The food in this small Cafe in the quiet historical town of Wingham is home made, light and delicious. The Cafe would not be out of place in a capital city. Josh was friendly, helpful and charming. I would have loved to take home a bottle of their home-made tomato relish but they currently don't offer it for sale.

Great café! If it was in Sydney I would go all the time! Delicious, fresh AND healthy! Saved it on my favourites in google maps. Staff also so warm and friendly. Super nice to eat here!!

Probably the best pancakes I have ever had in my life. Everything in the dish works, I loves the dessicated coconut, peppitas and the Gogi berries they add a nice texture. The mango Macadamia butter is gorgeous as is the home made jam and syrup. Fruits were a good accompaniment and the pancakes themselves are dense and Devine. I cannot recommend this enough. The vanilla bean ice cream is full of flavour and the ice latte was a hit. I would have preferred more ice and less milk in my iced latte but that's my personal preference. You must come here to try the pancakes

One of the best breakfast and lunch spots on the mid north coast. Trendy cafe with excellent coffee, fantastic service and great ambience. Produce is locally sourced from local farmers and herbs in their back garden. Chefs menu regularly changes with exciting new dishes that keeps this place fun to visit every time. Highly recommend!

40 blokes on bikes turned up announced. The staff went into professional overdrive. Coffees and burger rolls came quickly. They managed us and other customers with ease. The owner should be proud of his staff. This place is a cracker.

Had one of the best lunches ever, here at the Garden Grub Cafe. On a hot March day I ventured in with my dog, and sat out the back in the cool shade. I was immediately welcomed by a friendly and helpful staff member. The Persian tasting plate was delicious and my fresh juice devine. Definitely will return next time I'm visiting Wingham.

My wife came in for coffee and something to eat Decided on the ham and cheese frittata Found out it had tomato on it which my wife is anaphylactic to They wanted to charge an extra $3 to get the same wrap made fresh without tomato which I think is ridiculous and a cash grab The coffee, we ordered Carmel lattes which would also like to know what was dusted on top of those because lattes don’t have a dusting of any Kind

Lovely cafe with a pretty garden. The food is well presented and yummy !! The staff are very helpful when asked for recommendations. A must when visiting Wingham.

The food was presented well with a variety of choices at a medium price. They had bacon and eggs. Potato toast. Mushrooms with egg and spinach. I had bacon eggs with spinach and mushroom on sourdough bread. The bacon was nice and thick and full of flavour. My other companions were impressed with their food. I have recently started to drink decafe coffee and have been impressed by not only the presentation of the coffee but the full body flavour of the coffee. Untill now the normal coffee was was wishy washy with no aftertaste.

I really don’t leave reviews but I couldn’t overlook my experience here. I visited this place June 2023 with my husband, and have on many occasions over the past few years. It’s a place with great coffee because it’s supplied by the best; Campos, an infamous established brand of around 20 years. The menu is varied and food quality is good but it is Sydney priced, in fact it’s now more expensive than many Sydney cafes at $16.90 for a soup. The location is also a leafy, tranquil spot - unlike any other in this area…. However a particular male staff member lets all other positives down. Rude, arrogant, unable to manage under pressure and obviously working in the wrong industry (between jobs??) … a bad day perhaps, but an absolute undesirable feature to a cafe with a good reputation and under relatively new ownership. Takeaway coffee only in the future for me, I’d rather give my money to those who appreciate it.

Great vegan options, loved their sourdough toast so much I went back the second day and had it again. They gave me a delicious macadamia butter to have on top, and the next day I tried the homemade jam. The banana & cacao smoothie was yum too. Most of all it has a lovely atmosphere in their back garden. We were very lucky to have warm days both mornings we visited, and it was really nice sitting in the garden with a drink & toast. Also got to bring my greyhound too. Glad I read reviews to find this hidden gem rather than try to find something in Taree. The town is cute too, very old school, and the people are so friendly. The wait staff were a delight. Definitely check it out if you’re staying close or driving through.

The food and coffee are consistently good at the Grub sadly our lunch was spoiled by the terribly slow service. We were a large group (12) and had booked ahead. Half an hour after ordering we were informed that some dishes were not available so alternatives were chosen. Meals came out in a very haphazard manner and some were forgotten. The last person to eat had waited 1 hour and 45 minutes, no compensation was offered. Doubt that we will go as a large group again.

One of the best places to go for a morning meal. Great vibes, amazing food, friendly staff. And the pancakes are to die for.

Fun place to wile away some hours. Food is pretty consistently good, and fresh. Service can be a tad slow but that's probably cos it's always pretty busy but it's always very friendly and helpful. The chai latte is divine, the coffee is great. I bring my nan here for our outings and she always has the best time.

Saturday morning breakfast with my family. We all had eggs on toast with a side of bacon. I tried a green smoothie and it was brilliant. My wife had coffee and she said it was great. Lovely staff. The meals were brought out fast. The garden setting is beautiful. I commented to the chef when we were leaving how good the meal was he prepared and it was a special treat to eat there. Thank you to everybody at The Garden Grub Cafe! The best dining experience in Wingham ( 5 🌟 )

Extremely nice BLAT for lunch. There enjoyed their sweet potato fritters as well. Capuccino was perfect. Staff were friendly. Lovely peaceful shady garden outlook. Highly recommend.

Service: Friendly and quick. There was one waiter in particular who was quite friendly and animated which we loved. Food/Drinks: Delicious and beautifully presented. All their toppings worked well with the meals and were visually appealing. Unfortunately, the coffee was not great. If it was, I would definitely give 5 stars. Atmosphere: The decor was quirky and eclectic which we loved. Price: Pretty standard. It was worth it at its given price point.

Got a cappuccino this morning. It was scorching hot, literally burned the inside of my mouth, it’s still sore while eating dinner. Cappuccino is supposed to be served at 65 Degrees C not 90. Invest in a thermometer when frothing milk, also invest in a spoon to stir the coffee as I found my three sugars at the bottom of the cup in the last mouthful after it finally cooled down. Service was friendly and fast, otherwise it would be one ⭐️. Won’t be back, will try one of the other cafes in town on Friday.

This cafe appears to have it mojo back again. We went here for a few years and loved it. However it’s quality of meals declined for about a year. On Monday four of us had breakfast and it was back to it’s best. We had a range of meals and they were all superb. The male waiter was also witty and served with aplomb! Nice to have this cafe back to its best again

First-rate experience! Great character and open feel inside, and a spacious, relaxed area out the back. Seating is available under a roof with fans or around shady trees. I went there while on a bike ride. With the fun, motorcycle-friendly roads around here, I'd thoroughly recommend this as a rest stop for bike riders. It's airy and cool after wearing all the riding gear. Service for coffee was fast, friendly and cheerful.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Very expensive stale microwaved food with nothing for kids. Been going for years but never again. Service was friendly and polite.
