dish the ‘best broccoli he had ever eaten’! I couldn’t go past the garlic butter hot pot myself. So moreish. We’ll be back!

Took a drive one Saturday morning to come to The Rigdy. I have been following on instagram for awhile. So worth the drive. Atmosphere was spot on. Food was best I have had for breakfast in such a long time. Waffles and the big breakfast left us both satisfied. The coffee was hot and the perfect cup Will be back again. Next time for lunch. Highly recommended
