Amazing
dunes
beach
and
river...
We
parked
along
the
Highway
1
just
before
the
bridge
crossing
the
10
mile
river
and
went
down
the
trail
to
the
dunes.
The
trail
was
small
and
steep
but
I
was
able
to
climb
it
with
a
bit
of
a
bunky
knee.
Looks
like
these
dunes
are
also
used
by
trail
riders
on
horse
back.
Once
at
the
bottom
we
traveled
quite
a
ways
south
then
back
up
to
the
river
mouth
completing
it
all
with
lots
of
stops
in
about
2
hours
walking
a
total
of
2.5
miles.
Found
lots
of
sand
dollar
pieces
all
over
but
the
better
ones
were
near
the
river
mouth.
We
went
first
thing
in
the
morning
on
a
Thursday
and
had
the
entire
beach
to
ourselves
the
whole
time.
It
was
amazing!
Saw
seal
lions
observing
us
from
the
river
and
crab
boats
setting
crab
pots
out
to
sea.
I
was
surprised
not
to
see
any
Kayaks
in
the
river,
it
seems
like
a
fabulous
place
for
it,
looked
like
a
river
front
dirt
road
a
little
ways
before
the
bridge.
